True, I have worked in Disability services and there are a few nasty vile people who elevate to top positions, they haven't an ounce of compassion. They pretend to care.
I remember thinking my ex-SIL taking his Downs Syndrome brother out was compassionate. Then I was confused because, over time, I had learnt that compassion wasn’t in his makeup. Finally, it came out that he was bleeding his brother of his spending money to finance his drinking sessions and snooker games. A true parasite.
Correct..that's why it is important to check the fruits (actions) to tell the tree (human character) 🌻👍..it is all in the Bible and other holy scriptures
I have a narcissistic partner and she expresses delight when someone has an accident that results in injury. For example, trip over and hit your head and suffer pain, her face lights up, she laughs hysterically, thinks it's great.
Jimmy Savile (UK TV personality) is an example of just this type of psychopath. He helped orphans, raised money did all sorts of things in the public eye, while he abused them in the dark of night.
You're one of the evil ones. I can tell just by how you talk. You want to keep yourself safe, instead of keeping others safe. You said it - "have to navigate".
What's truly terrifying is knowing that people that partook in war crimes are no different than you and I. One might consider themselves harmless, yeah right... If you're harmless you're way more dangerous (just another future nazí) than if you're a monster, but don't act monstrously.
If you've experienced them before, your body will remember and tell you when you meet them; listen to it and go. If you get involved and leave they never forget you and you are always on their list of "Play things"
Beware of the one who, by his/ her actions is saying "If I cant have you, you cant have your freedom." This is the one who wont let go... youll have to change your name, cash only/ no electronic transactions, move far away, erase your online footprint; totally disappear. They would need gov-only resources to find you after that Remember: you are an expendible commodity, & they have no trace of a conscience. Consider _enough_ with jennifer lopez
I disagree. The truly scary thing about psychos and dark triads is that we can't recognize them when we meet them. Their social skill faking is so good.
@@mark4asp I can usually tell something is off, this is after years of interacting w/them so my body is more tuned in….every once in a while one will slip past my radar.
My entire family was held emotionally and financially hostage for 75 yrs by my mother and eldest brother who were both dark-hearted triads. And now the generation of children have taken over that role so I haven't seen anyone in my family in well over a decade. Being alone is better than being abused !!!!!
If a narcissist or a toxic person in your relationship tries to accuse you of being the culprit of abuse, ask yourself whether the thought of hurting this person you love who is accusing you of such a thing concerns you. If it does, then you know you're not the one to blame and is a major sign of being gaslit and manipulated. Make no mistake, these people know exactly what they're doing and are truly evil... Learn to spot them and stay as far away from them as possible.
And if they really are abusive and you tell/accuse them they still deny it, blame you, gaslight you, lie and avoid accountability. So who’s the actual abuser? The one who accuses? Or the one who avoids?
Most relationships involve several people. You can still become abusive without intending to if you are in such a situation. For example a psycho boss might blame the other department for being lazy, but have lunch with the other department head and tell them you are incompetent. Then you start "fighting" but in truth psycho boss just forgot to specify the feature.
This existed before colonialism. Tribes constantly were preying upon each other. There was one tribe that was particularly brutal it ran of vikings when vikings tried to settle. They were more brutal then the other tribes as a matter of face. It's human nature to have people who aren't peaceful, sadly. It's not unique to white people or colonialism, however...
@@catcat9582 Your elaboration is even more of an indictment than was my comment about colonialism. My comment painted a picture where some people were buttheads. In contrast, yours paints a picture where nearly everyone are buttheads. I think your elaboration is probably worse, but also more likely to be true. And that really paints a terribly unflattering picture of human nature, and by extension, the many 'systems' that they devise under the guise of wanting to do good, when in reality it appears that what they sincerely want is to 'do good for themselves'. Perhaps the fears of AI wiping out humans are more relevant and substantial than we may imagine. Rather than being some grand uprising against humanity by malicious robots... we're just seen as the morally depraved species that we are, and therefore their decision to 'exterminate' us is probably a 'good' decision. Ponderable, yes?
The founding fathers already knew what Jordan Peterson and these scientists are just figuring out. “ Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. “Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!” - Ben Franklin
Well, You can read the Oddisey and find out they the Greeks new it before. That is where the word "Narcisistic" comes from. Human nature has not changed 1 bit since us humans have existed.
My possessions were stolen by someone I entrusted them to when I lost my job before Covid. And now she's calling it reparation for past colonial injustices against African people.

