Most Iconic Cheer Routine EVER! 1-3-5-7 MUSIC STOPS! COUGARS ~ NCA CHAMPIONS!

  • You may have seen this before, but since a large music group decided to claim our video because of music the arena played just in their introduction, I have decided to recreate this without the intro. I will be making the original video private. They will NOT use our material to make money and THIS team deserves to be on RUclips and EVERY team deserves to see what to do if something like this happens to their music. So share this like it was a big box of doughnuts! Thanks guys!
When your music stops next time you're in a competition... REMEMBER THE COUGARS!!!
This was an epic performance on the bigger stage to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Foodfangirl In football when a player is down both teams are expected to take a knee for them. I have only been to one game that they did not. It was shocking and disrespectful. However, I absolutely love that they counted and cheered for the girls!

As a former skater and band member i know all about couts for the music.
And i watched as a syncro team skated after the music went out and they finihed the rutine musicless. Being on the stage lights w blamed the girl whose spot went out and had to be fixed durring intermission. Latter we learned somone hit the wrong button. But the spot was up again.

When I’m on stage sometimes I lose count bc I’m focusing to much on wut comes next (I regain count) so hearing them yell it might’ve let them focus more on what’s next. But idk

the feeling of finishing a routine with no music is crazy. at our last dance competition a couple years ago, our final production routine with every girl on our team in it. half way through, the music stopped mid- tumble passes and turns. we all started screaming the lyrics and it’s crazy. at a dance competition, you are in straight eye contact with the judges. they were all shocked, and the other studios were backstage screaming counts to keep us going. when we ended and hit our final pose, everyone in the audience stood up and freaked out, we all stood up and started jumping and crying, and when we got backstage every single studio waiting for awards was screaming with us. at awards, there was only 2nd and 1st left to announce. we either got it all or got nothing. and let me tell you, when the announcers scream “1st place overall champion goes to number 272 soda shop by studio a dance academy”... we all started bawling. we all ran up and screamed our studio name and we couldn’t breathe. two years later i still mesmerize that moment, and i’ll never forget it. best feeling ever.💘

I’ve been cheering for 9 years now and my mom was my coach for 7 years and she always stopped our music at random spots and on random days so we could practice going on and at competitions our music never stopped. Also my mom told us that if we lose a shoe or a bow to leave it and keep going. I love cheering it keeps me busy so that I’m not always on my butt.

One time on stage for my musical theatre (dance competitions) routine we played the wrong music (on accident) and the music that was supposed to be played had 4 songs, but the one played only had 3. So once the third music just went on we kept on going and had to sing the rest of the song and the routine was Mamma Mia! and we had to sings and scream dancing queen. It wasn't on the pitch, but all of us just started singing with passion it is a moment in my life that I can never forget. We ended up getting platinum (highest at the competition) and that feeling of finishing that routine and everyone clapping filled joy and life through all of us. It was a truly amazing experience and when the adjudicator called us professionals for what we did it was awesome.

Its a continuation of the count, the music cut at beat 3. I never did cheer but in show choir which has a similar structure we start with a quicj 5-6-7-8 so our first move is beat 1. It helps the focus of the team to continue the beat instead of starting at 1 especially when the entire team is in the middle of a transition.

In cheer, it’s not as hard to continue without music, seeing as when you first start a routine you learn to do it with no music, it basically trains you go be prepared without music even if they don’t think about it.

Recommended a year later and yet not upset at all! It would take a lot of training and courage to keep going, well played cougars!

*This is so cool! Sometimes I think of trying out for cheer but then reality strikes and I know damn well imma break my back 😂 they all did amazing though ❤️❤️👑👑*

Not at all! You should definitely try out! Cheer is a family, and it helps you build up both mental and physical strength. I have a bad back, and on my team there was no judgement for not being able to stretch as far, especially when you start out! By the end of my first cheer season, my back was much better from all the stretching and I was bench pressing as much, if not more than the football team in my gym class. My gym class members admitted it was funny to watch a 5'2" girl get into a weightlifting competition with the team during class and win

So one time a few years ago was my first ever competitive cheer team. I always did rec and at our first comp another’s teams music got played. We were so confused and ended up doing the whole routine to not our music. When we got done we got off the mat crying. We knew we were gonna lose because we weren’t on time with the music cause it wasn’t even ours. We ended up getting last place and to this day I wanna forget that comp.

My coach would occasionally stop the music in practice so if this happened we knew how to continue.

Amazing job! And having the other teams and crowd screaming 1-3-5-7 was just amazing and shows that even tho it’s a competition they support each other when it’s needed!!!

Honestly they are so right about the crowd being so supportive. I was in competition dance in hs and that was the best part about going to nationals. Literally thousands of people cheering you on. It's so empowering and even though I wasn't best friends with everyone in that moment nothing else mattered. Cause you help each other
