  • Join me on my wall around the village of Youlgreave, Derbyshire. This beautiful village has some stories to tell, and some interesting features and buildings to look at. You will see how the water was supplied to the village, and to some extent, still is today.
In this video, you will see what is reputably the smallest detached house in the world, Thimble Cottage. Surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Youlgreave is a wonderful place to explore and visit.

Thx Roland. Nice to see the details on this community. Rather tough to walk on that narrow footpath. Wonder what cyclists do?

Nice to hear from you. The drivers in the majority are very used to the narrowness of the road. There’s the odd maniac who doesn’t think about other road users. It’s a popular route with cyclists so they have to be wary of oncoming traffic.

      @@rolandstravelsPetrol prices seem high?

@@anderson49anders that’s typical of a rural petrol station. About £1.35 litre in big towns. More for higher octane/E5.
