In this episode my good friend Rambo from CHP showed off some their elite vehicles that they use for their daily operations. We got to tour their Mobile Command Center, Chevy Tahoe, Bicycle Unit, Immediate Mobile Command Vehicle, and their Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Dodge Ram.

As a retired CHiP, it was awesome to see the new tech. I’ve been retired for 6 years now after 31 years on the road as a CHiP. The bikes are used for daily patrol on the Golden Gate Bridge as well as the Capitol, among other places. You did not get to see our boats, Helicopters and Polar Bear cars. no review on the Charger either. I saw a classic CHP Mustang in the background. Thank you so much for your vlog. The CHP personnel were top notch and I love what you do! 🚓
Respect earned
Thank you for your service, sir!
Thank you for your long service
Ramdo and Baldonado seems like such awesome guys
I'm pretty sure that the show CHiPs used Kawasaki bikes, not Harley's
They had also rode a bunch of BMWs bikes in the early 2000's..remember talking to a neighbor that was a motor cop. his department was small (located in Riv Co), but he said when they called Harley Davidson to ask for a loaner to help decide what they would use, Harley laughed and told them to get in line it would be a few months...conversely they called BMW and they showed up that week with a bike. I remember another municipality also in Riv Co had big Honda's at the time..both those bikes were too cool, looked like Euro sport tourer's...
1981 kawasaki kz1000p-16
In the 70's they were using Kawasaki KZ-1000'S then I lost track of the motorcycles that were in use in California.
Nick make one with Alaska State Troopers.
TAHOE / SUBURBAN 😍
If you ask me the semi truck is for CHP party
Umm Officer Green apparently you have never seen the TV Series CHiPS because they were not Harley's in TV SERIES CHIPS They were Kawasaki KZ's 900cc & 1000cc. Harley Davidson back then was owned by AMF Corp. The Same AMF who manufactured bowling alley equipment, & outdoor recreational equipment. AMF-HARLEY Motorcycles were not very desirable in the 70's.
CHIPS Aired from 1977 - 1983
You Officer Green get a GIANT "F"
7:47 Officer Rob is one of my good friends, I was triipin out when I saw his name on your video lol.
bakerXderek well your gonna like the next Police Cars Video 🤫

I got more respect to the CHP that the City Police, the Highway Patrol always go by the Book
if you got caught DUI regardless if your a Police or a Vice Mayor, your still going to Jail.
No hate here, I think CHP is better than LAPD.
I mean they have completely different objectives thats a pretty poor comparison. They patrol highways and govt property.
I mean you aren’t wrong
Bobby Brady Most LEO’s will not enforce unconstitutional firearm laws. Maybe if you’d pay attention to the events in Virginia, or even better yet, talk to an officer/deputy/Sheriff. Ask questions and make a friend. That’d clear up a lot, but that’s probably too much effort for someone like you, huh?
I mean their both good agencies and yes the CHP academy is way better than LAPDs.
@@b0gie726 CHP is my game but for SWAT I think LAPD
Man, Ofc. Karasinski is fine as hell
Chickenman702 yes she is
Gotta love a woman in uniform!
Seriously lol
Yea
I know who I want for Christmas she is HOT
I was going to ask if Officer Karasinski was single? 🤪
Nick's like "so the elephant in the room" and I'm like "are you single" aaaaand didn't do it. Then when he's like since everybody's going to ask aaaaand didn't do it. YOU LET US DOWN NICK!
Yep
Asking for a friend
Didn’t see a ring on that finger...that’s all I’m gonna say
She is taken
12:54 shout out to CHP, for protecting my community of Paradise during the devastating #campfire you guys knocked it out of the park helping evacuate the town, hats off to you guys!!!
Michael Gregorio I couldn’t agree more. All agencies involved did AMAZING!! Makes me incredibly proud to be from the North Valley!
Campfire was hella scary smh it destroyed paradise we was scared even in yuba city
I wanted to hear the bike siren...
Me to xd
It’s like the CHP siren but higher pitched
This one deserves a like even before watching!! Going to be a good one.
Just an FYI these vehicle shown are just a small portion of the fleet
Most of these officers I have meet and they are cool. They are part of southern division and are in charge of recruitment.
raul maravilla good to know; I have my physical on the 25th
@@chrisoberg6888 You and I both. See you there!
The officers who dont have to deal with traumatizing things are nicer. I dont blame mean officers for the way they act they witness alot
@@chrisoberg6888
Best of luck!
@@Zaltic
Hard to unsee the things that they have to deal with. In my life I have dealt with a lot of law enforcement officials and I would rather deal with either the State Police or Highway Patrol. That said as far as the local police departments go detectives and those in the command level are usually the better ones to deal with than the bitter patrolman who's been passed over for the promotions and are just marking the days until retirement.
The TV show CHIPS didn’t use Harley Davidson. They used Kawasaki KZ900-C2 and KZ1000-C1
I might be biased here but, C.H.P. has the best looking Highway Patrol vehicles of all the states I have seen so far. I remember when I was a kid they had the 5.0 Mustang and Z28 which were bad ass.
I bet "Rick green" gives out lots of tickets
He’s incorrect when he said about the old tv show. John and ponch ride Kawasaki KZ1000-C1 not Harley’s
CHIP'S did NOT use Harley Davidson's, they rode Kawasaki's. You would think a CHP Motor Officer would know that.
Exactly i was going to write it.
They also still use Kawasakis
Also the interviewer should have corrected him. Everybody knows that Jon and Ponch rode Kawasaki.
He didn't give the big chick bike cop the time of day. Lol
I think they used Kawasaki on CHiPs
Shout out to CHP...haven't been pulled over since 1993...by a CHP Mustang! Much Respect
Question for Rambo, I hope he is checking the comments! If a CHP officer has their Ham radio license, are they allowed to install a ham radio in their patrol vehicle?
Back in 2000's. A Border unit had a 2M HT with him on patrol. He used a MAG mount antenna, Speaker-Mic and the Cigarette Lighter for power.
They would not be able to instal a radio in the vehicle hardwired.
Ayyyy there’s my man. I knew you’d be in the comments 😂 It would probably have to be an HT or mobile with a low enough current draw for a cigarette lighter.
NICK!!! We need Miami Police Department Vlogs again......Where have they been!!!!
@Aiden mmm you mean he is a trainer?
And I thought my town’s police fleet was cool-looking..
This is not a town or city police fleet, its the whole state of California's.
Watching from the Philippines!!
#NODSQUADPhilippines
I LOVE that the CHP still use the PR24 baton when the "tactical" expanding batons have become so prevalent in policing. The PR24 is a far superior less-lethal tool, due in part to it's versatility. I've blocked (in the field) a baseball swing with a 2x4 with a PR. Try THAT with an expandable!
The side handle batons are gone on the dept, all expandable now.

