Ok, so this is based on "A Little Sacrifice" from Sapkowski's short stories compilation - Sword of Destiny (fourth story), wich is is an incredibly cleverly and brilliantly written story that is not only a form of homage to Hans Chrisitan Andersen's classic fairy tale (but with a twist) but is also a very cleverly presented conflict between two races (social classes) who are all different but united by love (which is not boundless, quite like in life) and on top of that introduces one of the most interesting characters in the witcher universe - Essi Daven (Little Eye). I literally just listened to that story the other day on audiobook (they are amazing, btw, give them a shot if you haven't, listening to Geralt sing-talking to Sh'eenaz is hilarious), but I can't remember every detail. Edit - never mind, I just rewatched the trailer and I noticed quite a few differences myself.

The Voice acting of geralt seems kinda off when he gets louder. Could also be just my perception because i think i never heard him speak in a louder tone in the TW3

A mutant with incredibly fast reflexes for a human is a normal person with a bit of magic?, Animation looks clean and the have the game's VA!??!?! Nah this is about to shit on the live action stuff
It's funny how much of a difference direction and audio mixing makes, some of Doug's deliveries sound different from what I'd expect them would be in a CDPR game. There is also age to factor but it felt more like artistic difference.

@@CipherRage0909 Thank god for that.
@@monikaknolton3440 We already had a netflixed witcher, we dont need an amazoned one.
Man, Skellige in Witcher 3 would have been so much cooler if we had monsters like these waiting in the open ocean to attack us. Witcher 3 is still an awesome game but seeing this makes me think of what could have been.
Well, there's always Witcher 4
Doug Cockle's voice + Henry cavill's character model? Netflix finally firgured it out
i can see henry resembles
Netflix should be banned on making anything related to Witcher.
This was a surprise but an absolutely welcome one
Doug Cockle and Joey Batey together is always lovely to see
Looks cool, I like it
The movie looks amazing
Doug seems to have taken his Geralt voice to another level.
0:36 why she is speaking in the voice of Mickey Mouse?😭
Doug as Geralt and sea stuff being explored more than I've ever heard of in the witcher which is just a goldmine, I'm so in
1:25 Jawskier
First time I hear Gerald yelling, I LOVE IT
Man first for the first time😅
Unless they fired all the clowns behind writing of Witcher show and got someone who actually cares for the books, there no point in watching this.
WE NEED YENNIFER!! Or is she isn’t here hope this Geralt cause I’m going here in a blind eye
she's not in this story
Yennefer has nothing to do with this story
"Geralt facing sirens in the depths-this trailer gave me chills! Just like mastering a monster hunt, I’ve mastered making 1m+ online through e-commerce. Every legend starts with a bold step."
Geralt looks more like Legolas.
Geralt be one shotting the big seamonster underwater with his crossbow
Man, do way more of this, and way less of the live action show
It’s so good to have the actual voice actor that plays him. Welcome back sir.
dough cockle has lost the perfect angry geralt voice
it's a bit coarse
witcher 3 definitely had better voice direction
Aging tends to do that.
@@Evilshtt353 yeah it's kinda sad but him just returning gives me enough pleasure
He looks like Henry Cavill. ❤
The same face and Same sound
Liking the new Animated Trailer, One question did someone forget to draw his iconic face scar ? Or will it be added when the show airs
WOw this new Castelvania is amazing
probably the same animation team
With Doug Cockle. Siiiiic.
It makes me so happy to hear Doug Cockle as Geralt again 🥹
Ironically Geralt looks like Cavill, jawline and all. With Cockle in there, this is a no brainer.
Close to my modded W3 with Cavills face /likeness and Cockles badass delivery
The Voice acting of geralt seems kinda off when he gets louder.
Could also be just my perception because i think i never heard him speak in a louder tone in the TW3
The disrespect for Henry Cavill has terminated your franchise......
picking that tentacle shot was a smart move. editor kinda a genius
Getting the voice for Geralt was a baller move
netflix really just milking this franchise and it’s really sad for really good IP
Doug Cockle! I'm so happy to hear him again as Geralt! :D
I am so happy Doug Cockle is doing the voice
I just started getting into the books and games! It’s a good day to be a Witcher fan!!
"People keep asking if I'm back .. Yea, I'm thinking I'm back!"
Doug's back!
Will Lauren Hissrich be ruining this version as well?
Of course
Geralt after bursting into a monster den:
Looking for a partner. Wouldn't mind a round of Gwent.
I am so used to hear Doug Cockle as Geralt, i actually realized when i saw comments.
I think this is better than the live action series. They can especially have insane creative freedom with those animations. A mutant with incredibly fast reflexes for a human is a normal person with a bit of magic?, Animation looks clean and the have the game's VA!??!?! Nah this is about to shit on the live action stuff
Surprised our nerdy sir Henry Cavill didn’t fight to be the voice actor for Geralt
Netflix needs to give up on Witcher. They've already done enough damage to the IP as it is.
another chance to destroy Gerald as a character.
looks like Henry, sounds like Geralt. neat
Doug still got it. Listen to those pipes!
So happy to hear Doug Cockle back, I hope they pull this off!
Take one of the most romantic stories of the whole Witcher series and turn it into an action packed anime. Well done, Netflix, you've done it again.
Anyone else think Geralt looks like Zaheer from Legend of Korra?
Netflix should reboot the live action show and do it all in this animation style.
Right, it would probably cost less and they have more than enough. Just needs the right story telling, here's to hoping.
It's funny how much of a difference direction and audio mixing makes, some of Doug's deliveries sound different from what I'd expect them would be in a CDPR game. There is also age to factor but it felt more like artistic difference.
I hate how Netflix keeps turning The Witcher into this generic fantasy action slop.
Ayra Stark: Oysters, clams and cockles
Geralt: One Doug Cockle.
The actual voice.. hell yea
