- A member of the “diyan lang ako” gang had his motorcycle impounded, after initially being stopped for riding without a crash helmet.
There’s already enough risks with riding a motorcycle. Whether you’re going near or far, wear the right gear, to protect yourself and reduce your injuries in the case of an accident.
I stole the “diyan lang ako” gang joke from the leader of the clearing team - Edison Bong Nebrija
What do you think? Should the whole video have English captions? Or only the parts that were translated from Tagalog?
keep the english captions for the foreign audience
Captions needed 💯
Personally.... Keeping the English captions for the whole video is good for me. I have a poor hearing so I'm just reading the captions.
keep the ernglish caption for the whole video please :D
Keep English pls.
Now is the perfect time to ramp up those fines. Not to profit on our kababayan, but to discourage them to commit those basic violations, violations that they should have been aware of in the first place when they had their license. If not by fixer. As a citizen of this country, I am tired hearing that repeated violations that those same violators commit almost everyday.
I think they should make the penalty for illegal parking increase for succeeding apprehensions.
To make it unaffordable for repeat violators.
Some other penalties already increase for the second and third apprehension. So why not do the same for illegal parking? 🤷♂️
@@GadgetAddict agree and pls make fines on government vehicles higher too. Plus the Brgy should be penalized 10% of total fines incurred during the operation para naman iba na atupagin ng mmda din.
Imagine Bong Nebrija doing more important things than just "clearing roads".. it'll be very exciting to witness pero we need to "move on" already from doing the same shit different day with this temporary band aid solution.
@@GadgetAddict hey Gadget Addict. Good to see on Dr Dave channel the other day . . Do you have problems where you are like the USA with fools walking round with cameras causing trouble ? I've watched a couple of your vids now and happy you post these videos .
Agree. Saka mas maganda kung lagi sila nahuhuli. Certainty of punishment ang greatest deterrent hindi un mismong punishment.
So sad that the main cause of traffic congestions in the Philippines are Filipinos themselves. Most are good at complaining but when it’s time for discipline and compliance we suck big time. Thanks Gadget Addict for showing us this reality. It’s been years and it’s seems Pinoys are not changing their ways.
Yep, the Filipinos are too smart for their own good.
Anddddddd... They'll blame the government for all their short comings .. typical.
That is why the Filipinos need to have authoritarian rule like in Singapore and China. South Korea used to have authoritarian rule until 1998, Taiwan had authoritarian rule until 1995, and Japan was ruled by Military Dictators aka the Shogunate for hundreds of years. Filipinos need very harsh punishment.
Well said
Good job po MMDA team, keep it up!!!
Right on cue sir. As the lady was walking on the sidewalk with the car parked blocking the way, that bicycle could've hit her because she can't pass the sidewalk.
I hope you can also feature brgy govt officials that were filed cases by the mmda for not doing their job of maintaining their area.... updates
Nakakarelax manood grabe, thanks MMDA
Hayaan u na matigas ulo nila..lambot kapag nagulongan na hehe
Great job to the MMDA, Bong, & GA for keeping us foreigners informed that the Philippines is making a change. Increase fine by Php500.
Bayad kayo ngayon mga pasaway. Hehehe.
More power MMDA & Gadget Addict!
Para san ang sapatos pag mag drive?
1:32 this boggles my mind too. Going into the road without even looking first 🙄
It's extremely common. That's why we really see a lot of pedestrians being hit by passing vehicles, after entering the road because the sidewalk was blocked.
I cant blame the lady either, some people dont know if they will look for the road or not, our brain isnt also ready for this kind of situation
Hi sir can you help us here at san miguel road pasong tamo people here always park on the road night and day. Just the other night a fire broke they (some say people died )and fire trucks are obstructed brcause of the private vehicles even puv not using their car park. They have parking spaces but not using them. And i hear brgay warns some of their friends when mmda comes.
Problems with Manila Roads:
1. Parking in No Parking areas.
2. People walking on the rightmost lane, so 2-lane roads effectively becomes a 1-lane road.
3. Inefficient public utility vehicles. Tricycles/padyak sidecars should really only be reserved for inner roads/back alleys.
