I’m so glad RUclips allows everyone everywhere to have access to the music. I’m going to suggest Neither One of Us by Gladys Knight. There are no singers like this anymore. The Queen.

These are all three brothers born in the UK. Bee Gees (brothers Gibb). The middle one is Barry, the oldest. They wrote all of their own songs. The ones on each end are twins, Robyn and Maurice. Barry, the surviving brother lives in Miami Florida to his wife of over 50 years.
The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. All 4 brothers are just natural musical talents. All of them dropped out of high school in their early teens and none of them could read or write music. All their compositions were created completely organically. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ruclips.net/video/7niXSh7vWRI/видео.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ruclips.net/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/видео.html. Falsetto is the name of the male singing style. Staying Alive is about surviving the times. This is as exciting as it was when first written. Bee Gees were the best!
Great reaction and you have some great chair dancing moves! I love this song. The lyrics are heavy! "Feel the city breaking and everybody's shaking , were staying alive, staying!" It is the anthem for struggling through hard times & staying positive. I love this song!!❤
BeeGees have a very distinct sound. Their voices are unique and harmonies were off the charts. They all have incredible vocal range. They wrote and sang over a thousand songs and never had a bad song ever. They are three brothers Barry the eldest in the middle and Robin and Mo were twins. Robin clean shaven and Mo with the beard. Unfortunately the twins are no longer with us and Barry is now 76 years old. Their music will live on forever. You need all 3 together to get the complete BeeGees sound. They all took turns at lead at different times. When Mo passed away in 2003 the Beegees effectively retired. Barry and Robin still performed solo occassionally until Robin passed in 2012. Their younger brother Andy who passed away very young just as he was about to join the BeeGees was also a solo artist. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 30.
The Bee Gees are on a level all their own. The three brother all had fantastic voices but when they harmonized together they were magic. Please react to another amazing song LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT from their 1979 Spirits Having Flown Album with Barry awesome falsetto and those out of this world harmonies, thank you. ❤❤❤
Just found you today , I hit the sub right away! If you find a way to go back, please take me with you. Best times of my life, disco 🕺 💃dancing all night at the clubs. Bee Gees ruled. If you will please react to "More than a woman". It is more of Barry's falsetto. Met my husband at a disco and it was our song. Played it our wedding reception.🍷🍾💘
@@renep2220 Well now you're making me jealous. So you are telling me that you was young in the golden age of music and found love with it??? Imma go sleep and dream about it hahahaha

I LOVE The Bee Gees! They have a song “How Deep is Your Love” and it’s my favorite song by them! And the way the song starts with all their harmonies is the best intro to a song that I’ve ever heard! Eminem, The Bee Gees, you’re listening to my favorite artists and they aren’t even in the same genre! Lol Oh and they so have a song “Too Much Heaven” is also an amazing song by them. Awesome reactions 👍
This song is used to teach CPR. The beat is perfect for chest compression timing and how fitting is that “Staying Alive”. I saw an interview recently with Barry where this was talked about.
Your reactions to these brothers is priceless. I can't wait for your next one. You have five decades of mind blowing Bee Gees songs to look forward to.
I agree. The 70s and 80s were the platinum days for music. Bands and singers with true talent. Auto tune didn’t even exist. I feel so blessed to have been born in 1970 and to have been able to experience this music when it was all new, and everywhere, and grow up during what I consider the zenith of the world.
The beat of this song was matched to Barry's heartbeat. CPR requires 100 chest compressions per minute and this songs beat is used in many CPR classes because it's 100 beats per minute. Pretty amazing that these brothers incorporated that into a song so it could potentially save a life.
It's purely an ironic coincidence that the song's beat is appropriate for CPR. They didn't incorporate anything when they wrote it and it had nothing to do with Barry's heartbeat. 100 is the upper max of a resting heartbeat and I doubt that his was that high.
@@Zlata1313 I saw an interview with the brothers where they themselves said they measured Barry's heartbeat for this song. His heartbeat was 103 beats per minute. You might want to do more research before you correct someone.
"Too much heaven" next and here's another recommendation Hall and Oates "Sara smile" "She's gone" "Rich girl" "Kiss on my list" "You make my dreams" "Private eyes" "I can't go for that" "Maneater" "One on one"

This song is one of five Bee Gees songs in the soundtrack for the movie “Saturday Night Fever”, staring a very young John Travolta. Like the film, the song is about much more than dancing and having a good time. It deals with struggle and aspiration; making your way in the world even after you've been kicked around. John Travolta's character in the movie is a young man working a dead-end job who feels alienated by his parents. Dancing is his form of expression, and weekends are his time to let loose. You might enjoy seeing how the song was used in the opening scene of the moving playing Stayin’ Alive with John Travolta strutting down the street in NYC. ruclips.net/video/XfwQ_7xqO7Y/видео.html When asked the meaning of the song, Robin Gibb commented that the lyrics are “actually quite… serious”. The lyrics are based on the struggle to survive in New York City. This not only applies to the singer himself but also ‘brothers’ and ‘mothers’, i.e., the many people trying to ‘stay alive’, as in make ends meet in the Big Apple. Considering that ‘the city breaks and shakes people’, the implication is that doing so is not an easy task. In the second verse of the song, the guy talks about being “a dancing man”. Dancing takes away his problems. To add another layer of depth to the meaning of “Stayin’ Alive”, the song’s beat is based on the human heartbeat, coming in around 120 beats per minute. In 2013 the American Heart Association shared that in the case of an emergency involving an unresponsive person, perform chest compressions to the beat of the song.
This is disco. It’s from a movie Saturday night fever. They have some many hits to count. I would go back. The music today is terrible. I’m 55 so I remember.
