Thank you for the readathon❤ I'm joining several reading challenges for 2025. I probably won't complete them all but I'm happy to try😊Nice excuse to read🙂
Just joined the Storygraph challenge and Facebook group. 🙂 I'll probably be able to complete the challenge with manga, but I'm a rather slow reader when it comes to novels and non-fiction... so we shall see how that goes!
@@the52bookclub ta. I'm already starting to add various books to some of the categories, both non-fiction and fiction... ones that are easy for me to fill. 🙂
I found your group a couple of months ago and wanted to make sure I started the 2025 challenge with you. I look forward to some great reading next year!
This question has been asked of me, because I read about 75 books a year. The answer is: I am reading fast and I read everywhere. I don't have a car and read while commuting. I read when walking to the Store. I read waiting in line. I read before bedtime. When out for a cup of Coffee with a friend, I read when the friend goes to the bathroom. I read while waiting in line. I read in the bathtub. I read while brushing my teeth. I think it's not about time. It's about your Brain wiring. Does reading relax you and give you energy, then you will do it, like others scroll on their Phone. If it takes focus and energy, you will have trouble to "find the time".
I wasn’t sure if I could do it this year, but I did finish! I always had one physical book going for myself, one (or two) I was reading aloud to my kids, one I was recording for the blind, and one I was listening to on Audible. I listen while I am driving, folding laundry, etc. sometimes I intentionally selected short books to fill a prompt. Middle grade books work great for this-and I have a 10 and 8 year old, but I read this genre for my own pleasure as well!
@@i.b.640I assume you mean “listening” to audio books in a lot of the mentioned examples? Nothing wrong with that but I’d suggest calling it what it is: listening. Since they are two very different activities.
@@wowkir Sorry to disapoint you, but when I write 'read', I mean read. I pull out a book or an e-reader and read a page or two. Edit: I actually have a hard time concentrating on audio books. I need more energy for it than for reading. It's what I meant with 'It comes down to brainwiring'
Enjoyed this video and really want to take part, so i have made a channel especially to track my experiences :) Not only the main challenges looking forwards to the mini ones too. Are we getting something like the Agatha Christie one ? or is that still ongoing?
Hi! Good question. We make videos periodically talking about our main challenge and several mini challenges, but we're most active in our Facebook group, on goodreads, Storygraph, and Instagram. We do sell our journals and stickers but they are just optional add ons. Happy reading!
I never end up finishing challenges because I have to read so many specific books for work but I love your prompts! Good Luck everyone!!
I totally understand, but good luck with your work reads!
@@the52bookclub Thank you!

I tried the 2024 challenge with my sister. It was fun to read new things, but I don't know how anyone has enough free time to read a book a week.
That's totally ok! As long as you're reading, you're doing great.

Αlready selecting books for each category. It's a surprisingly time consuming task.
