Fantastic cylinder love this song very clear and crisp loud .Troupee
She had such a unique voice. I can't help but wonder what Ada would've sounded like in person.
These cylinders always sound clearer than the old acoustic 78 records of the day do in my opinion; marvelous quality for a 1912 recording!!
How very pretty her voice is.
Very good sound quality for a 1912 acoustic recording, even the wording is clear. Thanks for posting.
You are partly correct, over at Edison they were called the Premier Quartet and also with the wonderful Mr. Billy Murray as the lead Tenor of the group.
Love Ada's voice it's so cute.
She was born in england so im guessing it originates from there
Fantastic, a welcome change for me to hear her😀
We used to listen to this and other cylinders plus 12" records while cowering in our cellar during the beginning of the ware, getting showered by whitewash. We gave up after a bit and just watched the doodle-bugs, still playing anytrhing available! Thanks.
Sounds like your motor is much quieter then mine. The V is a nice machine and the auto stop works great. May I suggest that you look at the anti flutter pins. They are easy to miss and are located on the left side of the fly wheel. It sounds as though they are broken or missing. With those installed properly the flutter will go away entirly. I have about 50hrs of time spent on 2 different Vs so if you need help just ask.
Best version of this song, always thought the others ended way to soon.
the anti flutter pins are there, not broken and appear to be in good shape. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks very much for the comment and the suggestion. I will take a look at those flutter pins and see if they are missing or broken.
Never heard of this version by Ada Jones. It is nice. I love the music player.
amazing! a fave
of of mine.
Billy Murray's in there too.
1912? sounds pretty good for mechanical amplification : ) thanks for sharing
Very nice. Thanks
Thank you sir for your kind remarks. Gotta love those unique and special Amberola V's, the only Edison table model with an automatic stop. Ada and Billy sure do sound great on that machine!!
My mom loves this song
OH! This is so sweet! Do I hear Billy Murray as a background singer among the other singers??
Bobby Roy that is true
I LOVE IT!!!
Bobby Roy this is my latest video what's your opinion on it

That sure is Billy Murray!
She may have also recorded it on a Columbia disc (in addition to the Columbia (Peerless on Victor) Quartette version. Thanks!
Pinstripe, the video game, by Thomas Brush brought me here!
yea just finished seeing jacksepticeye's stream
I just finished watching it on youtube XD
Same
This recording is 100 years old this year!
it's seems that the American Quartet (Premier Quartet on Edison) recorded with Ada on this Cylinder
@EnerG15 Yes you are correct. This is Blue Amberol #1521. Thank you for watching.
Victrolaman
Could you re-record and upload this song? I'd like to hear it in better quality.
I Love Lucy! 😃
Great Amberola
Does the amberola IV have the piviot joint that connects the horn to the reproducer or does the horn just move with the reroducer? If your machine has the pivit joint you might be able to put in an edison adaptor ring and use a model H reproducer so you can play wax amberols, but still it won't play 2 minute records.
Thanks
Please explain what a flutter pin is. I always thought that there was just a flywheel under the rounded cover that would prevent flutter.
Thanks
The original "Moon - June - Spoon"! Thanks for this.
Will frequent play wear out the cylinder? I try not to play my acoustic 78's too much on my Victor. Do you have the cylinder version, if there is one, of Ada singing "My Pony Boy"? I have her Victor disc, but think she also made a recording for Edison (?).
It is moon- spoon - croon - tune- moon - june
incredible¡¡¡, was she the first pop singer?
No, Sorry it is not for Sale. The only way I might part with this Gem, is if I happen to acquire a duplicate. Thanks for watching.
Is this for sale on ebay?
What is the date of this recording?
Why did they call it Amberola? It always makes me think of te stone named amber:-)
F A N T A S T I C !!!
imagine sitting in your cabin minding your own business aboard the titanic..this is what reproduced music sounded like to anyone who had wax cylinders and a recorder in their cabin....
I have an Amberola IV that looks much like that, but without an automatic shutoff. It's my real workhorse for 4 minute amberol cylinders. Too bad I can't play my wax on them....I have to use my Edison Standard 2/4 minute machine that is not as robust.
this song is wery wery good and wery wery nice.Or?
Yes, OKAY
Can you make it stop?
Kind of makes rappers look stupid doesn't it?
+Icarus Airways ... what an ignorant generalization. There's no room in art for dogmatists. Writing off entire genres of music is regressive. There are tons of young people who are missing out on great music because they refuse to listen to "dated" music from bygone zeitgeists, and their are older folk who refuse to explore new music and to live forever in a nostalgic comfort zone, and both are cultural cancer.
How dare you express your opinion. There is room for only one view in the modern world.
