Materials- two 6m lengths of 150mm pvc pipe, 8 caps, 8 brackets, 4 45 degree joiners, piece of marine ply 12mm thick (2.4m x 1.2m), 16 screws and two pieces of pine.

I worked in a boat factory, pure fiber-glass , i advice you to fill the pipes with floating foam made with 2 halves of chemicals, it exerts much more floatability as boat denies to sink hah!

id add a removable out rigger beam going out 1 meter on each side with more of that pvc pipe for stability and a milk crate with a flip top swivel chair for comfort and gear storage. wile your at it a fish finder and a radio lol

very interesting. I built a similar boat 15 years ago (video on my channel). this is a much simpler version.

So i started watching you because i was looking at building a lil pond runner. Got a bit addicted to watching your vids, but now i'm interested what would you change about the boat. One thing i see is connecting the front end of the pvc together so they don't spin, and how well are the parts hanging in i can see you have changed out the wood at least once from the missing spray paint. keep it up you got a great channel.

Hi mate, I just built one of these and I’m looking at electric motor for it...is there a couple of motors you’d suggest? Based on weight, power, ease of control, etc that’d be great (i.e. is a Minn Kota Maxxum 80lb too much?) Btw love your channel, went through it all and can’t wait for your next vid!

hey mate i don't have a close up but i have on a water snake 54lb foot and remote control bow mount motor. i just use the jarvis walker quick release mount to put the motor on the front
Just get a 55 gallon plastic barrel and nail a board on the front and the back, then add an empty milk jug on the ends

Do you know what your buoyancy would be using the PVC pipe and what your water displacement is like when fully loaded?
What is the total length and width of the boat?

know idea about buoyancy or displacement never bothered to work it out. it is 3 metres in length and 1.2m wide
Just from the displacement of the pvc pipes it is about 280kg of bouyancy
Thanks mate for the response, I noticed in a few of your other videos that it does run low in the water at points and you seem to be quite a light build bloke, do you ever have any issues being swamped?
all the time thats why i didn't put sides on it. water can just run straight off. rather then filling up haha

Looks like a very simple design, easy to assemble and easy to find materials. Great job. Perhaps if next time you move the camera closer to what you are doing it would be easier to see what you're doing. I really wasn't interested in seeing half of your garage and half of the neighborhood.... Just you and the boat!! Thanks.

If I built that I would have done pressurized tubing so a can raise and lower the buoyancy.
How far apart are the pvc from eachother?
If I was you I'd fill those gaps inbetween the PVC with foam or something, and then encase the whole thing in plywood so it's smooth and then primer and paint it so it's water resistant. I'd also put a lip around the whole thing so water can't just splash over the sides. Right now it's more like a massive paddle board then a boat.
good on you retz. go and build your own. if i put everything i want in a boat on my raft i wouldn't be able to transport it around the gold coast and make videos. if the battery isn't charged sometimes i just take the paddle. so i am happy with my diy paddle board
Fishing With Timmy Turtle Adding the plywood and foam would add an extra 10-15kg if that, wouldn't be that much heavier.
Retz it's already 50-60kg try lifting that on and off your roof then add the extra weight see how you go. Good luck let me know how you go

75-85kg is not heavy for one person if its in the form of a barbell. however when it is the size that it is its very difficult
how stable is the raft??, Have you thought of making a video showing how sable or not stable it is??? :)
I have made 62 videos on the raft if you watch some you will get a sense of ho stable it is. I have never fallen off but your feet get wet

Timmy how much dose it weigh and is it easy for you to lift on and off your roof racks by your self? Cheers
50-60kg. its pretty tough to do by yourself and not scratch the car up doing it. but I bought a cheap car so just slide it up. every now and then is ok but every day is torture

niiiiice. all i could find was that the motor has to be no more than 3kw, so that will be easy. what size motor do you use, and do you get a decent bit of speed from it, being that the craft would be fairly light?
it weighs about 60kg already had one bloke build it and can't lift it haha. maybe 7-10km/h tops I use 54lb

you mean buoyancy? you would just use the buoyancy formula. but i did no such thing haha. i juster winged it and hoped she floats
