@@callmesxege1878 I was correcting post which stated cpu in series x was more powerful than in series s. They use same CPU.
Absolutely no reason for The Series S to be having issues on pubg right now. You can run The Series S at 1440p 120fps no problem. Now all the sudden my graphics look worse on pubg than when I was playing on an OG Xbox One ????

Thanks for the explanation, was hard to tell the difference from the two options when i checked last night but you found a good way to highlight the pros and cons. Pleased with the upgrades on visuals, so much nicer, also with bad eyesight even with a 70” projector screen. Got my first solo win it was such an improvement!

Temporal Anti Aliasing (TAA) should be on all PS4/Ps5 games.
It literally makes them look polished and beautiful.

They needed an update for this for a long time. I totally agree with your explanation of TAA. I couldn't stand the blurry shimmering. It was bullshit.
I knew taa looked smoother, man I love this update to the graphics, soo dam clean and smooth, I'm addicted to pubg all over again!

QHD + TAA cured my eye cancer ive got from 2 years playing pubg in 1080p on the PS5 😁 took them only 2 years to release a simple resolution/anti aliasing patch 🤓

Erangel is still my favourite map. No idea if I'm in the minority or not I just love the original well original but reworked map . Unfortunately it doesn't come around on the map rotation no where near enough for me . I have to play Miramar 8 times in a row first oddly 😠😂😂 cheers

I'm playing on PS5 and Still sometimes when I look down a scope buildings aren't rendered in . It's such an immersion breaker at times . Is this because it's an old ass engine . Wish they’d drag themselves into 2022 and make a PUBG 2 and bring the franchise up to date cheers

FXAA looks and feels best for me on ps5
I'm on ps5 using the new taa and haven't noticed the slowdown around smoke grenades. I'm playing on a 1080p TV though so maybe that's why? Overall though I'm surprised how much better it looks even on my eight year old TV. Hope they can sort out any slowdown issues soon as we are all used to a solid 60fps now 👍.
I'm on same set up.as you PS5 but my tv is only.a couple of years old. I do that shimmering a bit and keep thinking bushes are players on the horizon 😂 also on Deston an enemy threw a smoke grenade during 1v1 end game and I went into it to drop c4 and he nailed me . Looking at the kill cam the smoke for him was translucent ( sunny day ) and he could see me where for me it was thick smoke 😠. I was pissed because it.cost me a chicken 😂. Anyone else had this ? Cheers
Playing on monitor and tv are big différents. Monitor is so much better.
@@bjornvancompernolle3103 I know most competitive players use monitors but I don't take the game that seriously. I am happy with my TV and if I upgrade it will be to a better TV.
Speaking of tv or monitors I'm in the process of buying one of them so far I'm tv wise I'm thinking the tcl 6 series or Sony x85j not sure on a monitor still reserching them probably lean towards an 4k tv
@@lukenardoni2454 ye i understand but u need to know that ps5 en new Xbox are more like computers and the tv cant handle those frames and so not so good as a monitor thats made for gaming. If I play pubg on my Sony xh95 tv it plays shit when i compare it with my 1080 160€ screen. 😅.
TAA looks better but it's not worth it imo. FXAA after the update looks better than it did before anyways I'm happy enough with that
I’ve been waiting for this update since the game dropped for consoles. Pubg is an amazing games but I’m a graphics type of guy I just don’t like playing on my Xbox and look like I’m playing a ps2 game 😑.. thanks for the update #PUBG
Unfortunately it's rendering at 4k on series x whether your monitor is at 4k or not. Would be better to be able to choose desired resolution, or at least have dynamic resolution scaling to maintain 60fps, but nice update anyway.
DRS would be a great solution, I wonder why they have gone with a locked 4k.

Thanks daddy. I came prepared to smoke the enemies on the Battlegrounds via the O12, but now I can smoke them with smoke grenades and kill their frames 👺

Not sure if it had anything to do with me being on TAA at the time but at one point near the end of a match my frames dropped severely like way below 30fps for a few seconds until I stopped in a corner for a bit then it went back to normal. Could have just been a bug or something but would be curious to know if anyone else has experienced this since the update.

Yea he mentioned that on TAA when a lot of people are in one area it drops frames or when walking into smoke but that’s understandable hopefully it gets fixed been waiting for this update since game came out lol
Taa is best for ps5 sharp image and no fps drop smooth

Because the PS5 runs with 1440p/60fps. The Series X with 4K/60 :)

What's up with the 3rd person camera they definitely minimized FOV and there is no option to change it .. is this a bug or was it a choice for them to make
didn't notice a change.
I must admit I thought something similar a little while ago. Like it felt the camera was a bit closer to your character than usual.

I run a 1440p on the series x, I forget the HZ rate of my monitor. I always tell people that having a new monitor is great but not necessary for PUBG on console. Better for other series X optimized games and PC. That being said, I have been enjoying the new graphics update on console with my monitor.

I have a Samsung 27" 1440p monitor. I think anything that's 1440p is solid nowadays!
Seems like with TAA frame rates drop bad during fights...
I have a Series X as well but to be honest... I can't see a difference. Maybe it's my monitor? The new update looks incredibly crisp and runs very well so I think i'll just stick to default like I usually do. Hasn't failed me yet!
I switched Yesterday to TAA on my ps5 and the difference for me is incredible. Playing on LG GX
This is absolute crap on my Series S. My graphics were fine until this last update. Now my buildings don’t render in at close distance. It’s even worse than what I was seeing on my OG Xbox before I got an SSD. I lose players and vehicles after they get out at certain distances.
No excuse for this crap when people are getting better graphics than me on an Xbox OneX. The Series S is capable of running at 1440p 120fps. I shouldn’t be having issues running pubg on it
Xbox Series S, is just an updated One S.
Xbox Series X, is a updated One X.
Either way both S's are crap in terms of Resolution.
The X's have far better resolution and can reach up to 4k.

No not really. About the same. Series S has been more stable with fps in my experience. My Xbox one x with internal SSD upgrade performed very well with this game. Had both consoles set to frame rate priority on a 1080p TV. The series S felt smoother. In my opinion the series S is a better choice for this game. Not so much for other games like Halo infinite actually look alot better on xb one x.

Be happy to get 1080p/60.
60 fps plays much smoother than 30 fps
Series S GPU is the bottleneck, less powerful than Xbox One X and Series X
Series X runs PUBG at an internal rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160. If you're on a 1440p monitor, you're just getting a super sampled image. Playstation handles it differently and also does not support a 1440p monitor if I remember correctly.

Your TV/monitor has to support it. You're gonna need a TV/monitor with at least 120hz. Then you simply switch it on your Xbox settings.
Ps: I need to manually turn off "allow 4k" from the settings to be able to run 1440p/120hz properly

It's worth noting that you'll only get 4k 60fps via HDMI 2.1
Not sure about that one. 4k60 is very doable via HDMI 2.0 4K120 is definitely only HDMI 2.1 or Display port 1.4

will never understand why people would play pubg on a console if you got a ps5 you can prob afford a gaming pc that will do the job 500 times better then any consle they make
Idk why I’m answering this because the answer is fairly clear but I will anyways. People can pay 300-500 dollars to play on console when PCs easily go over 1000 dollars. Also, some people are used to playing with a controller so that’s what they prefer.
I hate my gaming PC, get so uncomfortable on mouse and keyboard. Plus I grew up on consoles so il never be as good on PC as I am with a pad
