Great video!! I love my 2021 edition, had no issues but I'm not an extreme basher by any stretch of the imagination..! The scenery on your videos look just like they were filmed here in England! So similar 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great review as always. I have this truck and I love it! You're 100% right on the servo saver spring, we found an alternative spring, all details captured in the Corally Forum.
Sorry for my late response to this video, busy life lol Great video and really liked how you presented it 👍 yes the fan base is growing, as for example my FB group is soon hitting 3k members :) We now see after market manufacturers getting their eyes opened to Corally. We ask and corally listens, and at the end we get what we want, not what they like us to have 👍 I would go 1000cst front 900 rear for harder bashing, especially with the new pistons. All the best Per Team corally bashers
I think that's the hardest you have every bashed! I'm surprised that you didn't take a temp gun when testing something new. I've learned that they hard way several times now with blown motors and ESCS 🤣. Great video as usual bud! BTW, my Hobbywing motors can take much more abuse when doing off road stuff. The Castle motors and ESCS are way better for on road bashing and speed runs. My experience. I blew two 1717 motors from Castle while doing crazy off road stuff. The same motor size from HW had no issues with the same terrain, driving and vehicle and gearing (the 4985 1650KV motor). But you were running a sensored set up, so I you could have set the ESC to cut off the motor if it got too hot. So yeah, I've done that too (not set up correctly) 🤣
I think the servo saver is a tad too soft as well. I'm using a 45kg / 0.08s/60° AGF A81BHMW servo. The saver is giving up waaay before the servo is remotely close to stalling. There is some adjustment to firm it up some - but it's not enough IMO. The saver supplied is specced for the RTR servos I reckon.
Weird. Don't remember Team Corally making an airplane lol. Does the Mamba Monster X not have thermal shutdown for the motor or did you not enable it in Castle Link? I know the Copperhead 10 does but you have to enable it manually.
I saw that Rings End Lumber painted on the berm. I got two of their tshirts in 2003 when I was stationed in Groton. They sponsored some MTB trail building at Bluff Point State Park.
Man i salute you in getting the Futaba Radio for the Kronos, i've been using Futaba Radios in most of my RC, Airtronics is the 2nd, ( i don't know if Airtronics still exist)
Great video. I like how you have some reserve on few bad landings. I liked that you mention it will need tuning to your preference. Great rig, nice review
To me the engineering goes to Team Corally . I feel a lot of Brands power plants are just enough. The Kronos sounds like it has some extra grunt in it. Put some Dboot backflips or proline tires on.
Man 😫 I just bought this , what a pain in the backside it is to get the centre Diff out . How do you get the roll cage off, and the bars are in the way too. It’s a nice thing but man so Complex
Standard out off the Box, there are no diff oils in it the motor is way to fast for 6s, it needs truggy tires and a decent servo I bought a 95 euro savox, also the radio is not my thing, so I build in the traxxas one from my bandit vxl.
The car itself is pretty ok, little bit arrma copy. Sadly they have used poor material, few jumps and the bracket to the right frontshock broke. One little bump and one of the turnbuckles bent. Rear diff empty of diffoil. There is potential in the car yes, but they can do better. 6s is little bit over the top, on 4s the car is really fun.
Didn’t know about that place. Do you know any good times to go. It’ll take me over an hour to get there. I’m down by Danbury. Wouldn’t want to waste a trip showing up to a packed park.
@@rcdriver i've only been there once, its a pretty large park besides the skate park, i'd say somewhere solidly within school hours would be best, ill keep an ear out for closer stuff
Insane bashing with an absolut great car. Is there a reason to choose castle mamba combo over the Max6 combo? Compared to the sledge how is the handling in the air and on the ground?
I’m a Castle fan which is why I turn to them primarily for my basher electronics. As for the difference between the two. The Corally seems a bit more responsive and the Sledge feels more solid. If that makes sense lol.
Man, brand new castle setup smoked.... check the temps halfway thru the run? Things happen sometimes but I'm kinda surprised... Didn't seem like the gearing was that far off, but hard to tell on video. I have the same 2200kv 1515, and a monster x esc in a slash 4x4, and it got hot when it was over geared. Still some sweet bashing man. Fun while it lasted
The Castle 1717 (1650kv) motor is rated 180 degrees Fahrenheit max, and the Hobbywing 4985 (1650kv) motor is rated 212 degrees Fahrenheit max. They each have there purpose and are both great motors!
This 1/8 scale needs allot of tuning I drive it with a 1650kv motor and 100000 oil in the center diff 10000 in front and back, damper 600 front 37.5 rear and a 12t pinion.
You can smoke a motor in any rig if you're having too much fun! It's not a reflection of the XTR's strengths or weaknesses tbh, as it's supplied as a roller.
I've never understood the 'looks like an Arrma clone' comments. Truggies with big wheels have been around since the early 00's, and Arrma are far from the first to produce them. Even if we ignore the lineage for a moment, the Kronos/Kraton - XTR/EXB are significantly different from each other. Each has their own pros/cons. I really like both. 👍
I love both. Nitro Truggy and Buggy classes make for the best races to watch, with pitstops etc. But from a driving perspective - especially away from a track, blasting around large open areas - nitro are 4hp on 6S. My Nitro Xray XT8 is a scalpel. My Kronos XTR is a hammer. Summary: horses for courses. The XTR on 6S is stark raving bonkers - far from boring! 🤣
Got 1 of these a while back and the front wheel has come off twice whilst bashing and it's cooked a lipo battery, it's also lost the bolt from the servo and bust a tyre. Not to mention bolts on the under chassis were also loose in no time Spent almost £700 on this. Even tho i have enjoyed using it i'm NOT happy regarding the quality
10:46. I’ve never seen a more perfect jump in my life 😮🤯👍🏻

I've been holding on getting a new basher, but after seeing this Kronos exb, it's a no brainer... thanks for the video Greg 👍
The Mercedes of stunt trucks 🚚 👌 the layout looks like a racer much more than the arrma.
Corally have come along way with the Kronos 2022! Great video 📹
I’m really liking their rigs! Great vid
Loved the video dude! That’s an EPIC car! Like the arrma EXB’s!
Great review with loads of information. That scenery is like the windows 11 background, really beautiful.
nice review and honest comments

Nice video Greg. Another car to add to the collection sometime.
Great video. I agree with the servo saver too soft. An update from corally is NEEDED. I own the punisher (almost full option 7075) and radix 4.

It does but it only works with castle motors and has to have the sensor cable connected.
@@klappars He did use a castle motor at the start. Unless I misheard

How are you liking the servo. Just picked up 2 of them. Does the speed feel fast enough. I haven't tried them yet
Wow that thing can fly 👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome video bro great content love team Corally!!
That just floats over your new favorite jump
Nice bash Greg, is any other aftermarket body on that Kronos?
I really like their Punisher body which drops right on. But I haven’t tried anything aftermarket yet. Sorry.
Hello. I have that roller and 3 other Corally cars. Awesome builds!!!
All those aluminum bits are really nice I like what I see
Im not super happy with my punisher. The E-revo is a much tougher truck. That xtr looks pretty solid though.
awesome rc and bashing,great overview

Are the shocks the same size as arrma And are those Springs heavier than the kraton
Nice video as always 🙂👍
Just saw this roller for 430 at Shop in Jersey
A heavier center diff oil Will make it pull wheelies more, not less.
