      There was a big clean hip check were pk nailed him at the blueline . That one I think was at the bell centre 2010 I think. Not the playoffs . That hit sums up his career as a hab , he could elevate his game . Too bad the league and organization was so conservative then

      I was in the car with my girlfriend when I heard about it on the radio. I had a Chernobyl-level meltdown. My now ex-girlfriend still talks about it today. Although it turned out being a "good trade" because PK really slowed down after a few seasons, I still say MB had no way of knowing that would happen and thus it was a dumb trade. No one will ever convince me otherwise!

    • @cecaju9516

      As much as I liked him, it’s obvious that he took up too much air in the room. It was all about PK all the time. Great for the fans, awful for team cohesion. Bergevin did a lot of things that are worthy of criticism, but trading PK for Shea Weber wasn’t one of them.

    • @hoserfella
      @hoserfella 9 дней назад

      Subban was not a good teammate. Had no sense of self-awareness in never shutting up, and as much as I loathed Therrien, he was right in calling out his "individualiste" me-first instincts. Trading him for Weber was robbery.

    I see the McDavid thing a different way. I think being the captain of that team he felt it necessary to be with his team while they came to terms with the loss. To me that makes the most sense. His first priority was his teammates.

    Absolutely embarrassing how Mtl the org treated PK at every turn.
    Grinding him on the bridge deal. No early extension after the Norris, another Norris nom and still fighting on the contract.
    No love ever. And Molson let it all happen. We know the slime Bergevin / Therrien are but Molson I’ll never respect. Family money never earned anything just a bozo.

      Subban played his best hockey under Therrien. Unless you were in the locker room, how do you know how we was treated? Nashville trade him. Jersey didn’t resign him. Before he retired, he was a free agent and no team gave him a contract. Not even a one year deal.