LOL. As a retired psych nurse , I so agree. Most frightening part of my life was looking into the eyes the psychopaths I worked with . It was never my patients I feared. Okay , once, but only once in five years. Seriously , I feared my coworkers often. It's a great place for psychopaths to hide.

That’s probably taking it too far. Very narcissistic, even sociopathic is probably a better description for the majority. To be a psychopath you have yo want to hurt people, & enjoy it.
Many politicians are narcissists who need to be in the spotlight of the camera on a near-daily basis (this is why trump went into politics). Certainly, it is also true that some politicians are sociopaths, and those behind the scenes manipulating them are usually the malignant narcissists.
Love means affection but too many equate it with eroticism. They are 2 different sensations and acts when acted upon. One should be cautious on being drunk so to speak, in regards to these 2 emotions and sensations because a person can end up being used and abused.
Compassion means having empathy but when using it in a misplaced manner to someone who is very harmful to another, one should investigate about that person or group as to why they behave in the way they do and all the psychological possibilities. If you give compassion to the un-compassioned then you stand the chance of reinforcing their lack of compassion. The answer is obviously to find out why and explain how they are wrong.

It's a devilish plague. If us catholics knew the Gospel and the Bible, we wouldn't fall for it. Many, religious or not, being nice people, are scared of saying "what this person does is wrong", to act accordingly, peacefully but firmly setting boundaries and taking responsibility without compromising with evil. With all our intelligence and strength we need to build a better family and society. With all our hearts we need to pray hard and welcome God so He can work among us and in us. Many are lukewarm believers, they are sleepy, and they do none of this. And as a nun told me, the devil is closer when you are closer to God, to try and make you fall even by the smallest thing. And Jesus explains it all so clearly in the Gospels.
I had a friend like that. She was offended that at church men would allow their wives to go ahead of them for communion. Being single, she felt that it was unfair that married women were shown this courtesy, and she wasn't. One day she tried to wedge herself between me and my husband. That didn't go well, and after that she became very hateful to me.
Plus one! I have a friend who took the mask off and tried to pretend to be superior all of a sudden. He had a rage attack when I would not acknowledge him in his fake form. I went NO CONTACT for life!
@@marymorris6897😮 I understand why she felt that way 😞 poor thing. Men are called to embrace a Christ like approach to leadership in relationships and show masculinity, protection, gentleness & love towards the weaker vessel. It doesn't matter if he's single or married. In fact the scriptures say what pure religion is and the church is called to take care of single mothers, widows & orphans.
@@Pr8053 I think the practice was invented a long time ago in Europe to remind gentlemen to treat their ladies right. It probably had more to do with culture than faith. Practically, if every man stood aside so that every woman could go first, it would create logjams in the aisles. When this even occurred, she was agitated and irritable right from the start. Then, without a word, she tried to force her way between us. It caused a bit of commotion because my husband didn't know what was going on. Then she sat down beside me again and started saying bad things about the pastor. There was nothing about faith or kindness in what she was doing. When she got home that day she wrote me a nasty note. I'm wise to gaslighting, so I didn't buy into it. From that day on she acted as an enemy to me and rejected my attempts at reconciliation. After the second nasty note, I called it quits.
It is a painful thought, that I’ve been exposed to both of these core psychopathic traits, from different people and, for the most part, I’ve considered the behavior to be more narcissistic, than psychopathic, but now agree that it can be quite psychopathic. For two of these people, my former sister and a neighbor, although my former sister has been more predatory and my neighbor, more parasitic (although she has now passed), I have felt this stone block. They cannot see, hear and will not take any excuses, why they cannot blatantly use and/or punish you. I’ve also long been aware that the world appears to have been moving towards the first core trait. That, it is YOU who is at fault, if you aren’t able to protect yourself and the psychopath that, then, feels obligated, to do whatever they want with you. The only rub these people have, is when they’ve marked you as such, yet end up spinning their wheels. It’s as if they literally cannot comprehend just why, if they’ve considered you nice/weak are you defending yourself and they’re not getting anywhere.
@@humptydumpty-m8u some are not flashbacks, in part, because I saw them coming. Others are epiphanies of what happened, that I formerly questioned, but now understand.
@@privateprivate8366 Hi, understand your concerns. The fact is: are those epiphanies meaning romantic relationship, or just friendship? As the relationship has turned into friendship, I.e. interpersonal relationship, sometimes friends do care and understand for each other. Just like some comments in yt earlier, some persons said that they would not rule out the possibility that they would learn more about a religion (something like that but not the exact wordings). I felt good for them but didn’t comment immediately because I preferred to keep silent at that moment. But later I talked to myself that these persons are welcome to know more about religion. These are all based on friends perspectives. Again, the fact is, if there are so many ‘evidence’ to prove that someone would prefer not going back to the past, then the situation should not be like now. The persons in friendships are friends, the person in a romantic relationship is a partner.

