I’ve seen people complain about the animation, but I enjoy this approach. The action style from this trailer fits the tone of the series. It’s not choppy animation and it isnt being replaced with still-frames. There is still some great animated sequences here. The unrealistic aspects of the action can have short-cuts while still fitting the tone and stil working in conjunction with the rest of the animation. It also looks like there is room to add to the animation budget if it takes off because there still a mix of animation styles. It doesn’t look like it would be out of place to animate with a better framerate.
I think most people wanted a more loser style so they could have more freedom with the fight animation but it still looks pretty decent and in the first couple of chapters there's not too many fights

I think when there is a serious fight in Sakamoto Days, they’ll likely give it the respect it deserves. We’re all pretty spoiled by stuff like Dandadan, Chainsaw Man, Mob Psycho, etc. But there is a place for this type of animation.
