I keep coming back to this video, partly for reference, but also because I love the language and the soothing, peaceful delivery of the instructions. To me it shows how much beauty there is in little things when you do them with passion and care.
I was at the Goodwill when I found a cashemre sweater in new condition. It has one little food stain on it but that’s it. No tears, the tags are all still there. I looked it up, $263 bucks it costs… but I got it for $6.99
@@rubitinkerbell9478 yes, let it soak for a little while, depending on how dirty. Baby shampoo is mild followed by a little apple cider vinegar and then conditioner to keep the fibers soft. You do not need to do it often. I did it 2ce a season, sometimes only once a season.
I can't believe someone measures the sweater just like I do. I wanna know if they shrink or not. Sometimes I even do it before sending them off to a dry cleaner cos I don't trust them.
You can in a front loader machine that has the proper wool delicate settings but hand washing is much safer and less likely to damage the sweater. It really depends on the composition and value of the garment.
What about a laundrey deterget for cashmere or silk and washing the pullover with only 20 Degrees in a wasching maschine? with only 800 revoulutions? 🤔
I hate Cashmere sweaters after watching this... It's like the royal snob of clothes; only 6 stars service will satisfy it. Cashmere is the opposite of minimalism living "cuz you can rinse it all day"!
i just bought a $450 cashmere cardigan and this video saved me from so much stress
Made my day! Thanks for the comment.
Same here :D William Lockie Cashmere Sweater. Saved up a while for this definitely want to give it the care it deserves!

Cool I have bean washing my cashmere sweater kinda like this so I'm happy to see i wasnt too far off. Thanks for the video
That's a really good idea measuring the sweater first. I have used shampoo in the past on my wools. I even have used conditioner a few times.
Conditioner is used to reshape wool stuff, wouldnt use it for regular cleaning
O really thank u much will use it... Shampoo with cold water???plz reply

Once you feel the cashmere on your skin you don't go back to wear any sweater. Thank you for showing us how to wash. Where can I buy your shampoo?

Can you not wash in the machine with cold water, just put the sweater in a delicate clothing bag?

Nice advice

I don't see anything snobbish about learning how to properly take care of the sweater my grandmother knitted for me. Ya fuckin douchebag.
The fuck are you here for then?
What a strange comment....cashmere snobby?
Well even with other common and less expensive fabrics people should really wash them and take care of them so they will last longer.
