I was doing so well with fusha but we had so many palestinian refugees come to my institute recently for english classes so I started taking shami dialect lessons again and feel guilty about neglecting the arabic of the quran. But at least I am helping these people. No one else knows arabic where i work.
7:33 Imam Ash-Shaafi’ mentioned the following in regards to the ruling on learning the Arabic language in his book Ar-Risalah: It is binding upon every Muslim to learn the Arabic language to the best of his capabilities, so he can bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and he can recite the book of Allah, say the different adhkaar that have been made obligatory upon him from the takbeer, the tasbeeh, the tasha’hud, and other forms of adhkaar.
Ustaadh many of the scholars of the past would never think that there would be a time where we will have a Muslim community that doesn’t understand this language , that’s the giving khutbas in Arabic was an issue because they never expected a time for a people that don’t know the Arabic language , Wallahulmustuaaan
Weird… I live in Egypt for 15 years and “mashy” is almost the same as in Yemen, only that you say it also to mean “ok”. I have no clue where this concept in the video came from.
Maybe today it’s the best country to study Arabic considering how inexpensive it is to live there and the massive options of schools and teachers there are in Cairo/Nasr City. Allah knows best.
