It is simply an art style, most people don't whine over how in olden times people used to make statues that were a little bit too revealing. But people do however make a huge deal out of an art style of small waists, or unrealistic eyes. Does it really matter though? The fact that someone likes to draw things in a different way. Look at Leonardo DaVinci, his art was above his time. And other artists were teased and mock because of their views on art. Let's make sure not to take things too seriously when referring to a cartoon. Because it is simply an art style. I mean look at little kid drawings they dry everyone that stick figures, either that or really big circles. 😆
one of the reasons I loved anastasia was because she was one of the few animated "princesses" that had a realistic figure. To be frank the most extreme body types have always been Disney. Independent animation studios and other studios seem to have cottoned on to the fact, that extreme is kinda yuck. I'm not a fan of the concept art expanding the wastes but that is because it was poorly done. You can't just draw lines and fill it in to make a realistic figure, there is a bit more to it then that.

I don’t like the concept made in the video that because of what some of these princesses experienced that it makes any hardships we face less significant or not as bad, that is simply not the case as I’m sure those with anxiety and depressed have suffered more than sleeping beauty has. Aurora sleeps through half of the movie and has to be saved by her Prince Charming, just as most of the other princesses do. Us, real life normal people on the other a hand, do not have a handsome prince just waiting to sweep us off our feet and save us from what struggles we may face, so don’t make that kind of comparison when there are so many people out there who have to face the world alone.
