There are pros and cons of each cruise line. Especially now post pandemic where every business in the world is making cutbacks. Cruise lines had a heck of a time getting crew during their restart in 2021 and they are still struggling now, just like a lot of the hospitality sector. The best way is to try something new with an open mind and make the most of it. For example, no one in history has ever gone hungry on a cruise ship. There is always an option. Just ask or look.
This is extremely true Stu! We have definitely noticed the cutbacks since cruising resumed after the pandemic. But we have accepted that things have had to change since those unprecedented times! Every cruise line is better at some things than others, but we personally love having a variety of choice! As you say, if you try something new, embrace every moment and make the most of it! Just 3 weeks to go and then I'm on Azura! Looking forward to this as I'm totally wanting away from Scottish weather. That's not long to wait at all! 😃 Whereabouts are you sailing? P&O is certainly a lot different to MSC, a lot more British in style throughout! Regarding the stealth port costs, we believe the reviewer was referring to the cost of shuttle buses in port, and them not being included in the cruise fare....? Although if you have booked a Select fare instead of Saver, the price of the shuttles should be included in your fare.
I know, but its been a loooooong wait lol (Unlike the MSC one, booked that 1 week before going on that, talk about last minute!) So I'll be starting from Malta, then onto Civitavecchia, Livorno, Villefranche and then onto Corsica. MSC Musica was such an oddball cruise, it had just finished its South American itinerary and all the entertainers were all from that region, fun for the first couple of nights but only so much Samba you can take 😂 So looking forward to a more UK themed for that comparison! I hope they were at least not blaming P&O on the shuttle costs at least, would be unfair. But did notice on Cunard's full fare (when looking at QM2) it said they included them in the price but I did opt for Saver on this one, price difference made it totally worth while 🙂