4. People crossing the road anywhere. Studies shown how much disturbance a small tap of the brake can have on a continuously flowing traffic. It's called phantom traffic jams.
5. Illegal terminals where jeepneys/buses essentially wait on a green light for passengers and only move just before it turns red.
6. Businesses/Residents claiming the road as part of their property.
Most of these are actually violations that can be enforced by the Barangay, but they don't.
How do you report those who are illegally park?
DLA!!! Haha! Diyan Lang Ako gang... too funny.
DILAG. DIyan Lang Ako Gang.
I love watching your videos for breakfast. More power to you.
Salamat Po Sa Pag Upload !!!
This is a good bloggers speaking English that what I want and heard because it is show around the world.
Violators: "Ok, see you again tommorow" :)
People want change and hate corruption but cannot follow the law. 1st part of the video is an example.
It would be nice to see the cars that were towed and brought to Tamana Marikina. With so much cars and trucks being towed everyday that place must be incredibly full. Can you also make a video about that?
Most of the vehicles get claimed back on the same day, or next day.
But still, there is a lot of junk / abandoned vehicles sitting in Tumana.
In fact they actually suspended towing for a few days (except for unlicensed drivers) because they're focussing on reorganizing the impound lot.
I've made a video before, but I'll try to make an updated one soon.
We can agree that parking on the sidewalk is one of the main problem. When will the no garage no car policy will take action? That's the only solution to avoid this kind of problem. It's unfair to other people who give up some of there lot for the garage but some people just park everywhere.
Gadget,do they do this everyday around Manila?
Yes
This team operate 6 days a week, with multiple operations per day. Throughout Metro Manila.
@@GadgetAddict and there are other teams, right? how many teams in total? thanks!
1:30 perfect example why vehicles shouldn't park on the sidewalk
where is this?
Different parts of Quezon City, Philippines
I'll try to remember to put the street signs on the videos again.
Sorry about that.
@@GadgetAddict no worries.. thanks!
we really need a compressor for compressing vehicles like what theyre doing abroad. it just become a cube of metal
Ganda ng helmet Spyder, ganda ng motor. Kaso ayon tekamots. HAHAHHA
That's the problem.. he already has a nice helmet, but he just doesn't want to wear it 🤦♂️
@@GadgetAddict Mainit daw kasi. Once you remove that helmet you will cooldown naman. Some people just like to gamble their lives just for the sake of a little comfort.
Edit: I have been in 3 motorcycle accidents (all not my fault) and my helmet hit the pavement pretty hard all the time. Saved me so many times. Kahit ung shoes. It keeps your toes from getting injured or at the very least where they should be.
The penalty is too cheap. Make it 10k for illegal parking for 1st violation and 25k the 2nd time. And 5k for not bringing the licensed. And 15k for no licensed.
Happy holloween 💀
Ganda ng motor nyo tus d kayo maka afford ng lisensya, ako nga walang motor may student permit from LTO panga ako eh.🙄
In other countries, driving without a license gets you arrested. Maybe that's what the Philippines should do. To force people to follow the law.
Great job Mmda. 😊
Im sorry but LTO should ban driver's licenese who park on the side walk like that... 1:35 perfect example how accidents can happen... and the lady didnt even look back at all... OMG
keep up the good work man.
The van has a written ambulance on the back but funeral on the front 😂
Cutting out the middle man
People really need to learn how to do low profile when they're doing something illegal. If you don't have a license, at least put on your helmet and shoes. Same with car drivers without license: wear seatbelt, drive and park properly.
Exactly.
NEED MORE MMDA,
NEED MORE CLEARING OPS.

I'm a cyclist too but I just realized that when I'm walking and there's a car in the sidewalk, I also don't look behind me if there's a bicycle coming.
And the reality is, it's not only bicycles in the bicycle lane. There's often motorcycles and sometimes even cars or jeeps.
Sana sa bagong barrio Naman..😁
the city needs to place road makers like the yellow solid line so it indicates two way roads and signs that are uniform without advertisements
The DPWH road standards actually prohibits putting ads on road signs.
