It's so nice to see a video about sharehouses! I stayed in 3 during my 4 years in Osaka and they each had their own charm. My favourite was the women's only house (highly recommend C's share!) because it was central, modern and minimal and we had cleaners come twice a week :) it was mostly Japanese with a few foreigners, so a nice mix
Sharehouses look like a great cost effective way to live in a city like Tokyo. Thanks for showing us what they look like! They all look very clean and neat. Those cakes look yummy 😋! Can't wait to see which Sharehouse you will choose.
I think so too. There are cheap apartments in Tokyo, but they are probably pretty old etc. The share houses looked nice, yes! But I will know more about living in a share house after I moved. The big reveal will probably be coming, shortly after I moved 😊
Thanks for the great video as usual Tina. It's nice that you are saving so much money. The sharehouse looks great and the are encompassing it looks cozy too. Waiting for your share house tour. The views on the last one was awesome
Thank you! There will probably be a lot more moving vlogs. I'm working on the second one rn and than considering what's ahead of me .. 😅 I hope I can film everything bc it's also going to be a stressful time. But I'm excited to share it with everyone ✨
These sharehouses all look good, but what really caught my eye working in a library were the stairs with the book print in the first house you went to, how cool is that at 2:34 ^_^
Glad you enjoy my videos :) I think there will be many more to come. I'm working on a second one atm and then the moving itself, and showing you the new place etc. :) I just hope I can do all of it at the same time xD Filming while moving is a new challenge. Haha.
@Tokyo Diaries That's great! I'm really looking forward to your videos on the moving process and the new place. 😃 I have absolutely zero experience with Japanese share houses, so that's very interesting. Do you know whether there is a minimum rental period for these share houses? I mean, do you think that they could be an option for short-term visitors to Japan? 🤔
@@miriamk.5644 They are a short term option, yes. Idk about other companies, but mine does usually 5 months contracts. If you stay less, they simply change the payment. But if you're in Japan for less than a month, a hostel/hotel/airbnb etc might be better. But you can always send emails to share houses and ask. 😊✨
@Tokyo Diaries Thanks for your reply! You're probably right, a hostel / hotel, etc. might probably be a better choice for a shorter stay in Japan. Right now, I'm thinking about a 3 month trip to Japan since, unfortunately, it isn't possible to get a visa for a longer period of time. It's gonna be my first trip to Japan. 😃
@@miriamk.5644 For three months you could theoretically move into share house. But I would compare prices and see what's best. 😊 Hope you find sth nice!
How exciting. Once you’ve lived in your own place, you know what to look for in your next home. You’re looking fantastic, Tina. Enjoy life to the full. 🥰
Hi 👋 the first one looked cool 😎. Your last 3 videos have been brilliant in terms of the confidence and style you are clearly getting more of for yourself, its lovely to see the changes in yourself and it clearly shows in the videos.
I have mixed thoughts on share houses, even never lived once in my life, but they are affordable. (I would prefer to live in either a village house or an apartment alone.) Overall, I think the first one looks comfortable. Good luck on your moving, Miss Tina.
Awesome! Thank you for your video. I will be moving to Japan in August for a year for my masters degree I plan to stay in a sharehouse. I’ve been doing research and it’s soo many to choose from lol. Hope you like the one you choose. 😊
To be honest I thought that the first one would be a good choice for you. As you said it had a lot of space and storage space and those cute library stairs. I can't wait to see which one you will choose. In what month will you be moving? I wish you all the best ^^
Hi Tina, I just found your video very helpful for me as I am in consideration looking for share houses in Tokyo. May you mentions what websites did you use to find your accomodations? Thanks!
Na mal sehen für was du dich entschieden hast. So spannend 😁
Ich wollte es eigentlich im naechsten Video zeigen, aber es wird leider erst das übernächste! Ich hätte weniger filmen können 😅 Es kommen jetzt noch ca 3 moving vlogs denke ich. Aber dann bin ich fertig.
Most places in Tokyo are not soundproof. If you want a soundproof place you will need to pay a lot! I knew a girl studying music who was in a soundproof share house. Regarding the vlogging, it's simply not ok to walk around with a camera in a house where other people live. Except everyone is fine with it.
@@tinahuegel thank you so much for replying! would you be able to give me a general idea of how much the train costs just to go down a few stops? I'm currently working in my home country to save up so that I can go to a language school in Japan yet I'm concerned about the cost of trains to get there and back
@@moonbunny7380 Usually it's not that expensive if it's just a few stops. But if you have to go every day / 5 days a week it ads up. When you know which school you go to, maybe ask your school for advice. You can usually get discounted tickets for 1 route for e.g. 3 monts / 6 monghs etc. But before you do that, maybe ask your school. Maybe they provide help in any way or can tell you which ticket is the best. Usually schools / universities help exchange student with this kind of stuff. :)

Right? I loved that too. It's not a typical Japanese house/ share house. It looks a little European imo, incl the book print. 😊✨

Those share houses are so tidy, can definitely see benefit to being in one over in Japan vs other countries.

I just googled share houses, asked friends and then looked up the respective website of the companies I found. :)
What website did you use to find these ?
I think I just googled "share house". You just look on google for companies and use their website.

They have their own website. I asked friends for recommendations and then searched on google

Das ist schon teuer. Viele Apartments sind auch schlecht isoliert. Ich dachte unsere 6000 JPY für 70 m² und 2 Personen sind schon viel im Winter
