It's funny that the line at Vesemir's funeral if he's king is both boastful about his new title as King of the Isles, but still carries his usual stumbling awkwardness when he has to pause and rephrase his offer of help to get his message across more clearly. An **optional** line, for an **optional** character in this fight, changing to reflect his demeanor if he **optionally** becomes King and is still in line with his established character really shows the strength of CDPR's writing department. No line is ever taken for granted or wasted if it could be more interesting and either tell you more about a character, their view of the world they live in, or their view of the player's actions.
So even in the discussion after helping both of them with their quests, Crach clearly states that Hjalmar is a warrior through and through while Cerys is a planner. Not really surprised that he would leave the actual governing to Cerys since he's more or less hopeless outside of a fight.
Back then, I laughed everytime I heard Hjalmar saying "Cerys will take care of that"...But the ability to know the right person for a mission or a task is one of the characteristic of a badass king too... I can say Hjalmar is a badass king...
Something for your Hjalmar Video if you did`t already metioned it: When you are on Hjalmars Quest on Undvik, you can find his horn that he uses against sirenes and let them fall out of the sky
Hey I found something new in the combat system. It's a new finish move I acidentally did against a heavily armoured Skellige guard, where Geralt hits his opponent in the face with his sword's pommel. I think it's pretty uncommon because it's the only time I ever got it, and the animation looks kinda weird, like it's not really supposed to happen.
I don't know if you have alry covered that, because there's so much of your videos about W3, but there's kind of interesting quest development or piece of information you can learn while doing Hjalmar personal quest on Undvik. Actually, if you speak to Crach about helping Hjalmar, he will tell you to seek some information about Undvik in the tavern in the harbor below Kaer Trolde. It's completely optional, but if you decide to do that, later on you can actually discover the identity of the madman on Undvik (the one that is in the giant's boat).
I plan on doing a video about that quest, there are several interesting details surrounding it. I think I actually went to that tavern on my first walkthrough.
I usually support Cerys just to see Birna Bran punished but it’s always bothered me that you basically do everything for her, whilst Hjalmar is right there fighting with you as soon as you meet up with him on Undvik.
Dude u got to check this out. There is a new quest on helping an old woman from ghost near Village(blackbough) on a bridge. The quest is called last rite
One thing that some players have probably missed is the fact that if you free folan after searching for hilmar he will have an extra dialogue with him and if you went to the caves and search for the remaening of hilmar's crew every time gralt find a body folan will have a dialogue about it.
So i found this nice touch at the beggining of the game when you go to talk to the emperor Emhyr, after you talk with him, you will talk to Yennefer. At the end of the dialogue she will teleport away but you can actually run into the portal. You don't go with her but it teleports you in another room of the castle. I found that a nice touch to the scene :)
Or just hjalmar paying his debt to Geralt after the ice giant fight? Besides, I think Cerys would struggle to fight of the wild hunt she doesn’t seem the most mighty of warriors.
You'd think if the king himself was going across the sea and the continent to fight he'd bring more than his 2 mates, it makes sense when cerys is queen but kinda odd.
Hey X, I was in Novigrad lately and found something interesting. If you play the Carnal Sins quest, you have to visit the Vegelbud residence. Now if you didn’t finish the A Matter Of Life And Death quest (like you didn’t visit Triss after you got the masks) if you visit her before heading towards the Vegelbud residence she will have a dialogue change, including Ingrid but hers is slight. Anyway if you didn’t know this put it in your video if you would like. P.S. I’m a dude lol
I love this game so much. There is so much going on and I truly believe there is hours more to discover. My mind will break when cyberpunk comes out. The entire 5 year process of finding all of this in the witcher will have to restart and I might just die before finishing it.
In the epilogue of the good ending (ciri becomes a Witcher) I visited Undvik (before meeting ciri) and tried the go to the tower, but there were fireballs raining down as if the events that happens had continued as the story went on. When I walked up to the tower, the horses that Geralt and Yennefer were riding had remained there, Not only that, if you get to the tower, Avallac’h is standing there with the spell he was conjuring. I had found this interesting considering the fact that Hjalmar said Cerys was to try to repopulate Undvik. If this has already been mentioned by someone or in a video, sorry for repeating. P.s. I’m not sure if this matters but the ending I had was when radovid lived.
Did you know that in quest "To bait a forktail..." while useing Witcher senses you end up walking to goat, but there is diffrent Dialogue with Eskel if you get right to him instead of the goat?
Actually I've done this so many times that I never thought to mention it as something rare, normally getting directly to Eskel is faster :) But I suppose I should show it sometime
Damn, I don’t remember Geralt’s voice acting being so subtle. He always speaks coldly but in the funeral dialogue you can sense he is sorrowful. The VA got better and better as the games went on.