But of course some barangays do it because.. well you know why.
On the other hand, many of the signs are actually unauthorized, even if they're using the logos of government agencies and departments.
If you follow the account of the head of MMDA SCOG on Facebook, you'll see his men are regularly removing traffic signs that include hotel ads, and he describes them as ILLEGAL SIGNS.
No need to look for the driver once violated the city ordinance, law must apply immediately either impound and tow away 😅 rig up your tow bar.
sana al over the counrty must be implemented by this law, not only in luzon.
Listen to Col Bong. Kapatid ko nagpagupit lang. Died due to self accident and he was not wearing helmet.
I just wish they could understand that it's really for their own safety.
Aside from that, they need to consider any innocent motorist that might be involved in an accident with them.
If they're not wearing a helmet, they're more likely to die. What happens if they die? The other driver will be arrested for reckless imprudence resulting in death 🤷♂️
The same excuse every time. "Bibili lang diyan" These ticketed riders just don't care about the rules.
Great job
Abused of public places, no road respect, wala din respeto sa pedestrian or kapwa tao..this people are numb.or playing dumb...goooooood morning everyone, back to road again w/the pass away, oh, I mean pasaway Pala,..
That's the thing, too many people treat the public road or sidewalk as if it's an extension of their home.
Iam the one who get tired watching the heavy work of personnel clearing our roads. Big question is, will the time comes that we see our road wide and clean again?
It depends..
I've seen the mmda return to areas that they've previously cleared.
Often what you'll see is that the vehicles that were previously towed, are now parked in a paid parking lot.
The vehicles that only got ticketed, are often in the road again.
Why?
Because the ticket is only P1000. And they know the MMDA have too many streets to clear, meaning they can't return to the same place often.
Even if they get two tickets a month, it's cheaper than paid parking.
But those who got towed, paid a LOT more, plus they wasted half a day to.get the vehicle back.
That's why towing always proved to be a more effective deterrent (aside from also immediately clearing the road)
If we really want to see a HUGE improvement, the MMDA should make the penalty increase for repeat violators. Instead of keeping it fixed at P1000.
OR the DILG should force barangay traffic enforcers to actually start issuing tickets, even if it's their own constituents.
1st offense 10k, 2nd offense 20k, 3rd offense 50k
how can we file a complain for a tree in front of our driveway? It is a potential firehazard because it's branches and leaves are reaching the power lines. Also, it also obstruct our main door.
I'm not sure who would be responsible for that. Probably it would be with your City admin, rather than the MMDA.
Removing trees can sometimes be difficult, because of DENR requirements.
Although saying that, it seems like many malls, illegal loggers and other commercial properties don't seem to have any problem removing lots of trees 🙄
No license? No shoes? No registration? No problemo! No helmet? Pretty soon, no life😂
"Same old song, same old stupid"
GA been saying, why baranggay isnt telling people this, why baranggay isnt fixing this?
do we have a baranggay? what baranggay?
Daming dahilan hule kana 😁
If I were president, I'd allocate a larger budget for the MMDA and expand the division to tens of thousands of officers... Rewrite some laws to get the message across not to F around.
Unfortunately the MMDAs requested budget was decreased during the budget hearings.
I guess it's hard when there's only a certain amount of money, and it needs to be spread between so many different agencies or departments.
Hopefully the DILG can push the Barangays to be more active. There are Barangay traffic enforcers. But when is the last time you saw them issue a ticket here in Metro Manila? 🤷♂️
I wonder what's the permanent solution for this repetitive problem?
House Bill 31 would help with illegal parking, since it will require people to have a parking space before they can buy or register a vehicle.
MMDA should also increase the penalty for illegal parking, for repeat violators. Instead of keeping it fixed at P1000. For many people, it's cheaper to pay a couple of MMDA tickets each month, instead of paying for parking or building a garage.
For the riders - more education is needed, to make them understand why these rules are being enforced.
Too many riders have this mindset of "we're just being bullied because we're small". And actually some people are guilty of promoting that mindset, making riders more bold to break the rules of the road.
