What were your str stats when you beat it? I have it at str 28, end 19, vit 28, but I am dying quite easily, summons I only have wolves, skeletons and 2 knights. I am using uchigatana
Hi my str was 20, dex 28, end 23 vigor was 36. I had the lance talisman which really helps fighting on horseback. I always try and stay on my horse and just ride around the dragon in circles by its feet and swing at the feet.

This thing is a movement queen. Otherwise it would be useless
My attacks do like 50 damage and every attack 1-shots or almost 1-shots me...
what level are you? and how upgraded is your weapon?
@@MattTaylorVariety bloodhound fang and no upgrades. Didn't know you could upgrade your weapon haha. Not sure what level I am, I'm quite new. To upgrade my stats it costs about 12k runes or something like that.
@@MattTaylorVariety I just checked, I'm level 46. (20 vigor, 11 mind, 14 endurance, 29 strenght, 21 dext, 9 int, 8 faith and 13 arcane)

@@Skreppatada you might be at the wrong place. You buy the incantation at the CATHEDRAL.. not the CHURCH of dragon communion.
Idk why but ive never been able to kill this particular dragon. the rest of them..easy. even the ones in farum azula..easy. This guy..never. even at level 127 or something he destroys me. That breath does stupid damage and I never manage to miss it enough to get him down. Oh well. nice video. at least i know its possible. lol
Try and implement the techniques I do in this video and see if it helps at all. But yeah, that dragon is a beast, pun intended! haha
@@MattTaylorVariety I will. I've seen some really wacky AI with the dragons. Like I've seen them go completely off script and just land on a cliff they have never gone to in 15 playthrus and start raining fire down on me and refuse to move. Stuff like that. I'm starting to wonder if it actually changes slightly each encounter or if the AI is literally becoming sentient.
It is also possible they did some patches since this video was made. That is hilarious though if he just perches on top of the mountain and doesn't move haha. Sucks in the game but would be fun to try and kill it or not fun, ha. At least you can still just run and get the key without even bothering with it. But I like to kill pretty much anything I see lol@@phoenix92890
Ive beaten him at level 50. Try to use the jellyfish summon . It staggered him 2 times wnd my jellyfish summon is like level 0 in terms of upgrade

how did u manage level 78 before the dragon, im still lvl 46
I did other things first. You don't have to fight him now if you don't want to.
Idk how you do so much damage... I'm mostly a mage and I'm just choppin away forever and then he gets me with fire while he is flying around...
It is that type of weapon that is also upgraded. I actually don't use magic very much in the game. I know it can be super lethal, so maybe do a search on how to beat it with magic. And the Lance Talisman lets me do more damage while on horseback. Good luck beating it!
