It was cool seeing the lake, Thank you for that. With the Toro power shovel I go out early during a storm and take the first maybe 4 is inches and go out again later or once it stops. It is easier and those tools are heavy but it does a great job of it yours does as well. I would just use it in more often during the storm. When the snow is powder it works great. Have fun👋
isn't the lake lovely! the more I use the electric snow shovel the more I love it, it works really well and its much easier like you said if I am going out more often during the storms. thank you for watching!
In 1979 my parents bought a Toro power shovel which was basically the same thing as that but a plug-in. We bought three of them: one for my uncle, one for my grandfather and one for our house. All three of them are still working and since that time I have found several thrown out at the curb. What most people throw them out for is because they make noise. You just take them apart and grease the gear case and then they are quiet. They are good to get into areas where the snowblower cannot.
thanks, its really been helping me clear a lot of snow, im impressed with it- and you are right, it works even better when I dont leave the snow for a week on the deck!
As you mentioned Ego also has a snow shovel. When you buy battery equipment try to stay in one brand so that you have all the same brand batteries and can use them in all the tools. Ego was one of the first with a battery lawn mower which I bought. They subsequently brought out snowblowers, like yours, chain saws, leaf blower, hedge trimmers, etc. I highly recommend Ego. . Consider THE SNOWPLOW " THE ORIGINAL SNOW PUSHER" for the deck. It is a "Made ultra tough with durable (UHMW) Ultra High Molecular Weight" shovel that 'should not' damage your deck. It is great for a few inches of snow. It has a white blade with a yellow handle.
I'm an older woman that couldn't pull the long rope 10 time on my old honda lawnmower so went out and got a plug in electric craftsman till it didn't start anymore so got a ego lawnmower that is so easy for me and sure didn't miss the electric cord to drag around, then I also bought a 650 blower on ebay and all the batteries are interchangeable and charge in about 15 minutes or so. I use the ego to clean porch, blow out from under the fridge, blower light fixtures ceilings, rugs, go crazy with it, best thing I ever bought.
yes, gas products, I can't start them unless they have a push start that is working and its so frustrating. I gave my gas lawnmower away because i could. never start the darn thing. then I discovered battery powered things and they are perfect for me
I do love to visit the UP. Spent several weeks at a time there. But the winter and full time living would be tough for me now that my health is a concern for me, I do love watching your adventures, I miss those in my younger years.
hello, im happy to hear you like watching my adventures. Im having fun filming them and then getting amazing advice from you all, its awesome. aging is not easy, I am sorry you have health concerns and hope you have a wonderful Christmas
hi, isn't meijers amazing, I love the sushi restaurants over on your side and the shopping and the waterfalls and hiking trails. fall colors were amazing too! happy you are here and hope you keep watching and commenting, I love the Ontario side and still have so much to explore there
hi Richard, it is easier if the snow isn't built up yes, but it does snow a lot here and it wont be possible for me to keep things shoveled every 4 inches of snow, sometimes it snows 15 ins in one day and then 20 inches the next, I will be dealing with large amounts of snow but will do my best to clear it, thank you for watching
I sure have shoveled a lot of snow in my life. I enjoyed watching you clear your deck with that battery snow thrower. I was skeptical at first but it did a pretty decent job. I think that would work best on light fluffy snow that has just fallen and didn't have a chance to get ice crust.
hi, you are correct, it takes more effort to clear the heavy icy snow, but it does work, it is a beast in the light snow though, since its portable its really been so helpful, hope you are having a wonderful week, thanks for watching
The fog lights flickering at 05:20 is just the way your camera lens reacts to LED vehicle lights. It's quite common so there's nothing to worry about. They don't flicker if you were to look at them normally.
if you get one let me know, not sure where you are in the UP but there are rebates, I got $200 for mine, just a fyi just in case you get one and there is a rebate out there!
Make yourself a winter car survival kit. Snow shovel, salt or sand mix for traction on ice, kinetic recovery rope, hand warmers, blanket, snacks, water bottle, headlamp, emergency strobe lights, small hand saw to clear snow laden branches, matches or lighter and candles for emergency fire starter.
old woman here still hand shoveling snow in lower Mich but there hasn't been much snow the last few years except for one was heavy snow. That little shovel looks pretty good, I have a big snow blower but can't start it on my own.
