Hi there bus many thanks for showing how to prime and commision the shower. Mines a Mira Advance exactly the same, with the pressure bar me and my family would like to adjust the bar behind the service tunnel. How would I be able to adjust the bar to 2 bar for water flow? if you could let me know, appreciate. 💯
@@Rusties844 Hi bud and I tried it comes out saturating but quite slow and weak, planning to have it pulled out and a new better shower fitted. There are water pressure boosters for pipes too, as I havent checked them yet, you having same problem with your pressure?

Hi Lurgs. I've had this shower for a few years now. Last few weeks I've noticed the water is just warm. For example how it would be on setting 4. I like it on 6-7 and it feels the same heat as if it were on 4. I've tried cranking it up to 9 (which is always usually too hot) but it's still not hot enough. In short setting 4-9 are the same heat more or less. Unless I turn it all the up then it's the usual scolding heat. Do you think the heating element / thermostat has gone. Or have I unintentionally changed the temperature settings somehow. I.e. sometimes the shower has cut off for other reasons and maybe by me turning off/on the power supply and turning the thermostat could've programmed the temperature setting?
great vid i have that shower with problems shower on some one turns on a tap shower stops now its just flashing red and white and i dont have a manual any advice thanks
Sounds like a water pressure issue. Probably worth checking the filter incase it’s blocked up with dirt and grit or try a brand new shower head if that’s a bit blocked.
Hi, I tried resetting my shower and also tried what you showed to do in your video, but it didn't work. I rent a council flat and when they sent an electrician out, he didn't even check anything, he just said I need a new one when I told him what was wrong and what I tried. They said it will be 3 weeks for one to arrive, is it really needing replaced or is there something else I can try? I even tried to get a Croydex Secura tap attachment on my taps and couldn't get it on, so I'm having to make do with baths - better than nothing I know.
Are you getting flashing lights on it? You can look up the meaning of them. Pain having a bath. When we’ve lost a shower I just keep an empty large lemonade bottle or jug and sit in bath and fill that from running tap and pour over my head for a quick shower\wash which saves having to wait for bath to fill up
@LurgsHowToGuides The high flow light flashes when the shower is on, then when it switches itself off, beeps and the two LEDs below turn red, it stays blue. I checked for the error code in the manual and this is what it says 'Incoming water flow too low for appliance to operate safely, faulty Thermal Trip or faulty Heater Tank. 1. Reset the unit. 2. Check all plumbing isolator valves to the shower are turned fully on. 3. A section of the supply pipe is frozen, allow to thaw and insulate the pipe. 4. Replace Thermal Trip. 5. Replace Heater Tank. I managed to force the tap attachment on eventually to have a shower, but the duct tape holding the shower head on the pipe wasn't holding and kept leaking, so I'll have to put loads more on.
Hi there, wonder if you can help me, I too had the mira advance old model that you shown at the beginning of the video and after a few year last week it broke down and was replaced with a new one which looks exactly like this one you have . However it seems like its does have as much pressure and flow as my old one and now thinking it wasn't primed like you did in this video as I was watching him install it and never seen him do that, I'm thinking if doing it now. I wanted to ask how much kW was the old mira advance you had? I can see in this video when you was putting the screw in this new one you have is 9.8kw model in this new one , I'm presuming this would mean it has more water pressure and flow to your old one? I can't help feel that my old one had a high and low switch option and this new one doesn't could this explain why its doesn't have more pressure when using the shower....
No harm in priming it. But it could just be coz of a different shower head. Modern showers don't use as much water so it could just be that. Ours seems to be ok though. Hopefully if will sort it out. Good luck.
@@LurgsHowToGuides I primed it about 1 hour ago and the first thing i done last week when i noticed it doesnt seem as powerful as my old one was to put the old mira advance showerhead back on with original hose and its still the same. When I put it on the coldest settings it gets more powerful and that's how it was when I use to use my old one at temperature 6-7 Do you find your new one less powerful than your old one too?
It’s about the same, BUT check the manual as you can alter the Factory settings on those Pins, it may be set at a lower temp. Possibly setting a higher temp will help. Else there’s not much else you can do.
I used a water softener, for the mains water supply to the shower, no lime scale or soap scum. clean as a whistle, all the time. the thermostatic mixer, does not get jamed by lime scale etc.
Is factory settings the highest temperature for these care showers please? When the plumber fitted this, he said he could turn it to max if I wished but he is not allowed to. I was complaining it is not hot enough as I like piping hot showers. Can you tell me which tabs need to be on the ON position for hottest temp please?
Wow I have never ever gone above 7 on ours as that’s hot enough! Factory settings allows max temp of 48c. On the 8 switches inside the shower put them all into the OFF position, this should set it at Max temp. But take a photo of current settings before you change it incase you have to change it back.
Hi. Is there anyway to increase water flow preassure - IE not with the shower head medication - actual root of cold water pipe into shower? i tried the turn valve and got a small improvement.
You’d need to check your mains cold water pressure. Obviously if someone is running a tap or flushing the toilet close by this will affect water pressure.
Does it work with a orange light after the final step or white , mine is orange with flow rate of about 4:5 lots per minute which I’m not impressed with so you input would be nice

Does those newer clamp brackets fit on the older metal slider rail?
Not sure but it’s a terrible design on the actual shower head I can’t lock it into place so it always leans down way too far .

Best bet is a Mira technician call out or if you buy a similar Mira shower it’s exactly the same fitting and screw locations
@@LurgsHowToGuidesOk, thank you.
We have the same unit, and ever since our neighbours left , the water stream became really strong . Is there a way to controll the stream at all ?
No I don’t think you can control the mains pressure flow. You can reset the shower (prime) so it understands the flow rate again
