- NFL Street 2 was a classic, and I highly recommend picking it up, even today. It's one of the greatest sports video games of all time. EA Sports Big was amazing.

NFL Street 2 and NBA Street got a special place in my heart. These were the games that really got me hooked into sports game. I remember I bought a cheap Ravens jersey cuz how cool was the jerseys were. I wish games like this would be revived. The fun and arcade-y experience and not the overly complex of Madden what separates it and especially the cool diving and wall jumps you can do in the game. Brings back memories!
NFL Street 2 was one of my favorite games to play on the PS2. The intro video to the game alone was enough to get me excited and ready to play! It truly was a masterpiece that can't be recaptured
ive spent more time playing this game on PSP vs playing Ps5 over the last 6 months. this game never ever stops being fun.

*I didn't grow up playing NFL Street 1 or 2 as a kid when it 1st came out so last year, i decided to buy the 1st NFL Street and was hooked INSTANTLY!! Couldnt stop playing it. A few months later, got Street 2..... THAT GAME HAS A HOLD ON ME! Plan on playing it tomorrow when i get off work. They cheat so hard on Own The City....*
Dude this game was such a blast..got it for psp around 06-07 and damn was it a good game to waste time on especially long ass car rides and at school. This definitely brings back some crazy memories.

Thank you for making this! This game is slept on so hard. NFL Street 2 will always have a special place in my heart. It was a nice change of pace from madden and just plain fun to play. Still have my ps2 and play it from time to time and playing is like riding a bike. Still better than the newer madden games.

NFL Street 2 was awesome. I bought it on the original Xbox back in 2021 and I had a blast with it. I also added my own custom soundtracks onto the game.

Facebreaker was fun when I was a kid. But it's extremely difficult especially Romeo. The game is overall fun
Whatever that last instrumental you use in the background you use while summarizing the game always takes me back to being a teenager I love this channel for making me feel like a kid again through these great games no worries no bills just pure fun thank you 🙏

Hey SoftDrink. Don't know if you will cover this game cause it's not really sports but it's inspired by different fighting arts. Def Jam Vandetta was made by EA Big but the even better sequal was made called Def Jam Fight For New York by EA Games. It's a game I highly recommend playing if you haven't already. It may be repetitive but it's the fun kind with fighting of different popular rappers at the time of release. If you enjoy it enough I hope to see an In Retrospect video of it from you
The “Def Jam” games before “Icon” were awesome. Even the PSP version of “Fight for NY” was awesome, and offered a fair bit of reason to exist beyond a different version of “Fight for NY.” And the story of “Fight for NY” is one of the best stories in any pro wrestling game ever.
@redjed100 Agreed. I was born when it came out and as a kid I loved playing it on my uncle's GameCube. That and a few DBZ games were great and over the years I played the PSP versions on my phone and absolutely loved it like I did as a child. Hope one day I can get my hands on a PS2/GameCube to play that game again
@@dominicmorales619 I’d say you’re better off finding a PS2 ROM for both games and using PCSX2, because used copies of those games, even disk-only, are pricey with a capital P.

Aww...YEAH! NFL Street 2. No rules! No refs! No coaches! Just hard hitting, wall jumping, and high energy action! This was football and when football was fun. Hell even changing the team's outfits after seeing top stars on TV. Miss games like this!
Loved this on PSP. I hilariously played the 3 NFL Street games in reverse order, didn't play them until absolutely years later as they were very difficult to find in Europe.

Currently playing this game. I forgot how much fun this was. I also loved NHL hitz that I think was EA BIG with over the top fighting huge shots man it was so much fun
NFL Street and NFL Street 2 were some of the funnest games I've ever played in my life. One of the best couch multiplayer games ever made.
The art style, the way the players talked throughout games, the individual style they had players wearing what they would in real life, the soundtrack. My favorite NFL game to this day

Me and my lil brother used to play this joint all the time. We’d set the score limit to 100 and play 45 min games for hours. Now my ps2 is at my grandmas house 3 hours away, every thanksgiving we go over there and play one match to 100 for old times sake. It still holds up, sucks that they don’t think to remaster stuff like this
NFL Street 2 is amazing. The cheat codes in that game was insane. You should do SSX tricky next.

