It's heartwarming to hear you feel like you've found your audience. I've been here for a few years at this point, I had never listened to ASMR before your favourite books video. It's your measured speaking that I enjoy as background whilst I work, especially since my job moved to working from home and I just like to have someone nattering or tinkering away whilst I get on with my own stuff
Sarah the answer to the talking question is to always talk when you feel like it! It maybe be a bit vague of an answer but when you feel like rambling ramble away when you want to be a bit quiet do that as well. ASMR videos mainly depend on the audiences moods and most of the time we pick what videos to watch based off that. So, when we want to watch a video with rambling we will click that and vice versa. I found it fun hearing you talk about your past profession and how you struggled with watching ASMR, it was very brave of you to admit that and I just want to thank you for trusting us this much! Plus, your niche is the best type of asmr for me cause it doesn’t only help me fall asleep but it also calms me down during anxiety attacks and for that I am forever grateful

I think whispers (chit-chat or otherwise) & face touches are the main reasons I watch your videos. Even your chit-chat whispers are really skillful & measured. I watch you specifically because you whisper a lot! It’s very soothing. It makes me feel like there is someone keeping me company but your whispers don’t make me focus on them, they can kinda go fuzzy and let me tune out and go to sleep.
I think you should continue to talk more in your videos, you have such a beautiful voice that is very addicting and soothing. It makes me happy every time I get to hear it in your vids.

Sarah, I found it funny that you used to compare yourself to other ASMRtists. I follow well over 200 ASMR and/or Reiki channels and I truly consider you to be one of the very best. And you can chit-chat all you want, your gentle voice is still my favorite trigger. I love your “rambling” conversations; you create a wonderful, friendly, and safe environment, like talking to a friend. You keep doing what you love, ‘cause we love it, too. 🫶🏼 Namaste P.S. dog person or cat person…I have both so I can’t choose (I have parrots, too, so I’m a bit of an animal crazy old lady 😊).
Please don't stop talking and chit chatting! Your voice is a huge part in your videos, if not the "best" part. I think its safe to say most of us love your chatting/rambling in videos! Speaking for myself I find your voice so soothing and pleasant to listen to. When your talking its like the equivalent of getting to wrap up in a warm blanket on a cold/snowy day, relaxing as hell! Just keep doing what your doing cuz the content is fantastic Sarah.

You have so many kind & deserved comments as your type of asmr just hits differently than others i dont get tingles from any asmr but in all your videos there is this warm very relaxed & content feeling, which is extremly helpful after stressful days. speaking of content ive been watching your old videos from the start of your asmr journey and in one you did some match triggers and the matches were rubbish and kept on going out straight away. It would be good to see similar but with insense sticks instead. Thank you for helping me so much with life with all your videos
One of the reasons I love your ASMR so much is for your whispering voice, it’s one of the best out there! I’m totally the same I find personally if ASMR is just sounds it’s almost not distracting enough for me and my mind wanders too much, you get a great balance between making me engaged but not so alert that I’m not sleepy 🫶🏻

Omg the bug searching, the tape measuring, the little light eye tests, face touching, plucking, hair cutting? and any hypnosis stuff are truly magical tingles for me. I don’t think what you offer (niche) is as important as how you offer it, so finding a niche is not nearly as important as the how you deliver the same or similar product as the over 500,000 ASMRtists on over 500,000 ASMR channels on RUclips do. Common ASMR triggers, such as tapping, mic brushing, etc., are undifferentiable from one ASMRtist to the next. There are several ways in which you differentiate yourself from other ASMRtists. One is how open and transparent you are with your subscribers. Since following you over the past 3 years, I probably know more about you than some of my neighbours. You make subscribers feel safe, warm and appreciated in a dangerous, cold, and indifferent world. Don’t change how you deliver your ASMR because it is not the niche you found but people finding you. Love how you do it. 💜💜

But to answer your question, a healthy mix between talking and non-talking is perfect, but it's also entirely subjective depending on what I'm using the ASMR for. I love your whisper (and soft spoken), Sarah, so I don't mind when you are chatty because it puts me right to sleep/relaxes me and you talk about some personable and interesting things that make it feel like we've been friends that are catching up.

the 3dio is my favourite mic and i’m so glad you use it! so many asmrtists don’t use the 3dio anymore and i know there are better quality mics but i don’t think anything can beat the fake ear tapping sounds tbh ❤

I gotta say, I've been watching and rewatching the background ASMR video from a few weeks ago over and over!! The parts in Spanish mean so much to me -- I would love to see more videos with long sections in Spanish like that ❤ (or whole videos in Spanish!! but I am sure it's draining to do that)

I’ve tried out a lot of asmr channels in the past 5 years but there was always something that might make me uncomfortable, like talking too fast or background noise or triggers I don’t like. I also have heard about the bug one and for me its like head scratching which is another of my fav triggers (hair play, scratching etc) but i love anything you do! After seeing another youtuber make fun of a silly asmr video a few years ago thats when i found your channel and have been watching you since! You quickly became a favorite and im another who feels your voice is the most calming! Whispering is my main trigger for ASMR and that is why I subscribe and watch you. I personally feel like lots of folks can brush and tap their microphone but whispering in a perfectly triggering way is much more rare and it is your greatest ASMR strength. So I vote for lots of talking 😊
