Great educational Vid! You went all in on this one along with the problems involved and how to get around them. Looking forward to the next one!...Subbed.
Not sure if 630 is the same as the 650 but if it is I show in video how to get them off whole carrier has to come out and have to press out at least front and rear axles out to get sprockets off
Hello. I need your help... I only requested 1 seal for each carrier because I thought it was like that, but when I disassembled it, I saw that there were 2, now my question is: can I install the ones on the hydraulic side (high pressure) and leave the same internals? because I'm far away and I don't have more Thanks a lot.
For the amount of work involved if it doesn't work I would get both they go back to back so if they were leaking it will still leak the second seal is to keep chain case oil in chain case
@@iknowyourebrokeauto468 thanks for your help. I will have to order the two from the chain case because I was thinking of leaving them and only changing the first ones, but as you say: "for the amount of work" from Colombia Thank you again.
@@iknowyourebrokeauto468 yes, I already disassembled everything, but I had always seen only one per side, now that I did the same job I found that there were two per side.
Greetings .. first off .thanks your video helped me a lot .. I recently had the same problem .. however am I correct that you mentioned you need to put two seals in instead of the one ?
@jermainebristol7902 did you grease the seals and shaft really well before you put shaft back through them? Even though they have oil next to them they will still get hot when shaft starts spinning in them if they were put together dry.
Hate to say it but the only way it can get in the chain case is from that seal. Improper install, wear on the shaft from the seal, or the carrier is cracked internally.
@@mch5588I'm not to sure on the 250 wheel skid. The T250 I worked on last didn't have a chain case it was a Hydraulic drive to the track sprocket. The S650 in the video only had one seal in the carrier when I took it apart, but dealer said the update called for 2 back to back. I would call the local Bobcat dealer and ask to be sure.
@@MrRyanlipp1980 I'm not sure that's the only machine I've done them on. Your best bet is to call the dealer and have them send you a breakdown of where they are

I know this is an older video, but I am looking at purchasing a bobcat 853 that is doing the same thing. What can I look at budgeting for this repair?
@clinthughes2606 well I gave my friend a deal and did it for $1400. Not sure what a dealer or shop would charge though.
@@iknowyourebrokeauto468 I’m only 6.5 hrs from you 😁 never seen such a clean thorough job.

Hello, my machine is s650 2017 model, it gives kudu to this problem 00097_31 but I don't know what it is, I would appreciate if you could help.
Sorry just seeing this for codes I call the dealership and ask what the codes are
Do you happen to know the torque specs for the 1 1/2 inch shaft bolts
Tight as you can get them with a regular wrench there is no way to fit a torque wrench in there I used blue locktight also
They should be regular threads or are they left hand thread bolts… i tried but they are TIGHTT
@jesusmtz413 yes they are regular thread and tight

Yes the update calls for 2 seals one facing the chain case side and one facing the carrier side back to back
I did this and it still leaks .. not sure what happened .. took it back apart and and both seals damaged...
They were deformed as if extreme pressure was a factor

I thought the carrier seals were done on the outside of the machine. You just take off those side cover plates and you can get to the seals???
How I wish that was true lol
@@iknowyourebrokeauto468 is it possible that it’s true for other models? I have a little bobcat S 70.

Trying. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get a hold of them. Sometimes I feel like my wife knows more than they do.
@MrRyanlipp1980 if you can send me a serial number I can call my guy and find out
What did you use to connect the links. I’m assuming you cut the chain and reconnected it. The video has been a big help
No chain has no links. It's a pain but I had to man handle the big sprocket back onto the axle and have my son rotate the axle to line up with splines

Good job and video, where are you located?
Chapmansboro, TN
How much dealer want to charge you for that job?
It was a friend I did it for. Dealer wanted $125 an hour with 12 hour minimum plus parts. I had 30 hours into it.
