basic lore summary for FNF:
The Boyfriend (Blue-Haired Kid) wants to get freaky on a friday night with The Girlfriend (Red Dress Girl)
Week 1 is about Daddy Dearest, a literal Demon and retired rockstar, trying to stop you.
Chronologically, Week 3 is next. Pico (Green Shirt Ginger), Newgrounds icon and the ex-BF of BF, is hired by Daddy Dearest to kill BF. This does not go according to plan.
Then comes Week 4, where Mommy Mearest must take matters into her own hands and murder the BF. Again, does not go according to plan.
Week 2 involves BF and GF giving out treats to trick-or-treaters. Skid and Pump (Skeleton and Pumpkin duo) from SrPelo's "Spooky Month" series show up, wanting GF as the treat. By the end, it's revealed that they were simply being tricked by a Monster (Totally Not Lemon Demon), who really wants to eat the GF. In, like, a cannibalism way.
Then comes Week 5, and it's Christmas! BF and GF wanna go see Mall Santa, but Daddy and Mommy have held him hostage just for fun! So, BF carols with them a little, before The Monster comes back for revenge.
In Week 6, Daddy Dearest decides to trap BF and GF in a dating game -- one that houses yet another victim of Daddy Dearest, known only as The Spirit (Red Floaty Fucker). However, BF must rap against the ever-arrogant Senpai (Pretty Anime Boy) in order to _meet_ this Spirit.
Week 7 follows BF and GF, who have fallen off of a plane and landed in a war zone as yet another attempt from Daddy and Mommy to kill the Boyfriend off. Sergeant John Captain, better known as Tankman (Mr. Newgrounds Himself), decides it'd be fun to rap battle against BF before killing him and GF. But before he gets that chance, GF does some fucked-up demon shit. At least, she's _about_ to. Pico jumps in to interrupt, slaughtering an onslaught of Tankmen while BF and Captain rap their hearts out.
Then, of course, WeekEnd 1. Pico's friends from the hit 1999 Flash game "Pico's School" and fellow assassins Nene (Knife-Wielder) and Darnell (Known Pyromaniac) are, understandably, pissed at him for never getting their money from Daddy Dearest. So, of course, they want to kill him. After this brief scuffle, they return to their usual friendliness with each other.
Ahhhh I see! So when they say “getting freaky on a Friday night” during the menu music, it actually has meaning XD. The story is a lot more rated R compared to the art style😭 It all makes a lot more sense now, thank you for filling me in fam!!

25:00 If you're confused about what happened here, you might have pressed the R key which triggers a game over while moving your mic. I don't know why the feature exists, but it was probably a testing feature that the devs forgot to remove.

There's an "Erect" difficulty in Freeplay, which remixes most of the Story Mode songs to make them harder (get it? Erect? Lol). There's also a higher difficulty for the remixes called "Nightmare".
Oh nah erect is crazy💀💀but I’ll definitely check that out in the future when I improve a lil more!!

Some remixes went HARD but some of em are just eh.
@@Samythecoolkid I think the only "eh" ones are Philly Nice Erect (cuz Imma be honest, the remix didn't change much, and I didn't really like the song to begin with) and Thorns (I think the original mix sounds better).
@@Samythecoolkid I just want to say that if you liked the regular songs, there is an upgrade. Remixes are not immediately better, but I like what they did there.

HOT tip: I know it'll be hard to get used to, but play with 2 hands, bro. Either W-A in the left and UParrow RIGHTarrow in the right, or DF -JK. You're surprisingly good at this game for playing one handed, if you practiced with two, I'm sure you could beat any song. And you'll need to if you're doing the Erect remixes in freeplay that people are talking about here. (Def play those!)

If you were wondering about the joke Tankman made at 59:18 , it was about Pico's origins. He didn't come from FNF. He came from this flash game in 1999 called "Pico's School". It's pretty violent (it revolves around Pico saving his school from shooters by being a shooter) so if you play it be careful

also smth that might make the game easier is if you use your left index + middle finger on the 'a' and 's' keys and your right index + middle finger on the up and right arrow keys, it helps a lot since it like divides the notes between your two hands
You can change keybinds since mods became a thing.

A'ight, so to fill you in on the story of this game you play as Boyfriend, (the blue haired midget,) who is trying to date Girlfriend, (the one on the speakers and yes those are their actual names.) GF's parents Daddy Dearest who is a demon rockstar (Week 1,) and Mommy Meerest, (Week 4,) are trying to stop him dating their daughter by getting others to battle him through song. Also, the girl in Weekend is someone completely different called Nene I think? Part of Pico's gang from Newgrounds along with Darnel.

A tip to make the arrows easier to do is by changing settings to dfjk and yeah

Actually, playing the game with two hands is easier than playing with one. You use your right pink/ring finger on the right arrow key, the right hand middle finger on the up arrow key, the right index finger for the down key, and your left middle finger/left index finger for the left key it’ll be more easier. That’s what I do. It’s up to you though :)

Im not even gonna lie bro, you're actually decent at the game for being somewhat of a beginner, im assuming you're playing with either the arrow keys mainly or WASD which are both the ones i started with.
If you plan to play more of this game tho, i'd recommend playing with both hands (u can either do A, S, up, down, or change your controls to sum like A, S, K, L, or sumthin like the order of the arrows from left to right) it helps alot!
But man u remind me of when i barely started to get better at the game, and when I went on autopilot it was the most hype thing EVER (& lowkey still is)

Left arrow- D
Down arrow-F
Up arrow-J
Right arrow-K
Put two fingers in D and F and the other two fingers of your right hand in J and K, hope it helps Brother
