    I love love love this monitor. I’ve had it for a couple of years. Very comfortable. Two full nights on one charge. I hoped to stop my cpap but this monitor proved that I must continue on cpap. A few friends have borrowed it and they appreciated the results. I used it when I had covid. I couldn’t breathe through my nose and therefore couldn’t wear my cpap and worried about my oxygenation.

    Very well done review. I have sleep apnea and by losing weight, having a deviated septum corrected and using a specialised adjustable mouthguard have been able to stop using my CPAP machine....having said that at times I feel a bit too tired and wonder if it's creeping back at times.....So I especially appreciate the clarity and thoroughness with which you did this review.....it's difficult to research this subject to separate hyperbole from an evidence based approach. Your review is, by far, the most useful I have read to date.

      @@JSyntaxI have just watched your review of the Ring Sleep Monitor and I notice now that they have a new ProSleep Ring Monitor. The difference appears to be in having data to your PC......Is there any difference in the data representation on PC vs Smartphone? Also did you find either the ring monitor or Wrist Sleep Monitor more comfortable? Do you find a particular value in having some of the data on the ring monitor itself? Final and (I promise) last question......if you can only have one for yourself which do you choose and why? Kind regards,

    I saw another video on both the wrist and the ring. The wrist does Not display the oxygen saturation while the ring displays the oxygen saturation when it is on. How come it does not have that feature on the wrist version? If would like to be able to see what my 02 sat is when it alarms. Looks like a great device. Thank you for your reviews.

    It’s only good if its accurate. I’ve compared it with another oximeter and this device wasn’t as sensitive to drops in O2 and it constantly displayed 3-5% higher reading than my IOX oximeter.

      I suggest that you check the battery life for each before buying either. I have a similar, if not identical wrist system of a different brand. The wrist system charges for 72-hours, the ring for far fewer hours. The wrist system while using the sensor on the thumb is very comfortable, hardly noticeable. Good luck friend.

    TY for shearing. Will this work for day also ? As I some times suffer from daytime apnea and sleep apnea. I'm non diagnosed as my apnea is random. I have a apple watch 6 But its battery and functionality is lame. It's only a spot monitor(non 24/7 monitoring). I do gardening on a regular basis.. So can you work a shovel wile wearing it ?
    I do like how the thumb ring is replicable.. I think due to it having a usb plug.
    Again TY for shearing an looking to hear back so I can get my money back for apple watch 6 if I can replace it.

    • @trueTamilgirl
      @trueTamilgirl 3 года назад

      He said the ring only records 4 hours. If you were sleeping for like 8 hours or 10 hours, the ring wouldn't be effective.
      I owe the wrist version. Its way effective than the ring since the wrist records 10 hours of your sleep.

    Does the app track REM and different sleep cycles

    • @rbenninga1
      @rbenninga1 4 года назад

      I have the same question. From the data read outs, it does not appear so.

    • @theJ4ZZ
      @theJ4ZZ 4 года назад +1

      /sleeptech A good indicator of true deep sleep (slow wave sleep) versus wake/REM is just how flat the HR or spo2 line looks. In your deep sleep, your physiology becomes extremely stable, including your HR, resp rate, and spo2. That's where you'd hear people snoring like trains, but also a ridiculously stable HR and spo2 line (lot of times even with severe apnea). In REM, even if your sp02 is stable, you have a variable HR that you can definitely see on a chart. If you've got apnea, that's usually the stage it's terrible in and you'll hear them choking. Usually the variance in breathing in REM naturally causes small spo2 dips and rises, you may even see it in a healthy spo2 reading just with tiny dips, maybe 2-4%.
      Not that this will tell you on an app, but if you're just taking a quick glance each morning, knowing that info is very helpful. Lot of sleep stage trackers are unreliable. I've caught myself in deep sleep or REM based on my HR when mine says I'm in light sleep all night.