I have that problem with gas tools, I had to get a battery lawn mower a few years back because i could never get my gas lawn mower to start. i had to get a push start gas generator for winter and keep the battery inside my house because I know i won't be able to get it to start with the pull start, they are so difficult. the shovel is my favorite tool now for the snow
The Battery Equipment makes sense if you are unable to pull the rope. My snow blower has a plug in electric start, but hardly use it because its fairly easy to start.
this is what worries me about my gas generator, but thankfully my neighbors say they will come over to help if i can't get the push start to work, but that is not ideal. i struggle with the pull cord starts.
I lived in the Munising area. Had a resort. REALLY MISS BEING THERE The snow rake pull down, pusback uo. They are designed to ride up on the snow going GOOD LUCK
hi, munising is beautiful, so cool you had a resort there! thank you for the advice on the rake, you are right, I learned that after my arms were so sore I couldn't keep lifting it
let me now if you end up getting one! if you do i would suggest one that the angle of the snow can be adjusted, on the one I have you can't adjust where the snow goes, but on some others you can. it would be the one thing I would change about the one I bought. but I use it all the time!
Ok,thanks for the info,I will let u know.No snow down here since Saturday and we only got 3 inches maybe.Got maybe that in the woods yet .how much you got up there?
Loosen the snow with a regular shovel then use the Eshovel that would work better I think. In the future, if you use the Eshovel right after it snows it will be much easier. I might buy one for the decks I shovel.
Marie, you might want to invest in a roof rake. The snow on the roof can get very heavy and you don't want roof damage. If it gets heavy enough your roof can collapse.
@@jazziez6467 Wasn't referring to her shed roof. Was referring to her home. That roof does not appear to have the same amount of slope. Plus, the ice hanging from the roof is not good either. That is the other reason I was recommending the roof rake. Ice dams will damage roofing.
hi Charles, you are correct, the roof on my house isn't sloped well in many areas and its has so many ice dams, its going to be a challenge this winter for sure and ice dams are very damaging. i think the roof rake is going to really help and I am waiting on the minnesnowta razor, it seems like it may help me remove snow easier so fingers crossed
on the log cabin and garage (metal roofs) with greater slope, you are right about those, im not having any issues with ice dams and they are doing much better than my house roof, that one is an issue though as its shingled and on the back of the house not much slope at all

Thats a handy power shovel that might make it easier on my back. One more tool for the different types of snow for sure. I always enjoy the lighthouses on our lakes. One of the coolest is at Crisp Point but you would need a snowmobile to get there until at least late May. Theres a sign on the long road through deep woods to it marking where 2 girls got stuck in the snow in the spring. They survived for days eating cookies until someone found them and helped. Always carry snacks on a road trip!😅

There are some nice restaurants in Canada side. I like Freighters Restaurant in downtown US when a ship goes by. Love the fish hatchery beach down from the light house, warm water in Superior because of the stream or river and is beautiful.
I just caught a couple of your videos and like your can do attitude solving problems. Not so sure about those tarps under your vehicles in the garage. I can see possible trip hazards around the edges plus they might be slippery when they are wet. But if they work for you fine. If your garage floor concrete is in good condition (looks like it is) I think I would try one of those epoxy floor coating products. They protect your floor and really look nice too.
they are just a means to an end right now, they work great though for me. an epoxy coating would be nice, maybe next year, I had epoxy in my garage once and it looked nice for a bit and then got all messed up from the cars driving on it and so I have mixed feelings about it
The Bridge to Canada in New York is The thousand Islands Bridge. It crosses the St Lawrence River. When I was a kid my father worked Near the St Lawrence River and we would go down to the locks and watch the big ship coming across the Atlantic ocean headed to the midwest.
Bust through one path in the beggining, then work from that with half scoops when its heavy, you got this, also dont let it all build up,shovel every 4 inches,a lot easier on the back, plus makes it fun not work
So fun.... I sure do miss the UP... It's just magical... It's a full-time job just digging out of the snow... Cool Cats... I recently added a battery powered chainsaw... So much easier to use then gas... Thanks for the smile ✌️
thanks!! I love all your videos, you have an amazing channel! you are right, it is so much work all the time with this snow :) I have a few battery chainsaws too and I love them.
