Like you, Stefan Mischook and Brad Traversy are still having high esteem for PHP. I tried Laravel last year, it was cool. I am not a web developer, I have been in AI since 2015 but I like to hear developers as yourself and others. Thank you for your videos.
AI is definitely the place to be. It can be done with PHP but it’s not the best for it. Python is definitely better for AI. Uncle Stef and Brad are both awesome, I’ve been following them both for years. Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks 🙏 I’ve challenged myself to upload a video daily and to keep it related to programming. The challenge is a month long effort with a goal to better understand how to create quality content. Trying different formats. I appreciate the support 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for the video. I was unsure whether to focus on learning PHP for freelancing or jobs this year because of the fear of wasting time, and your argument about people still developing sites/projects with WordPress convinced me.
Very informative content. I have a question I planning to take a career in wordpress development but I dont know which path should I take. Should I neglect on learning custom classic theme and plugin develpment like learning html, css, js, php and mysql, or should I go with page builders like elementor, etc? I read a lot that you can become a wordpress developer without learning coding, I was hook with that idea so I jump in and and start messing with page builders. Is it worthy to learn Custom Classic Theme and Plugin Development or should I rely on page builders? I hope I can get an answer. Thank you.
Regarding job posts, some languages require a CS degree. For example Java. For PHP this is not the case. I wonder what is the case with COBOL, and Rust, since you mentioned them. Thanks for the vids and keep it up!
Yeah, typically a CS degree is sought after, but over the past few years, companies have been loosening their requirements as long as an applicant can demonstrate competency and experience. I can’t speak for Java cause it’s not my area of expertise, but for languages like PHP, Python, JavaScript and others, a CS degree isn’t a hard line requirement. As for COBOL and RUST, I’m sure a CS degree is probably highly recommended considering the type of institutions that would need that kind of work. I guess maybe the closer to the hardware your code runs, the more likely a CS degree will be needed. Maybe not a hard fact, but the curve probably rises in that direction. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🙏
Don't understand all the critical programmers out there on PHP. Been an incredible language for years! Very flexible and easy to use. Gave birth to the dynamic web.
@@nx82 I'm usedto be php dev but not dev for so long . now I think should I keep using php8 or going to other language like nodejs or not? I want to know your idea why 8.3 is a killer? is it better than node.js yet? I worried about memory, cpu load too much and how to scale it.
It's a good general purpose language for the OSS space. But i can't see myself using PHP after go myself, it's just easier and faster with go than with php.
After wordpress gutenberg react js blocks, what you think about classic wordpress plugin and theme development? Please create a video on it, if you like, Thank You
When you start extending functionality of Gutenberg blocks using extra plugins, it starts to become sluggish. I prefer custom theme development without using Gutenberg, when I am not using a page builder.
i guess framework of PHP is blasting laravel is hot bed and will be hotbed for next 25 decades php explictylt uses php_exec which executes system level scripts

PHP will be relevant as long as the browser exists, it is always a good choice!
My whole video summed up in one sentence 😂 Thanks for watching 🙏🙏🙏
And even then when browsers gonna die we will use PHP in servers 😂😂😂
But PHP does not depend on browsers
@@papa_ethan yes, it browsers depend on PHP

I'm building a large project, my first proper project, with PHP.

All the RUclips nerds: “Php is dying”
Me: for the past 30 years ?
😅make it made sense
I wonder how one would run a serious dynamic webstack without php as a backend?
Any non static websites not using any php out there?
PHP 8.3 is a killer. I know, I make magic with it.

PHP is, in fact 6 moth older than Javascript and 5 years younger than Python...

What's php used for Out of web ?
WORDPRESS! 👍 😊
i love php #Laravel
I used to think PHP was great, but then I discovered JavaScript and Node.js, and now I realize how much better they are.
Some people hate PHP, some hate JavaScript, others hate C++, Python etc. Then what do they like? 😂
There is literally no replacement for PHP, a back end language made just for web development.
huh ? There are many. One is Python FastAPI/Uvicorn/Jinja ..no Apache needed.
I think if 50% use WordPress then php is number 1
