Man, sorry. The first time I read about him passing away. That´s so so sad. And for me: Glad, I could see a concert of the BiA-Tour and IDK the album and concert was much stronger than OES... Maybe the prime of the band (together with LoG).
These newly remastered recordings are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Listening to them, you don't just feel part of the audience you feel as though you are ON STAGE with the band. An aural extravaganza to say the least! A lot of care has been put into making these sound incredible and are SO different to the originals. You will hear every sound that each band member makes and there are some storming versions (not on the original albums) such as When It Comes to You, Fade to Black, Portobello Belle, Industrial Disease, Sultans, Tunnel of Love, Telegraph Road and I Think I Love You Too Much. Us fans are exstatic over these new releases! Well done!
The alchemy live album is still unsurpassed the highlights being” sultans” and the incomparable “telegraph road” My dad had it on double cassette and I used to drive him around north wales for work in his little bmw, listening to it on the clarion stereo. Great memories. RIP dad xxxx

I am a huge fan of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler ,and John Illsley .l listen to their music on Spotify, Vinyl and CDs,a lot. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

As an 18year old dire straits fan who have listen to dire straits since i was a little kid. I pre ordered this 4 days earlier!. Can wait to listen to it!
I was after the old LP of On The Night for a long time, and was a bit expensive. I was praying for them to release a reissue and bam, they released this super live collection which includes On The Night, being my favorite performance, as well other fantastic performances. I just bough the LP collection and i'm already excited to receive it. Actually around the black friday of 2021 i bought the LP of Encores(On The Night), but its included on this collection. I just love their music. Thanks Dire Straits and team for the release it's fantastic.
Infelizmente o próprio Knopfler não pensa bem assim e saiu no inicio da década 90s, em carreira-solo. Nada contra, mas a grandiosidade do Dire Straits e toda aquela diversidade sonora é mais interessante que o trabalho solo mais 'intimista' do cara. Agora, o Box anunciado no video acima deve ser excelente, com os albuns ao vivo não apenas remasterizados, mas remixados. Ou seja, o som fica mais próximo dos shows de verdade.
when i was a child, my dad listened to dire straits a lot. always thought it was corny. then i realized how many artists i had been listening to were directly influenced by mark. it sounded "corny" and "generic" because everyone was taking his influences and making music. im 42 and its one of my favorite bands.