I haven't finished the video, but if you have a push broom then you can likely use that handle for your squeegee. If not, handles are sold at any hardware store.
hi, I got it off amazon, its TruContain brand, something to note, it does protect the garage floor, it can work against you though if you don't wash the salt off the car and mat, so I like it, but there is some additional work involved with it.
You might be able to buy bags of sand where you are or, because you go into Canada, they are available there. Put a couple in car and use as required if you get stuck.
re: your fog lights: Headlights can appear to blink on camera due to a phenomenon called the "strobe effect," which occurs when the camera's frame rate doesn't perfectly match the frequency at which the headlight's light is flickering, often caused by the way modern LED headlights are designed to dim by rapidly switching on and off at a high frequency that the human eye can't perceive, but a camera can capture as a flicker on video; adjusting the camera's frame rate can often mitigate this issue.
Hi Marie. Today, I had a reality check. I went out to do yardwork and it was 46F. After a couple of minutes, I went back in and changed into sweat pants and a flannel shirt. If I may ask, what part of Florida where you in?
Hi Marie not to be a know it all but not sure if you are aware that your vehicle does offer a anti traction control witch is a good feature to have , but when it comes to plow true snow it works against you. To remove this feature there's a button in your dashboard witch has a photo of a car with 2 wiggly lines press on it a light should come on this means the anti traction is dis activated and make it easier the plow true snow just saying Yves from Canada
Hi in Canada! I did not know that I could turn it on and off, the wiggly lines kept coming on while I was stuck. I will turn it off now for driving in the snow. thank you so much!!!
Why not just let the snow melt and drip on the concrete floor, and then use a squeegee to push the water out, then shut the door. Clean the floor properly when it warms up.
And when it gets cold at night, unless your garage is heated, that water will freeze, leaving you with an ice rink. I’ve even seen it freeze so you cannot get your garage door open.
@ agree, I have friends in the south who can’t fathom that if I leave a cold beverage in my vehicle cup holder, it’s still icy days later. It just doesn’t defrost or melt with consistent temps below freezing.
hello, thank you all, you explained it better than i ever would have been able to. I really wish i had a drain and a heated garage. I use a few space heaters to melt some of the snow off the cars when i drive them in, so i can wet vac that up so it doesnt turn to ice on the plastic. its a whole process
Parking your car on a carpet could be a fire hazard if oil or gas leak on it. Also, your exhaust system and catalytic convertor, under the car, gets hot and nothing flammable (like a carpet) should be under a car.
hi Tom, thank you for letting me know about carpet under a car and the dangers associated with that. I don't have carpet under my car, I do have plastic liners to catch the snow and ice/salt, is that what you mean? I don't leave the cars running while they are on the plastic and I let them cool down outside first because I wipe as much of the road salt and sand off them before putting them back in the garage. Its also freezing temps which I think would help. i will keep an eye out for any possible fires because i wasn't aware that would be an issue
@@marieintheUP Well, I do not park a car where there is anything flammable underneath it. As long as I am thinking about this, I would also mention dry grass and leaves. I know we are not speaking of dry grass and leaves but thought came to mind.
I understand and appreciate you letting me know about possible fire hazards. I did check the material just in case and the trucontainment system that I am using is made of Polyvinyl Chloride and is fire retardant so I'm not super worried about a fire. I. hope you have a wonderful day!
@tommak6516 What are you talking about? Vehicles don't spew enough gas and oil to cause any problem. And when has any vehicle leaked even a drop of gas? And who dumps their grass clippings and dry leaves under their vehicle?
@@marieintheUP I've spent a lot of time in the UP and you want serious snow removal equipment. The Yarbo might be able to do the job but you can buy a lot of yard equipment for $5,000. I like my toys., but would rather spend that money on other equipment.

hi, thanks for watching, i do want the winter snow life, we will see if I last this winter, but I am loving it mostly so far. I am starting to understand why my neighbors do say the winter lasts a long time.
Your car lights question: When car lights appear to flash on a camera, it's usually due to a phenomenon called the "stroboscopic effect," where the camera's frame rate doesn't perfectly match the frequency at which the LED lights in the car are pulsing, making the light appear to flicker or flash even though it's essentially constant to the human eye; this is particularly noticeable with modern LED headlights which use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control brightness

I use the ego to clean porch, blow out from under the fridge, blower light fixtures ceilings, rugs, go crazy with it, best thing I ever bought.
yes, gas products, I can't start them unless they have a push start that is working and its so frustrating. I gave my gas lawnmower away because i could. never start the darn thing. then I discovered battery powered things and they are perfect for me
Oh I’m sure you are right! I sometimes use my backpack blower if the snow is not that heavy wet snow ! But you are a hard worker for sure
the backpack blower sounds better! thank you for saying that im a hard worker
Wow clearing the deck is a lot of work …👏👏🇦🇺🦋
Yes, it definitely is!