I was looking for the comment before I posted. LOL.
Exactly. Kawasaki KZ900 and KZ1000.
You need to do Arkansas State Police department and Tennessee Highway Patrol! 🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚓👮👮♂️
CHIP'S made part of my childhood
21:30 something we weren’t supposed to see!
Turbo Easter 🐣’s
What's the car in the background at 21:43 ?
TV show CHiPs used Kawi KZ 900 and 1000's. In one episode "The Matchmakers" one harley was ridden.
Came here to say that, that part bugged the hell out of me haha
Thank You... 👍💯🎅
That's correct
Where is the K-9 unit? Also Nick you should hit some hospitals and check out their units.
Great video! I was going to clarify that Kawasaki KZ series were used in the CHiPS show, not Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Not surprisingly, that was previously pointed out by others. I had the privilege of riding the Kawasaki KZ1000, the BMW, and the Harley-Davidson. Although I truly enjoyed the comfort of the HD, I would have to say that the Kawasaki was the best, all-around police motorcycle, in my humble opinion. Cheers! Retired SJPD / former Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) motors.
Those Kawasakis were superb motorcycles.
Heck Yeah The Best Of The Best Troopers! Also My Home State!
Super cool! Happy to see the CHP is so well equipped! Thanks for sharing and really nice to see how open the CHP was to show us!
CHP best Department out there!!!
Yup! Want to join these guys
Next video should be ORANGE COUNTY SWAT !!!
I's love to know if anyone's ever done a traffic stop in the MC3. That would be something to see!
Where are the crown victorias, I believe every police vehicle out of service should be donated to car museums instead of putting them in the scrap yard
Absolutely. Out of the 1,563 great 1969 Dodge Polaras bought by the CHP there's only about 13 known in existence. The '69 Polara was the best CHP car ever. A true legend.
Got decommissioned at that time
*TAN Uniform* - regular officer.
*BLUE Uniform* - extra qualifications.
All blue now no more tan

Where did you get your info?
Just today I observed couple units in TAN. Plus here is a video from a week ago:

