How about, we ditch the scripted couples idea and instead have a show of real idol couples sharing their stories for fans to better understand and just as a safer platform for idols to open up about relationships

I still don't get the point of this show...... They pretend to be married, but it's a reality show, and if they are dating in real life, that's considered cheating on their partner in the show, and nothing except tasks are supposed to be scripted.

When it first aired I believe in the early 2000s (2005) it was supposed to be directed for audience 18 and up like a funny like dragging joke among fans of groups they wanted to see together for variety and comedy purposes because back then so it was a normal thing where idol openly would flirt as a running gag. they had crazy fans but they were under control. They weren't as violent or obsessive like the newer generation of fans in 2009 and it had a scandal doni and taeyeon (singer) due to doni being a middle age man (comedian) and her being 18 around 2008. so after 2009 it went downhill and turned into showcase what your idol would be like as a husband or wife like how they would be in a marriage. It's marketable to teens to get see what how their oppa's or noona's would treat their partner. It makes a teen be like "ohhhh I can't believe my idol acts like that it's so amazingly similar to my ideal preference in a wife." So with the newer generation fans they see their idols as their obsessive which is why they change the concept to how they would focus more romance and light skinship to give fans what their idols would be like in relationship if they could imagine themselves with the idol. Where as the earlier seasons in the early 2000s seasons focused more on comedy and challenges with the two. So due to the change the ratings started to get really low with the last episodes had Eric Nam and Solar ending the show with a final farewell to the series.

Yeah you can see the slow progress in joy and seungjae how they were shy at first then start tl get close and comfortable and a little sweet but when shit is going good they leave wgm.

I think we all know the only couple that was genuinely _into_ each other was Joy and Seungjae... like, if it came out at the end of the year one year when Dispatch exposes their annual secret idol relationship that Joy & Seungjae have been dating this whole time, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised...
I found the premise interesting because we got idol interactions we’d only see at maybe end of the year award shows, however I think it’s best not rebooted until fan culture about idols dating calms down (wishful thinking I know)

I first discovered the show in 2015 through Taemin and Naeun couple, and back then I was only a year into korean pop culture and entertainment!
I watched a few older couples, my favorite were Go junhee and singer Jinwoo from 2PM, Leetuk and Sora (his proposal at his concert!!), Gain and Jokwon, T Ara Eunjung’s couple was cute. And I started watching the episodes every Sunday until it stopped. I didn’t care if it was idols on the show, I really just love love, and being single ever since I felt good seeing all the cute moments and interaction, it actually gave me nice date ideas!! Although it must be emotionally hard for the people when they have to stop and it’s not their decision..
From the latter season I like Jinkyung and Jota, Hong Jinyoung and Nam Goongmin, Henry and Yewon (they had a lot of potentiel), Bomi and Cho Taejoon I really loved them together, and like many other I liked Sungjae and Joy! A lot of great parings and iconic couple like Nickhun and Victoria for exemple, I thought it was a nice entertainment for us forever alone people 😅
I don’t know if you’ll see this, but why not a video on Real Men, I thought it was a good show as well, I remember there was a season with only female guests!
I'd love a reboot of We Got Married 😁😁 one where the idols are better defended from controversy and hate comments 😊😊 And I'd love a version of the show where a selected fan sees what one of their favorite idols goes through while the idol does the same for the fan 😊 I'd sign up for that show in a heartbeat if it meant I could see the real world of Kpop with one of my favorite idols 😁

This is one of the reasons why I believe the kpop industry actually encourages sasaeng behavior. Considering everyone is always up in arms about idols getting together, why make a show like this? It’s not hard to imagine why this show has put many idol lives in danger. I hate this show...

I know it’s been said a million times, but I wanted to speak up again. I think I would have loved new episodes with 3rd gen idols (maybe even some 4th?).
I really didn't care about idols be on the show, whether it was fake or not it was still cute. I loved that show but every time a couple got canceled on the show it made me pissed because I actually saw some faith in their relationship/frendship

I liked Jo Se-Ho and Fiestar's Cau Lo. They seemed like an unlikely pairing, but had good chemistry on-screen. The involvement of their families boosted the realism factor.

I’m about to be the odd ball haha my personal opinion the show is absolutely fun, cute, and entertaining but here’s why I think it shouldn’t make a come back I feel that these days a lot of these “fans” are super sensitive and over protective of their faves like I’m sure we’ve all have witness how harsh and extreme some of these “fans” can be if you were to even be in the same building as their idol breaking the same air when they felt you’re not worth enough haha I just don’t wanna see more idols especially the females because these “fans” are so harsh on female idols I don’t wanna see anyone being hurt by all the mean comments because we know there will be some I just feel like it would be more protective of the idols if they didn’t bring the show back