I think they work better on loose snow than heavy wet snow
for sure, you are right, it is so much faster when it is fresh powder, so now I am trying to stay ahead of it
I do love to visit the UP.
I'm from Sault Ontario :)
I ❤ the American side and
Meijers is my favorite 😊
Glad I came across your channel and look forward to viewing your videos 😊
hi, isn't meijers amazing, I love the sushi restaurants over on your side and the shopping and the waterfalls and hiking trails. fall colors were amazing too! happy you are here and hope you keep watching and commenting, I love the Ontario side and still have so much to explore there
The trick to shoveling snow or even using the electric snow shovel is not let it build up more than 4 inches at a time
hi Richard, it is easier if the snow isn't built up yes, but it does snow a lot here and it wont be possible for me to keep things shoveled every 4 inches of snow, sometimes it snows 15 ins in one day and then 20 inches the next, I will be dealing with large amounts of snow but will do my best to clear it, thank you for watching
Thank you, yeah I had no idea that happens lol I thought oh joy another thing to add to the fix it list
Thinking of getting one myself...Thanks for the "Yooper Level" review!
if you get one let me know, not sure where you are in the UP but there are rebates, I got $200 for mine, just a fyi just in case you get one and there is a rebate out there!
Make yourself a winter car survival kit. Snow shovel, salt or sand mix for traction on ice, kinetic recovery rope, hand warmers, blanket, snacks, water bottle, headlamp, emergency strobe lights, small hand saw to clear snow laden branches, matches or lighter and candles for emergency fire starter.
hi, thank you, I have that kit, will add an electric saw, that is a great idea
old woman here still hand shoveling snow in lower Mich but there hasn't been much snow the last few years except for one was heavy snow.
@@heavymechanic2 mine did too but that feature broke
this is what worries me about my gas generator, but thankfully my neighbors say they will come over to help if i can't get the push start to work, but that is not ideal. i struggle with the pull cord starts.
I lived in the Munising area. Had a resort. REALLY MISS BEING THERE The snow rake pull down, pusback uo. They are designed to ride up on the snow going GOOD LUCK
hi, munising is beautiful, so cool you had a resort there! thank you for the advice on the rake, you are right, I learned that after my arms were so sore I couldn't keep lifting it
I bet it works great on the fresh fallen snow
it works so well when the snow is fresh and not compacted!
That shovel is pretty slick A my have to get me one of thems
let me now if you end up getting one! if you do i would suggest one that the angle of the snow can be adjusted, on the one I have you can't adjust where the snow goes, but on some others you can. it would be the one thing I would change about the one I bought. but I use it all the time!
I have a roof rake and it helps so much
Naahhh, highly unlikely on a well slopped roof
@@jazziez6467 Wasn't referring to her shed roof. Was referring to her home. That roof does not appear to have the same amount of slope. Plus, the ice hanging from the roof is not good either. That is the other reason I was recommending the roof rake. Ice dams will damage roofing.
hi Charles, you are correct, the roof on my house isn't sloped well in many areas and its has so many ice dams, its going to be a challenge this winter for sure and ice dams are very damaging. i think the roof rake is going to really help and I am waiting on the minnesnowta razor, it seems like it may help me remove snow easier so fingers crossed
on the log cabin and garage (metal roofs) with greater slope, you are right about those, im not having any issues with ice dams and they are doing much better than my house roof, that one is an issue though as its shingled and on the back of the house not much slope at all
Snow. The FREE gym.
exactly!
good video :) I see you drive a swedish car, nice :) i work at a company in Sweden that make the palstic part for Volvo :)
Btw, congrats to all your subscribes, its growing fast :)
really! thats so cool, I do love the volvo, it does well in the snow. thank you, it is growing quickly
Yeehaw, that looks like fun!!👍🏼😎
It was such a blast to use!
What a game changer
I live in south eastern Michigan & have friends from New Haven that have a cabin & 40 acres in Ontonagon Michigan
40 acres sounds like my dream!
