Great explanation! Now I get what it is that Palintir does. At the opposite end of explanations, I looked at one of Alex Karp's interviews (ruclips.net/video/hjjHdys2Ph4/видео.html) and was absolutely shocked at his poor communication skills.
I've been looking into Palantir and found it quite difficult to understand. Thanks for the in depth easy to understand analysis. I appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Thanks a lot 😀
Data is the new oil and we are producing Mega data every minute Main st, Wall st and so on... That being said PLTR will dominate the DATA business just give it time just like Google dominated the search platforms... HODL my stocks for a long time!
Not sold on the individual business, Google and Amazon won't cede that turf without a huge fight. Managing data security and permission risk for all types of commercial clients looks challenging, so scalability is an issue. As for small businesses, I thought square already does that with predictive analytics that saves the owners time with building and testing models. So the government sector is the only one they can corner, but no sane nation will want a company with uncle Sam as the biggest client to play in their back yard. But, the us government sector is a huge market, if Palantir can dominate this I still think it will grow very big.
Great video, as always. Very informative. Though one part left me scratching my head: You didn't really explain why you would trust Palantir with your personal data. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I mostly associate Palantir with government surveillance. But I'll admit, I don't know much about them (much more now, though, after watching your vid:)
As a causal observer and previously researched Palantir I feel that I didn't have to do the research if I had waited for your report. :-) As the tide lifts all boats the new architecture and increased connectivity will definitely accelerate Palantirs growth... Thank you
I watched an hour long podcast on palantir yesterday. (Recorded prior to that) the guest on Palantir Vision Channel said he was a friend of yours and hoped you'd make a video on Palantir. Well low and behold you did! And I have to say (while that podcast was interesting and informative) this is the most comprehensive, understandable breakdown I have EVER seen of WHY and HOW palantir has so much potential. Tom Nash is bullish and talks about their market potential and what he expects in growth and does wonderful DCFs on it. But this is next level info. I loved when you were doing the daily premarket live shows but when you put time in effort into videos like this the value is truly off the charts. Thanks so much. I am going right now to become a Patron (Long Long overdue)
Hey thanks so much for the kind words. Yeah, I had to sacrifice the live streams to really focus on these videos. It was a tough call so I'm glad you're seeing the upside of it! I'll have to get in touch with Tom Nash so we can combine forces and put out great Palantir content!

I love your information about PLTR I am agree with you PLTR is a great company I bought the share at 8$ to bad I didn't bought more but this stock market is so crazy if the went down again I will happy to buy more PLTR share
Dude.. I really appreciate you laying out all of this. I am going to sound so damn smart at the watercooler on Monday. Found you through the PLTR SPACs video you did... subscribed
I have been trying to make my Palantir position work for it's got to be a year now. I don't know who's shorting it, but no matter what happens they can't get that stock off the ground for anything.
Question: have you seen and used the product? Concept/Vision is 100% spot on. But I have yet to find ANYONE who has used the product(s) and can attest to the benefits. Should this not be a qualitative check box when investing?
This is a great concept. Only this that worry people is the privacy informtion that people are willing to share them or not. It seems that the information share may not be wish by consumers. Big companies are willing to pay for these information. But consumer on the other hands does want privacy. Sharing business model to your competitors is not a good idea. This is also the bad side of sharing models to others.
Fun fact: MANY companies in the USA are STILL, about 30 years after it became MAINSTREAM in Europe: LACKING CRM AND/OR GOOD CRM solutions as well as MANY companies are so NOT up to speed on Marketing SaaS in general - so bad on DATA, sure, they're GIANT gaps to fill across the board.
The thing to remember about Pltr, is they do not care about placating investors or the media. This will change over time, as they learn to be a public company. Their philosophy is deliver results and let that speak for itself. After all, they are life takers and heart breakers (Ark).
Also, data cleansing is a bitch….most companies are a mess when it comes to data and that in and of itself is quite an undertaking. I work with these systems and companies are g-n-shy about upgrading or changing systems…its a nightmare ….sorry, i just needed to add this.
Amazing video, as always! Thanks! Please, more on Palantir! It's a great company with probably great future. Usually people, who are interesting in ARK are also listening to Chamath. There are few companies they both support: Tesla, Opendoor technologies, Desktop Metal... Would be nice to see a video on both last, especially on Desktop Metal.
That would have happened years ago. I was invited to a job interview with them ten years ago. Palantir, it should be said, is indirectly connected to Cambridge Analytica, and was started with the pharmaceutical and medical industry. It is basically a data aggregator and correlator. If it were that valuable, it would have reached trillion valuation already. There is something that prevents it from breaking out.
You already see the pressure on privacy concerns with Apple/Facebook/Google - and this is just basic browsing behavior. I can't see people willing to give up more of their privacy to have Palantir track their every single digital footprint. Good idea, but I don't see people knowingly/willingly do that.
This company is insane i love it, its like finding a google or apple or some shit when its still at a low low steal cost super obvious this company will take off MASSIVELY.

Thanks Alex. When you explain what Plantir does, you sound eloquent and professional. When I try to explain what Plantir does to my friends, I sound like Homer Simpson who had too much duff beer.
I think what holds back it's stock price is the investments it's making in start ups that have very little or no revenue. That clearly is a long term play so I don't see the price rising much for a long while. Accumulation time if you feel this stock will be a huge winner in the long run. I do have a small position in my portfolio.
I suspect there is a carefully thought out plan going on there. Something along the lines of Palantir using its sofware to build these small start-ups into giants and benefit from the process. Karp is no fool.
when i was freshmen in university (with no money), i sourgrape that google stock price was then $100 and it was too late to get in. im not going to let that happen this time around with PLTR. I'm sitting my ass off this stock until i get to 70 years old.
