This is tremendous🎉🎉🎉
You're amazing FilmCore
I sure won’t!
I'd say it looks like the pre-rendered cutscene from a high-budget modern video game version of Avatar. At that budgets, I'd say that's a compliment.
to be fair the original movie and now the sequel look like high budget video game cut scene as well😄

As a 3D animator who went to University and I'm still learning a lot about 3D modeling and animation, what you did in 4 months, you did an amazing job! It's okay to cheat if it saves you time and gives you better results.
I don't know of an industry around it doesn't do a bit of cheating here and there to get things done
Check look at Star wars (ep4 original) with the death Star trench run & made it out of a bunch of battleship models from
That's what I'm currently learning. Cheating... isn't cheating. Like, making everything yourself is just a waste of time and makes the final product worse.
I was making my own trees forever. A friend convinced me to just buy some trees. They look about the same quality... but I can get like ten variations that would have taken me... I don't even know how many hours to make.

Why does everyone always comment this? You realise he makes more money with this youtube channel than he ever would working in VFX? Unless you're a top top tier VFX artist you don't earn anywhere near as much as he does, and he isn't a top top tier VFX artist.
Obviously it doesn't look like an high budget produced film done by a whole team. For what it is , its an incredible result. Also, the ending was absolutely hilarious.

This is proof that you can do this all by yourself. I'm somehow motivated, but also frustrated at how much time it takes. Respect to you.
It also shows that you cant at the same time. Look at the original quality Avatar made, it shows that going from being great to being extremely great takes more than just a person's efforts.
@@vk69525 this. I hate when people say you can do it by yourself. Listen the tech is there budget wise but no matter how good you are at doing everything yourself there's people better at certain things always. It's like folks get caught it in the I can do it myself ego and skip the fact you're trying to make amazing art. Even something simple as rendering this with an online render farm would save days of your life. Nonetheless I do think Hollywood is legitimately terrified as it's only a matter of time til their hold on the industry is inept
@@MrArtVein Indeed. If i have not seen the comparison, what this guy did is actually super good. Everything seems perfect, the lighting the texture or the ray tracing everything. Until you see the original again and realize, wow they made something so much better than what we thought was perfect enough. The realism is mindblowing.
Don’t worry you’ll learn patience. Also id recommend working on a couple projects at once, when you get bored of one you can switch to another.
@@MrArtVein . "Nonetheless I do think Hollywood is legitimately terrified as it's only a matter of time til their hold on the industry is inept" I don't even know what this means, but it's hilarious....
Watching it again and again - still laughing 😂😂😂
Amazingly captured and convincing Neytiri's character reaction when she hits Jake (that hiss especially 😂😂).
The motivation it takes to do this alone blows my mind. Like doing this solo over months with a ton of expenses and limited time. Its so inspiring to see. Damn son.
Honestly considering you did this. A one man unit vs a entire crew of film editors and vis effects artists. In 4 months. This was really good man I applaud 👏
Agreed. The range of skills involved alone is impressive.
I could praise the realism, the animation, the effects, the editing... but what impresses me is your ability to combine all that, and give us that dose of humor in the final edition...

Considering that you're not a team of 1000 people with hollywood funding, I'd say you're literally a one-man-cgi-army on your own. Having done 3D graphics for 20+ years myself, I know how much work goes into just 10 percent of what you did, so yeah - mindblowingly well done!
I think group behind avatar had to also create the tools used. It really doesn't take as much resources when the tools are readily available.
Ending was hilarious, also its really good looking result, James cameraom should hire you to save bucks he spent for this money lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wow. The fact that you were able to get such a great result from your personal computer, all by yourself, is incredibly impressive!

All in all, the clip that FilmCore created genuinely looks like something you'd see in a videogame trailer which makes sense because of that UE5 look. Definitely not as good as Avatar's official vfx but still professional and impressive work.
Gotta give ya credit for being able just to take as far as you did.... All that rigging, textures, modeling, lighting and not to mention importing and exporting from one program to another is truly impressive! Great twist of a iconic scene.

Dude this is mindblowing. Honestly, while the animation might not look as realistic as the movie, the lighting is WAY better IMO.
Honestly, it's insane you've done this yourself, the end result may not be at the original movie's level, but the difference is almost negligible. I would 1000% pay to watch a full length version of this in a heart beat. Imagine if you were a 10 people team at that level of productivity, just crazy!

I am fully blown away. You are insanely talented! As an aspiring 3D artist I really love seeing people push limits like this. LOVELY work
WHAT??? I was NOT expecting it to turn out this amazing. It looks incredible.
Why did I not find you any time sooner, because that’s what I call talent and a real plot twist. Man if you didn’t say that ‘wasn’t’ the real Avatar I would have just watched it & thought it was glitched. Skipped to another video & just continued watching 😂.
You have 11 missed calls from James Cameron.
God, now I feel so much more intimidated than I already did about learning all this stuff. I've already flunked one of my major game design classes because it's just so much to learn, so fast.
Great job with your work! Even for being over budget, and past deadline, it turned out really good for a more or less homebrew project comparing itself to such a giant in the field.
i thought the finished product was damn good but it really gives me appreciation for how good the cg in avatar was
It looks amazing. The only things I would have done differently is make the scene a bit darker to make it look more mysterious like in the original and what was going on with Jakes tail in the end?
