They said the ready animation is coded to only happen at a certain point in Nene's normal idle so it doesn't interrupt it in a weird looking way, and during the animation she blinks at random times. Love how much attention to detail this week has in it!
I think why people are having trouble is because of no ghost tapping maybe. In the mods you could spam notes here in the original if you spam you lose life

B sides was a mod, chat was just calling the erect remixes that as a comparison (though b sides did get an update since last time you played it that adds week 7 and remakes weeks 1 and 2)
It got delayed due to leakers. There’s going to be more consistent updates. This update wasn’t small considering they did the whole engine for the game and added erect remixes and nightmare mode too.