I found another detail about Folan that you could add in the video you talked about! When you talk to the guy that makes the fights in Arinbjorn for Fists of Fury Skellige, he actually mentions how you saved Folan during The Lord of Undvik if you've already done the quest and saved him from being troll stew.
hey Xletalis i just noticed this detail, and i am not sure if you covered it already so i thought i'd tell you about it, while on the quest, the trial of the grasses where you fight the harpies with lambert and use your crossbow to shoot them out of the air, lambert comments on you using the crossbow and says: 'Nice gabriel, you should get me one of those" (the word gabriel is a refrence to the books where small crossbows are called gabriels)
I'm looking forward to continuing my NG+, I had no idea you could have Hjalmar join in the Battle of Kaer Morhen (and Roche - possibly Zoltan too?) The possibilities seem endless!
Roche and Ves, Zoltan, Hermion, Hjalmar. The archer guy and the crazy dude you rescue at the ice giant quest too, they come with Hjalmar. Triss, Yen, Keira, and Letho are in too. Can't remember if I forgot anyone

(In dandelion's voice) My dear friend Geralt of Rivia destroyed the wild hunt, killed/spared dettlaf. With nothing left to do he decided to join the brotherhood of assassins to destroy a new enemy the Templars.
@xLetalis I found a rare piece of dialogue during the quest "Missing in Action". Where you go straight to the hut where Bastian and Rhosyn are staying. Here Bastian says that they both deserted and to find his brother Dune. If you visit the hut after reporting this to Dune, where he gives you no reward by the way, you find Rhosyn's body. I can't tell if this is just available in New game plus as that is my only play through where I tried this.

An **optional** line, for an **optional** character in this fight, changing to reflect his demeanor if he **optionally** becomes King and is still in line with his established character really shows the strength of CDPR's writing department. No line is ever taken for granted or wasted if it could be more interesting and either tell you more about a character, their view of the world they live in, or their view of the player's actions.
well said
Cerys: sorry Hjalmaar gave me a load of tasks
Hjalmaar, the King: *WHOOPTIDOO*
So even in the discussion after helping both of them with their quests, Crach clearly states that Hjalmar is a warrior through and through while Cerys is a planner. Not really surprised that he would leave the actual governing to Cerys since he's more or less hopeless outside of a fight.
Back then, I laughed everytime I heard Hjalmar saying "Cerys will take care of that"...But the ability to know the right person for a mission or a task is one of the characteristic of a badass king too... I can say Hjalmar is a badass king...
fair enough
I want my memories wiped just so I can play this game anew again.
indeed I do as well :(
Get the tabletop RPG and continue the adventure with friends! That's what solved the post-W3 depression for me.
Something for your Hjalmar Video if you did`t already metioned it: When you are on Hjalmars Quest on Undvik, you can find his horn that he uses against sirenes and let them fall out of the sky
Indeed, you can then keep it and honk it at will :D
the madlad just tackled that minion back to his own portal and then came out of another saying skellige is colder.
WHAT AND ABSOLUTE UNIT !!!
Another AWESOME Witcher vid, my dude.
This was really interesting to watch.
Thank you :)
I've seen that I think...
Pommel you say? I see Geralt has learned how to end them rightly
damn, that hjalmar tackle at 4:09 is badass.. "skellige gets colder 'n that"..haha
indeed ;]
7:00 That's a good problem to have.
oh it is, never implied I was complaining.... well may be a little, cause I won't have as much time for the Witcher :D
I started watching you on 2017 and I still love you
Thank you for being here ;]
I don't know if you have alry covered that, because there's so much of your videos about W3, but there's kind of interesting quest development or piece of information you can learn while doing Hjalmar personal quest on Undvik.
The Witcher's Creed : Assassins of Monsters vibe intensifies
Confusing stonks ?
I usually support Cerys just to see Birna Bran punished but it’s always bothered me that you basically do everything for her, whilst Hjalmar is right there fighting with you as soon as you meet up with him on Undvik.
Dude u got to check this out. There is a new quest on helping an old woman from ghost near Village(blackbough) on a bridge. The quest is called last rite
U can only find it during night time
Also there is another secret room in the palace of vizima, in the garden
Use ur Witcher sences to search the beams in the garden
I once made a short video about it - ruclips.net/video/T1FdvSjWsMs/видео.html should probably mention it again though
Love these videos
One thing that some players have probably missed is the fact that if you free folan after searching for hilmar he will have an extra dialogue with him and if you went to the caves and search for the remaening of hilmar's crew every time gralt find a body folan will have a dialogue about it.
Nah.
I think you mean before finding Hjalmar.
Yeah I plan on mentioning that ;]
xLetalis, it is without a doubt that you have the best coverage of Witcher 3 on the net. Hands down.
Cerys is the better choice always.
She's intelligent which is whats needed against Black Ones
Or just hjalmar paying his debt to Geralt after the ice giant fight? Besides, I think Cerys would struggle to fight of the wild hunt she doesn’t seem the most mighty of warriors.
Except skellige loses its strength when cerys takes the thorne, theyll live better sure but, in war theyll lose
Damn Geralt looks cool in that Assassins outfit
oh the Vagabond armor with hood is the shit
You'd think if the king himself was going across the sea and the continent to fight he'd bring more than his 2 mates, it makes sense when cerys is queen but kinda odd.
