    Mark, The Eddie and ZZ Mark, as a grandfather I really appreciate you three making quality videos that I can let my grandsons watch without having to worry about what they will see and hear. You are the only RUclips channel I have subscribed to for that very reason. Thank you and keep up the good work.

    You once said you need years and years of sawing experience to operate the edger. That really don't look that hard. I'll lay odds a man could learn that process in less than a day. Just saying.

    • @TheWildWestMill
      @TheWildWestMill Год назад +2

      You need to know how to grade lumber if your going to run a headsaw. Edger or trimsaw to maximize the most from every board if you edge it wrong could be the different between 20 or 40 bucks and if you do that with every board could bankrupt a sawmill very quickly

    Good video showing some of everything. I've gotten to where I can see the laser pretty well now. I was looking for the wrong thing. for starters it is green not red. I was looking for what you think of as a sharp line, but when it is running all over the bark its pretty rough, and it isn't always straight since the log is not usually uniform in diameter. Still a little hard to pickup on a sawn corner, but It is getting easier to see. Keep up the good work.

    Nice to see your take on custom sawing mark, don't think I've seen you do it before. I know it can be done with a band mill, some people will also charge by the hour on some jobs rather than footage. Circle mills are great, but they need to be respected.