Incorrect. Most officers have both. They also weren’t wearing their tans during covid due to the dry cleaning requirements
@@phenry5083, I don't know what are your sources, but I was at CHP HQ when this specific topic was discussed.
Plus I see them every day across the state, due to the nature of my business.
Hey Nick I’m a Big Fan!!! My name is Johny Atthelus, I had a question in regards to being excepted into the police academy. I’ve started and still have a on going case pending to become a US Citizen. Does my case have to be completed entirely before having any shot at getting excepted into the academy?
Nick do LAPD, I live in Los Angeles so you might find me lol.
Officer Karasinki is GORGEOUS!
YASSSS
Damn, those are some cool cars!!
At 6:30, did that moron really say they rode Harley-Davidsons in CHiPs? At his age it should be common knowledge that they were Kawasakis, let alone in his job. All of that aside, he must have really done lot of preparing before coming in for the interview. His court appearances must be a real gem. The worst part is the interviewer, the motor vehicle expert, allowed it to make the final cut. I hope that was a jab at the guy, and not ignorance or carelessness. It doesn't bode well for a channel that claims to support motor vehicle history and fact.
They do use Harley Davidson's too
@@DowntownDeuce2 Why do you have to be such an a$$hole, it's only a show
@@MrOlliethebest Who's being an asshole? I'm not the one who missed out on all the facts and content of the video, decided to incorrect someone else without knowing what was going on, and act like an authority on a matter I know nothing about. That was the clown in the video and you two clowns in the comments.
If you like, I will concede that I'm an asshole, when you two concede that you were mouthing off on a topic that you think you know everything about. No wonder you sympathize with the cop that got it wrong, all three of you are immature kids pretending to be something you're not. Credibility in our legal system may not mean anything to you, but it means a lot to the rest of the country. An adult's world goes beyond video games and Pokemon cards. That moron incorrectly quotes history, and you morons are going to swallow it like tripe and accept it as fact.
Your buddy in the comments tells me that they use Harley-Davidsons, right after the video shows a bunch of cops standing around a 2018 Harley Davidson. No shit? Did he think we all get different videos? How dumb can you be? The only thing worse is you defending him; it definitely catapulted you into first place for the dipshit award. Stick to Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, or whatever undeveloped minds do today. The real world is going to eat you up, son. Your move. You made an ass of yourself, but THAT'S OK.
@@MrOlliethebest It's no wonder you sympathize with the cop. Neither one of you can stick to the script, or refrain from commenting on things you don't know about.
@@DowntownDeuce2 Well sorry for hurting your feelings. But I don't know anything about the show, neither did I say about what bike they used, all I said was that you didn't need to be so rude to people. But I really don't see how any of this has anything to do with the legal system, please explain... I just don't see why you're getting so defensive and overreacting about a little mistake. After reading what you said I guess it's easy to say you don't make mistakes and that anyone that does make a mistake is a moron and a child. I also don't see where I was pretending to be something I'm not so please fill me in. But hey, I guess I'll stick to playing with Pokemon cards and video games, because obviously I know nothing about the real world.

What’s going on with the Miami PD Vlogs Nick ? Hope everything is good .. Keep up the awesome work.
They should of a brought out a ghost 👻 charger.
I’m pretty sure that’s not normal for CHP, maybe polar bear, ghosts aren’t rlly a thing
Can't wait till Police in my country will have squads like this.
Dude you need to ask the CHP how they operate their light bar it is the most confusing lightbar panel/control I have ever seen
Well explain it then if it's so simple explain the buttons 1 through 6

Chip’s rode in Kawasaki bikes not Harleys. Wow! Talk about not knowing your facts...
@NickOFFDuty next time you visit Rambo, see if they will let you wear a CHP uniform and all the gear.
WRONG about the t.v. show chips they rode Kawasaki NOT Harley Davidson
Nice hat on that Tahoe.
How is a CHP motor officer unaware that Kawasaki's were used on CHiPS and not Harley Davidsons?

They rode Kawasaki 's on the TV show "CHiPs" ... NOT HARLEY'S....
at least not on the show that is...
Do a Georgia State Patrol or Georgia LEO one.
Oh man a pr-24 you don't seem many agencies using them anymore!

You should go to Ohio state Highway patrol
Do LAPD.
Next u should do Alabama state troopers

I wear a pair Haix boots at the job (EMS) as well
Great presentation of all the different vehicles. Interesting that they have different vehicles for e.g. higher speed or terrain usage ... here the Bavarian State Police runs some few different cars, but basically you can see any car anywhere: station wagons, compact SUV and vans are used in an urban and rural environment, highway patrol as well as in the mountains
Do WSP Washington State Patrol please
HE SAID BACK IN THE DAY, THEY USED HARLEY'S. I KNOW FOR A FACT THEY USED KAWASAKI 1200 CC ROAD BIKES. NOT HARLEY'S