Always carry snacks on a road trip!😅
hello, it is pretty handy for certain snow removal, I had no idea about that light house, it sounds awesome that you can only get there in the winter by snowmobile and sounds like cookies saved the day, what a cool history of those girls. snacks on a road check = can save my life! adding to my emergency car kit, cookies and dill pickle chips! thanks for sharing!
I have the ego one and it to struggles with the crunchy ice glazed snow but works well on fresh fallen snow and even wet snow
good to know, yeah mine can't deal with any ice chunks but it does great on fresh snow and works on the compacted wet snow too
I was just at that Lighthouse back in September Smokey Bear Walks By Me by that bench by the lake. 😊
Neat electric shovel and car mat. As for your fog lights, the flickering is what your camera is picking up. They're working just fine I'm sure. J & C
hi, that makes more sense, I realize now I didn't see them flickering until I looked at the video, I didn't see the flickering in person. that electric shovel is impressive right! how are you both doing, getting slammed with snow too?
@@marieintheUP Just a little dusting over there. Houghton area was slammed.
Hi Marie! Just catching up with the vlogs I missed. For the short time you've had this vlog going, you are doing really great! Between your taking care of the house/property, your parents and filming, editing and posting on YT, you should be tired. What a great testament to your work ethic and can do spirit! Enjoying and learning from you for my coming move to the U.P. Tonight will be cold in SWFL, 47F. As always, please take the very best of care and say Hi to Scruffy and Violet. Bye!
hi! I do feel like the cold is different in FL, when I lived there, when it got cold I felt like I could feel it in. my bones, it was like a ocean/wet type of cold. different than up here for sure, but still cold. thank you for the compliment, I am doing a lot and YT is making all this snow stuff a lot of fun, the cats say hi! stay warm!
@@marieintheUP After 17 years in Naples, I am one of the very few that will still be wearing shorts and short sleeves. Everyone looks as me if I were insane as they are in long pants and coats. I love to walk in the snow in a pine/evergreen forest and I love to listen to the snow falling at night, the sound is so gentle and soothing.
There are some nice restaurants in Canada side. I like Freighters Restaurant in downtown US when a ship goes by. Love the fish hatchery beach down from the light house, warm water in Superior because of the stream or river and is beautiful.
Thanks for the tips!
They protect your floor and really look nice too.
they are just a means to an end right now, they work great though for me. an epoxy coating would be nice, maybe next year, I had epoxy in my garage once and it looked nice for a bit and then got all messed up from the cars driving on it and so I have mixed feelings about it
New subscriber..good luck with 24-25 winter.
The Bridge to Canada in New York is The thousand Islands Bridge. It crosses the St Lawrence River. When I was a kid my father worked Near the St Lawrence River and we would go down to the locks and watch the big ship coming across the Atlantic ocean headed to the midwest.
love that!! the ships are very impressive
Bust through one path in the beggining, then work from that with half scoops when its heavy, you got this, also dont let it all build up,shovel every 4 inches,a lot easier on the back, plus makes it fun not work
it is a lot easier you are right thank you!
Power shovels are super nice work good you are doin awesome I yopperise ya you are a yooper
:) I appreciate that!
@newtotheUPMarie you're welcome
Your lights are fine, the camera does that due to the frame rate and makes them look like they are blinking. I think LED lights are worse.
I am so glad you mentioned that, I was concerned that I needed to change the lights or something
Look, the U.P of michigan is rough in the Winter, but all wheel drive is needed, I have a place in Waters, mi ,My honda HRV is all wheel drive!
nice, I have a vehicle with awd thankfully and am driving that now, its great yours is awd. my next vehicle will be 4x4
I haven't finished the video, but if you have a push broom then you can likely use that handle for your squeegee. If not, handles are sold at any hardware store.
hi, yep I can get a handle at a hardware store, thanks!
Hello, where did you get that car garage matt to catch the snow and ice? what brand is it? just what i need. thanks !
hi, I got it off amazon, its TruContain brand, something to note, it does protect the garage floor, it can work against you though if you don't wash the salt off the car and mat, so I like it, but there is some additional work involved with it.
You might be able to buy bags of sand where you are or, because you go into Canada, they are available there. Put a couple in car and use as required if you get stuck.
yeah, I recently learned that there is free sand here, like I just have to go into town and get it and that is so cool!
