Dave Grohl is very talented, and an all around humble, grateful nice guy. He’s got this real sincere, down to Earth way about himself. I’ve never been to a Foo Fighters live show, but all you need to do is watch any of tens/hundreds of their live concert videos and that personality comes right to the surface. For the concert goer, I could imagine him saying to the whole band, “guys these folks paid a lot of good, hard earned money to see us tonight, let’s give them every penny’s worth, ...with interest!”
Tony DeGregorio When the foo fighters first came out, I thought Dave was an obsessive control freak. He basically recorded all the tracks solo, and let the band play live. Which i couldnt understand. But Its all about creative control. and being obsessive. Fast forward quite a few years, and Ive come around.

Highly recommend getting the audiobook, because Dave narrates it and I can only imagine it would completely ruin reading it manually. We're the same age and have some similar experiences and I just love his spirit and attitude in life. Fan forever.
Yes. Normally I would opt for the old fashioned way of reading it, but the way he narrates it is so much better of an experience than I would have had reading it on the pages.
I was impressed by the way his guitarist played the slide guitar licks at the end. It's hard to pull off on a regular guitar but he did it convincingly
sound like the original album? wtf this version is more like foo fighters cover, even guitar roles are played as in the ff cover. some arrangements are like the cover, and most of the little groove feel changes are like in the cover, not as they are presented in the album. this sound better, paul's band sound better than the original recordings.
He is. Dave, , Krist Novoselic, and Courtney Love drove halfway across Dallas during the last Nirvana tour just to show up for my band's soundcheck, talked to us for a little while, until they had to leave to get back to the arena. This is one of my favorite Dave Grohl performances of all time! Such a fun stomping version! And Dave looks so rad in his suit with his Pelham Blue Gibson. I just love this.
He sings well and nails every drum part with absolute precision. Thats why he's playing with Paul McCartney. He's definitely not just an average drummer.
There's a lot of people that dont realise, if it wasn't for the Beatles, we wouldn't have a lot of the musicians we have today. Kudos for Dave Grohl keeping it alive!
Dave absolutely nails this song. And Paul's band are as amazing as ever. Love the fact Paul's had the same line up of brilliant musicians all these years.
After reading David’s book Storyteller, watching this performance, and reassessing the entirety of the Foo Fighters’ music catalogue, I’ve come to the realization that Dave Grohl is a God and legend in the rock world and his genius, which is currently underrated, will likely be recognized to the fullest extent years from now long after he’s done playing music. Not many other artists have had a career like Dave’s. He’s given us so many classics. Not to mention that he single-handedly recorded the entirety of FF’s first album within a year from Kurt’s passing, playing every instrument on the album and wasn’t pretentious enough to go in as a “solo artist”. Fucking cool.
Have always been a 70’s rock fan and I love love music so have to find some new bands I like (all my favs are dying), recently discovered Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Nirvana. They aren’t spring chickens, but much younger than Dylan. First I had heard about him was when he was playing the Bee Gees for Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas City outside one of their concerts in the back of a truck.
You should check out his biography that he just released about a month ago, such a good read! And he goes into detail about this performance as well as his time in Nirvana and Scream.
Now then, Dave definitely delivered those powerful vocals of a young McCartney with all due respect! Hair dancing and power/skill full performanc👌 the drummer is just fantastic 👌
I had the pleasure of seeing Sir Paul a few years ago in Boston at Fenway. His band was amazing! The drummer is one of the most wonderfully animated people you will ever see play an instrument.
