I love sewing and quilting. I recommendation for very simple, beginner friendly patterns. 100 Acts of Sewing is great. She’s in the Bay Area and has a book that is great and includes a few of her basic patterns. I’ve made a whole wardrobe with her pieces, all in linen. I’m here for the recipes and used to be a chef in the old days.
You have made me want to get my Pierre back out of hibernation. After I figured out the increases, I did them with a m1l and I think that left a hole too big, so I’m going to rip back - again😂 and do the increases with a backwards loop which should be a bit tighter and then I will be away. It was /is such a fun pattern! I can’t believe how far behind I am on your podcasts!❤
Loved the Vaster Wilds (and Matrix) & I think the recipe idea sounds so cool. Ps have you seen Argil tank- it’s got an interesting approach to stripes!
Hi Andrea 🌸 For striped tanks, take a look at the Stripey Turtle Tank and Sailor Swift. Of course you can use any solid tank/cami pattern and just make it striped. Always open to hearing about good recipes and good reads! I’m a huge James Michener fan, LOVE his historical fiction saga’s; I find them rich with details and characters, as well as enthralling and educational. Xoxo Lisa 🌺
Love watching you, love all your projects, you have very nice taste. Also love those Kuro Neko bags, would you be able to share the link where I can purchase? Thank you.
Hello! Future fibre podcast has a great episode on summer tanks. 🩷 I loved your project bags and projects. I am a sewist and avid reader and knitter. Trying to balance it all 😅 lovely episode! Thanks for sharing.
I really loved the encouragement from the #pierreaffairekal🩵🩵🩵 I really learned that when it comes to shawl colors, I love shading/fading best of all - certainly the most successful of my color experiments! Thank you for the company!
Uh oh, watch out for the fabric stash that is sure to start taking over your life! I started sewing in 2020 and have a small stash. My daughter and I made some small projects like bags. She even made me an interchangeable needle roll! I haven't sewn since 2021 but my little fabric stash is still there, calling out to me! 🤣 I'm going to start on the SABAI top by Susanne Muller soon. I was looking for a boat neck tank that is a little looser on the body. I was going to just knit 2 rectangles and seam but I like the neckline and shoulder in her pattern so I'll give it a go. It's too hot for wooly knits in So Cal at the moment! Love your bandana colors, BTW!
Hahahahaha, I hear you! I cast on the Sabai top the night I released the podcast! It's a really nice shape and I actually got gauge with recommended needles! I'm using the Isager Linen Trio 2 double. We'll be knitting in tandem!
Hi Andrea! I was SOO happy to have participated in the #pierreaffair KAL. The Pierre shawl is a perfect companion when I go to overly air conditioned places like the theater. Very cozy! Happy June/happy summer ☀️
The best cable tool that I’ve ever used is a toothpick lol. This is terrible because I love beautiful tools but here I am with my toothpick… I really appreciate the book suggestions! I have the same problem with the narration and prefer to read them myself but then have to give up knitting while I do it. I also love foreign movies but I can actually read the subtitles while I knit so maybe there’s hope.
I wish I could get into sewing because I want the finished product, but just don’t enjoy the process. Maybe it takes a special teacher like the one you have! And, yes, please share recipes!!
Great video as always. For an incredible tank, check out Colorado Knitter podcast who just finished a stunning tank by Gundrun Johnston. Don’t think pattern is published yet. Warning: lace weight. Despite that I’m going for it.
You are the most inspirational person. You totally got me out of my box. I'm trying new yarns and new colors. Thank you.
Well, thank you so much! I am constantly inspired myself by other people's choices.🤗 Enjoy!
❤❤❤TU for a great podcast 😊

Hahahahaha! So tiny, but handy;)
i Love sewing! Sewing pants is surprisingly easy! make 1st pair out NOT you favorite fabric, and pick a simple pattern.
That's good advice, despite the fact I may not heed your wise words.😂
I would love book recommendations and recipes please x
Awesome!
Great podcast! I knit and quilt. I would be interested in sharing recipes.
Okay, thanks for letting me know!
The Creabea has a striped version of her new Tolsta Tank.
It's super cute, thanks!

I do feel lucky to have a hands on teacher with the goal of really understanding the machine. I swear the actual sewing is the easy part!

I will! Tag me, if you like, as I'd love to see your progress!
No hats on the bed. Never give a purse without a penny in it. Spilled salt over the left shoulder. Oh.... so many "truths!"