Hjalmar is such a chad for charging at a wild hunt warrior right back through the portal
Never seen the 'Hjalmar into the portal' thing despite 3 or 4 playthroughs. What a bad ass lol.
Thank you very much. I wanted to know this so bad. I had forgotten.
Heh my pleasure :)
Hey I think I've heard about this but haven't checked it out yet!
This video+ the comments made me like Hjalmar more as a character. That jump in the portal was awesome
:) Me too tbh
I love this game so much. There is so much going on and I truly believe there is hours more to discover. My mind will break when cyberpunk comes out. The entire 5 year process of finding all of this in the witcher will have to restart and I might just die before finishing it.
hehe :) I know how you feel
7:10 it's never too late for xLetalis making Witcher videos ❤️
Jeez that tackle through the portal! Awesome!
"Seems like goats are also Witcher bait" or something like that.
there are some aspects of the game that never gets old, specially, pan quest, help from hjalmar, and sheepy sheepy quest.
Hmm I've actually done it in this order in my first walkthrough but I do't remember that :) Thanks I'll check!
Geralt about to kiss uma, bro don't do me like that, I wasn't ready
This game still gives me chills thanks for the vid
my pleasure :)
You must be a detective that’s incredible
Me: *is about to be productive*
Letalis: *uploads video*
It's only less than 9 minutes loss in productivity :)
hey Xletalis i just noticed this detail, and i am not sure if you covered it already so i thought i'd tell you about it, while on the quest, the trial of the grasses where you fight the harpies with lambert and use your crossbow to shoot them out of the air, lambert comments on you using the crossbow and says: 'Nice gabriel, you should get me one of those" (the word gabriel is a refrence to the books where small crossbows are called gabriels)
I have to mention it yes, I didn't know it a year ago or so, but someone commented about it in my Kaer Morhen details video
I'm looking forward to continuing my NG+, I had no idea you could have Hjalmar join in the Battle of Kaer Morhen (and Roche - possibly Zoltan too?)
The possibilities seem endless!
Roche and Ves, Zoltan, Hermion, Hjalmar. The archer guy and the crazy dude you rescue at the ice giant quest too, they come with Hjalmar. Triss, Yen, Keira, and Letho are in too. Can't remember if I forgot anyone
@@joaosimao6325 nope, you named all correctly, that is full crew, Dijkstra will tell you he cannot spare men and Emhyr refuses to give you command over Nilfgaardian troops ...
Yes, all of them can :)
_Team Triss_
@@joaosimao6325 wow! Thanks! :)
That white armor on Geralt looks so clean
(In dandelion's voice) My dear friend Geralt of Rivia destroyed the wild hunt, killed/spared dettlaf. With nothing left to do he decided to join the brotherhood of assassins to destroy a new enemy the Templars.
I remember the first time I saw Hjalmar tackle that dude. What a legend.
"wE hAve ALliEs."
-Jon "Kno' Nuthin'" Snow
I didn’t expect the Slo-mo Hjalmar tackle and I gave away at work I was watching this video 😂.
lol :) I guess the video is NSFW
0:35 i was not mentally prepared for that...
apologies ;]
@xLetalis I found a rare piece of dialogue during the quest "Missing in Action".
Where you go straight to the hut where Bastian and Rhosyn are staying. Here Bastian says that they both deserted and to find his brother Dune. If you visit the hut after reporting this to Dune, where he gives you no reward by the way, you find Rhosyn's body.
I can't tell if this is just available in New game plus as that is my only play through where I tried this.
I'm planning a video involving that
@@xLetalis Not bad! When should we expect to see that?
@@patrickcollins5125 hopefully before the release of Cyberpunk ;]
@@xLetalis I know you mentioned something of the sort in your latest video, but do you think you will ever upload the witcher 3 content again, once Cyberpunk 2077 comes out, or will you go back from time to time once there is new and interesting content discovered.
On the subject or Cyberpunk and the Witcher, do you think they will add in a Ciri easter Egg at some point . :) (Based on Geralts talk with her when she wakes up on the Isle of Mists.)
Will we be seeing cyberpunk videos till 2025? hopefully!
May be :)
buddy u know good and well he will be doing cyberpunk videos till 2100
Probably till 2077 when Letalis is too old but his children will take over the channel and upload it.
So right now I am watching a very in dept review of Witcher 2 and now you releasing this video on Witcher 3... This is making me want to play these games again so badly.
00:08
Well, since Geralt is dressed like he's in an Assassin's Creed game, he may as well act the part.
With all those people talking about how many playthroughts they have made...can we get a poll on this?
I don't think there is a place were more dedicated fans of the game are present, so the numbers could be quite interesting to see.
I'll make one soon ;]
This game is a masterpiece, the writing is amazing. Unfortunately judging by what they did with Cyberpunk it seems it will never happen again.
Bethesda, Bioware, now CDPR... sigh.
Can't and shouldn't expect them to make two masterpieces back to back there will always be flaws.
I felt Skellige in my bones too playing there.
The more .. ."assassin" looking armor and a leap of fate ..
Very cool
Време няма, а има много работа аа? Interesting videos as always! Keep them coming!
Da :( Thank you