That seemed like a lot of work great job though
too much work, but its much easier when its not that deep snow. still easier than plain old snow shoveling. thanks for your comment
re: your fog lights: Headlights can appear to blink on camera due to a phenomenon called the "strobe effect," which occurs when the camera's frame rate doesn't perfectly match the frequency at which the headlight's light is flickering, often caused by the way modern LED headlights are designed to dim by rapidly switching on and off at a high frequency that the human eye can't perceive, but a camera can capture as a flicker on video; adjusting the camera's frame rate can often mitigate this issue.
thank you for letting me know that there is something I can do to fix it showing up like that when I am recording with my phone
Ohhhhhh. I was wondering what that was. 😮 Thanks!
I was just wondering, how long does it take to recharge the battery once it dies?
hi bill, about 1 hour, but I have a back up battery in case I need to keep using it once I drain the first battery
@@marieintheUP Very good.
Hi Marie. Today, I had a reality check. I went out to do yardwork and it was 46F. After a couple of minutes, I went back in and changed into sweat pants and a flannel shirt. If I may ask, what part of Florida where you in?
I was in the tampa bay area for 10 years, loved it! I am sure it is a lot different now, that was 7 years ago. that wet cold in FL, its different!
@@marieintheUP Well, turn it off when you're going to go through heavy snow for short periods of time or when you're stuck.
good video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I am new here, you seem to have a great attitude. Stay Blessed!
Welcome! So happy you are here, thank you, I’m trying to just laugh at myself though this experience since I have so much to learn
I love the u p do you like to fish and hunting I love all the snow it so beautiful out there
I like fishing, I find it very peaceful being on the water, you into fishing?
❤
You’re welcome but I saw your driveway video and now this one so just speaking the truth!
You have to build the right rig snow
Why not just let the snow melt and drip on the concrete floor, and then use a squeegee to push the water out, then shut the door. Clean the floor properly when it warms up.
With the melting snow you get road sand and salt, which can damage the concrete..
@@marieintheUP north west Michigan, I had several trench drains cut into my old garage floor, very helpful.
I think an ordinary snow shovel would be less work.
interesting take, make a video showing both please and then I will take your thought into consideration, thank you for watching!
My electric snow shovel is not EGO but was more for smaller snows. Your snow would not handle my electric snow shovel.
GFL bin .... my boys. I work for GFL in Canada.
You almost need a yarbo robot snowblower. Or at least a RC truck with a snowplow. Than you can stay inside and remote controlly remove the snow.
I was looking at the yarbo's yesterday, it would be nice to be able to just sit inside
@@marieintheUP I've spent a lot of time in the UP and you want serious snow removal equipment. The Yarbo might be able to do the job but you can buy a lot of yard equipment for $5,000. I like my toys., but would rather spend that money on other equipment.
❤❤❤
Hello marie. If your looking for a good all around tire. Michelim cross climate is the best all weather tire. Watch laying plastic down under a salty car. Your car will rust out faster trapping moisture. Would you like to go ice skating somtime?
hi, I have Michelin cross climate currently which i like, thank you for letting me know about the plastic, i have been cleaning my car when I get home each time but im bummed that you are right about the plastic trapping moisture
Hello again marie. I use the plastic on the floor to store my classic trucks but they stay out of the weather
I would never plow my driveway I can drive in and out, I have been playing in snow for 45 years deep stuff
that sounds amazing! im not there yet but maybe someday
Be careful up there cougars and wolves
yep, i think i heard a wolf the other night, It wasn't a dog or a coyote. I ran inside real quick lol. I hope to never see either up close or at all.

i have an ego snow blower, its wonderful!
@@marieintheUP I saw your video last night! They also make a great chainsaw.
if you use salt it will crack the concrete i don't think you want that
I do not want cracked concrete you’re right I haven’t used salt but they do salt the roads and then I track it in on my cars
my mom was born and raised in Wisconsin that's what they do back there is salt the roads and everybody's vehicles back there get rust on them because of the salt from the snow

Your car lights question:
When car lights appear to flash on a camera, it's usually due to a phenomenon called the "stroboscopic effect," where the camera's frame rate doesn't perfectly match the frequency at which the LED lights in the car are pulsing, making the light appear to flicker or flash even though it's essentially constant to the human eye; this is particularly noticeable with modern LED headlights which use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control brightness
