Thanks Adam, I dont have a Jag but i do have a 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith and enjoy your channels content . Classic cars no matter what are great to play witb.
Thx for the information. I have a 91 xjs and the info is truly invaluable for such a vehicle. Difficult to find a mechanic who is knowledgeable about these cars.
Hi Adam Just used your video to bleed my new Barn find. "Natasha" that also has a Teves system. Did a search and your video came up number 1. Made a mess of it first time using a sucker on the nipples. It pull out the old fluid but left the system full of air. Ended up being a big job. At least the accumulator and motor are working. Thank you very helpful! TJM
Very useful video for XJS owners! My XJ40 needs a rear right wheel bearing replacement. I did the left side a few weeks ago. Then, I'll use it a little more until the Halloween and it will go to sleep for the canadian winter.
Hello Adam, good information on how to bleed the brakes.... I am from Argentina and they are not very common cars in this area.... I have a question for you, the brake damage on my xj-s is totally hard, could you guide me? could be?
My reservoir went dry, didn’t realize I had a leaking rear caliper when parked up and all the fluid left the system, what’s the process for bleeding the low pressure side? Thanks in advance!
Hi there. This year I resurrected my 94 XJS which had been laid up since 2017 with rotted floors. It is now up and running and I’m paying more attention to the details. When starting up the two brake warning lights come on and then go off as you describe. However, they also come on when applying the brakes. Is this normal? Thanks for this great video.
No, not a good idea as the pump provides more than enough pressure to force the fluid down the brake lines and a pressure bleeder will probably blow the low pressure line between the reservoir and the pump and spray brake fluid over the rear of the engine compartment, not good!!
My lovely assistant will only bleed my brakes on a Tuesday because she knows that we are going out for dinner anyway on a Saturday, she makes the reservation.
Hey Adam, Do you know anything about the teves mk iv-gi I got a message from someone saying this... 96 XJS Celebration 4.0 I was driving it was great until all of a sudden the brake pedal went down than was ok again and than went down like it lost it’s pressure. I smelled a slight burning smell but didn’t see any leaks
You’re lucky to have such a nice assistant! Good to see team work in the garage!
Yes I am lucky
Thanks Adam,

Thanks Janet! I agree that all classics are great to work on. I watch a lot of channels that feature cars I don't own. Enjoy your RR!

Useful to know. My beautiful assistant asked me when could she help to bleed the brakes? She must be getting hungry !
Time to go out to dinner then 😀

Maybe a quick video on how to flush the brake fluid on the Teves brake system. Want to do my 1995 XJS....keep up the great instructional videos...
Thank you! It’s the same procedure as bleeding them really just that you continue and swap the fluid.

Winter is coming here soon too. My XJ40 will hopefully be getting a lot of little things fixed this winter so it's ready for spring again.
Great video Adam. Enjoy that steak and lobster dinner. Lol.
Thanks Jeff I will!
Haha, first time I heard you talking swedish. Nice vid, thank you!
It's my secret power you know

Have you done a clip on the issue of not having brake pressure on the front only?
Nice job, from you and your lovely assistant!
I was hoping for a test drive to see that your work was done correctly. Maybe next time!
We were short on time, it was just my lunch break but another time. I hope to get a few more drives with this car before winter sets it.
@@LivingWithAClassic I do hope so, this is such a gorgeous vehicle!
Again thanks for the information
Thanks for watching!

Great video Adam . Peace and love to you and the family. 👍🏻☮❤
Thanks!
Many thanks, like so many things, easy when you know how, I did not, but I do now.
Have you ever replced the accumulator. I can't get the one on my 89 off
Sadly I haven’t yet.
Very cool content! Thanks for the video, looks fairly easy to do!
Glad you liked it! It's pretty easy once you know how to do it. The rears are really a breeze to bleed with the help of the ABS pump
@@LivingWithAClassic more than I can say for Ford's ABS system, you have to use a scanner tool to auto bleed those electronically!
Can you use a pressure bleeder like the motive power bleeder?
No, not a good idea as the pump provides more than enough pressure to force the fluid down the brake lines and a pressure bleeder will probably blow the low pressure line between the reservoir and the pump and spray brake fluid over the rear of the engine compartment, not good!!
I would not use one of them on this system

I hope she picks a nice place to eat

Nice job and a good informative video …..
Thank you!
Hope you buy your wife’s nice dinner she deserves it Adam
I will 😀
Be kind go veggie Adam, meat is murder. I love your instructional videos btw.
Hello, I currently own a 1991 Jaguar XJS V12 and am needing to replace the right rear caliper what should I expect to pay for that job?
Very hard to say. If it is stuck at all it will be faster to remove the whole IRS for that job. So it could take 2 hours or maybe 6, hard to say.
