I don't know if people have told you before, but the eye contact and smiles you make are actually really helpful with relaxing and make the sensations easier to feel (that may just be me, though). Maybe it's because of the inherent intimacy of eye contact or the fact that it looks like you are having fun and enjoying what you're doing?
