Hello, I bought the Ryzen 7 version ( Ryzen 7 7840HS ). It had been running without any issues the last 3 days. But today, my laptop forze and showed a black screen. I pressed down the power button and turned it off and after I turned it on the issue still persists (i had the charger plugged in). But when I unplugged the charger and turned on the laptop, it worked normally without any issues. But as soon as i plug in the charger, the system instantly freezes. Afterwards I reinstalled all my driver and stuff but I saw no results. Right now I went into bios and changed the graphics from Dynamic to Dedicated and it worked as it's supposed to. Somehow the integrated graphics stops the moment I plug in the charger. I looked it up online and people do have the same issue. Do you have any idea on how to fix this.
Hey man! Sorry to hear about your struggles. I did some research on it now as well and it seems a few people have found that it's the HDR being turned on and off when taking the charger in and out. Some have disable HDR to fix this. Another guy changed his power settings, he found out that because he was in Hybrid mode plus having HDR on, the Laptop would go dark and then switch on again. As soon as he changed the power mode, he had no further trouble. I hope some of this helps you...let me know!👍😁

Hey mah Dude...putting a Laptop on a surface that has no ventilation and one like a bed with blankets and stuff really get in the way of that all important AIR FLOW...now...some other stuff off yours also needs AIR FLOW...sooo by putting a very Hot Device on your 'device' will create an environment that is not very healthy for your devices' performance. The point is...AIR Flow is important for a lot of things and for a lot of reasons!😎👍
Yup, my laptop over heated because using in bed, with all the fluff got sucked in. That was within the 2 years of use. Once cleaned and never used in bed anymore, never overheating. @@WeDoTech

Yeah I see a lot of forums discussing the motherboard dead issue...it's...unfortunate but not everyone is affected, and as I read the aftersales support is incredible, some clients even getting GPU upgrades as a result. It must be something wrong building process because it seems to be a hardware issue. On the other hand though, a lot of Lenovo users LOVE the LOQ and have had NO issues.
Did you buy the R7 7435HS variant , if so , may i ask you how do you like it , and how long the battery can handle for basic tasks like watching youtube ?

It all depends on the specials you can get, usually going for a model thats a year old when a new one comes out is a good idea. Most midrange priced laptops are very competitive with eachother. Do some research, monotor the market for 6 months before you buy- if you have that luxury

Gaming should be better with the 4060. It has more vram so it should be more future proof.