The riders need to understand that things like helmets and shoes are required for their OWN safety.
They also need to understand what can happen to innocent drivers that might be involved in an accident with a rider who's not wearing a helmet. If the rider dies, the other driver is likely to be arrested for reckless imprudence.
The ticket is to serve as a deterrent, to prevent them doing the same thing every day. But right now, a lot of riders just don't understand.
Some motorists simply don't care or don't understand or refuse to understand. So pathetic...
Mgandang laging my operation pra mdaming kitahin ang gobyerno
Increase the penalties so they can learn their lessons.
make it a death penalty
Tama.
You don't blame her... yes but the carelessness is amazing, whenever you step off the sidewalk no matter what it calls for pedestrian attentiveness, situation awareness.
You're right, she would have some responsibility, for not checking the road before entering it.
That is a fair point and something I considered also.
What I was trying to convey is that primarily, the fault is on the vehicle that parked on the sidewalk, forcing her into the road.
@@GadgetAddict indeed the parked vehicle, gotcha GA.
Keep these vids coming.
dami violation ng rider ah dapat nakakagay din sa ticket yun, wearing slippers, no helmet, illegal parking, no tshirt, tapos mukhang edadrive nlng baata motor nya, tinatawanan lng kayo ng mga taong yan
The problem is that is has been so long that this drivers n riders r so use to parking anywhere along the street because the MMDA did not do anything before. This kind of operation has to be consistent on a everyday basis inorder to change this pple behaviour.
Raise the fines. These people will never learn. And for multiple violation per month should be suspended license and looooonngggg seminars lol
and make them take TDC every ticket
It appears that the entire city is a private parking lot. Motorists park their vehicles wherever and whenever they want. So sad. Really sad.
That's why the roads feel so small and narrow. Because both sides are blocked by parked vehicles and then the sidewalks are full of stalls, extensions of houses etc.
It's like there's really no respect for public places.
No wonder the traffic is so bad 🤷♂️
Ghe mangatwiran ka pa🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Asus!Dito sa tapat ng New World Laboratory sa D.Tuazon Brgy Maharlika Q.C,kabilaan Ang mga sign board ng NO PARKING pero ginagawang parking lot Ang kalsada at Wala Naman ginagawa Ang Brgy at MMDA!Dinadaanan lang Naman!
Thé lady did not even look if there a s bicycle when she cross thé road incredible
That's extremely common. That's why there's so many accidents, and why it's so important to keep sidewalks clear.
IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
better to have more MMDA CLEARING TEAM AROUND METRO MANILA THESE DO NOT CARE AT ALL AND NO DISCIPLINE MORE DILAG.
It could e better if they would not only issue a ticket but also tow them right away. No more ifs and buts. There are a lot of Drivers and Riders that are disregarding the ticket and would not pay nor renew their licence and vehicle registration.
That is part of the problem.. actually getting people to pay their tickets.
But if it's not an impoundable violation, they have no choice but to just issue the ticket.
Unpaid tickets do prevent the registration or license from being renewed. But many drivers, especially motorcycle and tricycle drivers, simply stop renewing their registration.
That's why some drivers will really insist that you just write the ticket to their plate number, instead of their license. Because they have no intention of ever renewing the registration, and no intention of ever paying the tickets.
No Parking anytime
.. The problem mr gadget addict the mostly the drivers are no read no write.... We need to pump up our education system to start with
Gooooood morning everyone, mmda back on the road with the same shit different day 😑
No helmet, no shoes, no license, very sad. Nahulu na, Pero nangngatwiran parin. All wrong.

But no matter how good you are, there's always someone else on the road that can crash into you.
Nothing surprising here. Ofcourse motorcycle riders will always use the "diyan lang" excuse. Why? Because only the team of Bong Nebrija will issue them traffic citations. Regular everyday traffic enforcer, whether LGU or MMDA never, I repeat NEVER issue tickets unless there's an operation with vloggers in tow
I don't know why people vote that kind of chairman they have now. Irresponsible to hus community and I think his just not doing his job well.