I grew up playing this game on a PSP I got when I was 3. My first ever console. Best video game memories of my life hands down we’re playing local multiplayer on the bus in elementary school.
I’m not the biggest NFL fan, BUT I have beaten this campaign, more than any other video game ever made. I’m looking forward to beating it again soon!

I went back and played through the entire career mode a few months ago. I had fond memories with the OG game, but had never played NFL Street 2. Such a fun and very addicting game!
My dad bought me this game in 06 for the gamecube. I told him back then that i wanted a “football” game, i obviously meant soccer but nevertheless he bought me nfl street 2 and it was a blast !

I recently did a playthrough of the NFL Challenge mode, recreating players from my Retro Bowl profile. A really fun time, and relatively easy to do since the player ratings in NFL Street aren't too complex or spread out.

I just finnished my running back player career the other day. This game is just pure fun!
I think NFL street would still work today. even if it had to be made by indie developers even if it had to be made with a NFLPA rather then a NFL license, i think it would still work. maybe even sign a deal with A7FL (a no pads tackle football league which is kinda like NFL streets and has teams all over the country) to create a licensed game that has that nfl streets style gameplay.
Obviously though it's still going to need the best of both worlds in order to survive. a touch of sweet over the top arcadey gameplay with sim and rpg elements and features that add replay value to the game i can only hope Wild Card football and ESG Football 23 offer this. not to mention unrestrictive customization, season mode, and cpu vs cpu.
I never liked football ( soccer) games but i loved the fifa street games, never liked basketball games but nba steet 2 is still one of my favorite games ever made, you convinced me to give this a try.
Unpopular Opinion: Honestly, I love the trilogy of the NFL Street series, they’re hands down one of my all time favorite games from the 6th console generation (Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, OG Xbox and Nintendo GC) and for many reasons including my favorite one which is most sports games are missing today’s world and that is FUN!

These instrumentals are hitting different right now. The NFL Street series was always better than madden to me. Hopefully Wildcard Football can be something great.
I’ll never forget how irrationally angry I was on the IGN boards when Madden 06 came out. Why was my NFL Street player 67 overall in Superstar mode when people were importing their NCAA characters and immediately had overalls in the mid-high 80’s? I just dummied NFL stars and legends ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL damnit!

I never played the sequels to nfl street but the first game was my jam it was the only sports game i played online i met alot of cool people and we formed rivalries constantly going back and forth with our W/Ls

NFL Street 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yeah, it had its quirks, but it is still amazing.
I just wish they had waited a year or two to release it versus just a few months after the first one for Christmas.
Still doesn't take away from how much I enjoy this game.

NFL Street 2 another successful Street game.
I find it hilarious how all 3 of the NFL Street games had better face sculpting than anything else EA put out for football. I don't know if that's still true with PS4/Xbox one onwards madden but for a while it felt like they only truly made "accurate" faces in this art style.
Crush. The. Carrier. Played it for hours, days, weeks and months on end. I WISH we could have a remastered version of EA Big games. I hope and pray there’s a random remastered revolution in game development where publishers realize it’s cheaper, easier, and would probably be better received to just remaster classics.
Can't wait to play this again on my new gaming laptop. Still have our XBOX disc of Street 1 and my Gamecube disc of Street 2. Cool intro, iconic soundtrack, Own The City is such a awesome concept, the tutorial of Xzibit making fun of you lol, the minigames, the team customization (I swear I've seen that skull logo in other games), being able to change how the players look... Crush the Carrier will always stick in my mind. It had no right to be that deep for a 2004 game!!

HITZ was my favorite hockey game for years. The Street games were great for all the sports, then throw in Jam, Blitz, effin Slugfest.
Shame that style of game has been dead for decades.

Nba street vol 2 and vol 3 and nfl street 1 were my games and some of the best games when i played the ps2
I spent hours as a kid creating teams and slowly upgrading them until they became gods😂 the AFC West always gave me trouble especially the chiefs on that desert map
Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed Def Jam Vendetta wasn't listed among the most popular EA Sports BIG titles. It's got a big fan base still to this day, and I don't see anyone really talking about Freekstyle anymore. Good video overall, though. I loved Street 1 and 2 as a teenager and would love to play them again. Might have to look into buying used copies.