He could of just said "Authoritarianism" near the end- in it's relationship to the Dark Tetrad types. Whether it's Left Wing or Right Wing depends upon the context of the predatory target and the techniques the predator uses to extract what they want.
@@Kelli-ru7yy There are psychopaths in any group that's large enough. There are more leaning towards the left from what I can see. Look at all corporate programs for "inclusiveness" "discrimination" etc. They are pushing left wing agendas, and there is a strong correlation between corporations pushing for social programs and committing crime. There is also a correlation between more lenient punishment for these corporations if they are actively pushing these agendas in marketing. While there are people on the right who do similar things, it's not as popular and haven't been as popular for quite a long time. Left leaning political parties have had more influence in europe and I think (not fully sure) also in america for the last.. 2-3 decades? In Sweden the left has basically held power since the 50s. Losing a few elections every other decade, but building up a system behind it where they still hold a lot of power while not actually being in the government.

These definitions completely define the now deceased actress , Joan Crawford who adopted two kids for purposes of using them as props for her movie career and unfortunately, insidiously physically assaulted the two oldest for many years. Her daughter Christina Crawford wrote the book, "Mommie Dearest" which exposed her mother for the monster that she was. Many colleagues in her Industry knew about the abuse but said or did anything about it. The truth came out a little bit at a time over the past 40 years and now it has been verified that she indeed physically and psychologically abused those two eldest kids.
All narcissists physically and psychologically abuse their children, and some of them SA their own children, as well. It's not just Joan Crawford but millions of children raised by these monsters hell-bent on "keep up appearances" in public while beating the shit out of their children behind closed doors.
"A narcissist wants unearned social status." What? a narc wants far more than that. And the way it is said can give the wrong impression: "social status" can be replaced by "superior position". It has nothing to do with e.g. formal social status, like an academic background. It is feeling entitled in such a way that the other person must become subordinate.
The underlying driver of a narcissists behavior is "elevated social status" and they don't care how they come by it, earned or unearned. This is a fact. Everything else is just in service of elevating their perceived social status. You may not know this fact, or understand this fact, but it is the most 100% accurate statement I've encountered on RUclips in a while.
I 100% agree with the statement that a narc wants unearned social status. It's important that it's unearned, because all of us want social status. But a narc can't be bothered to do what is required to achieve the status they want, but feel entitled to it anyway. Hence their parasitic lifestyle.

There are times when I genuinely do good things for people and they end up turning on me for some reason. This recently happened at work: I was at Starbucks with my coworker one morning and we ordered around the same time, 7:50 am - 7: 53 am. I got my coffee around 7:57 am (our clock in time was at 8:00 am, our job was down the street, 1 minute walk) but for some reason my coworker's coffee wasn't ready. A few minutes went by, it was around 7:59am, and her coffee still wasn't coming out. I had my coffee in my hand already and I wanted to wait for her, it seemed like a nice thing to do, instead of being like "Alright I don't want to be late, too bad your coffee hasn't come out, see ya" So after she saw that I was waiting for her She told me "You have your coffee why don't you just go?" I told her "No worries I'll wait for you so you don't walk in late by yourself, I'll tell Don (our boss) they forgot both our orders." And she was grateful and said thank you. So there was a mistake with her order and her coffee came out 10 minutes later, but I texted my boss that we were both at starbucks and they forgot both our orders (which was a lie I made up so my coworker wouldn't have been the only one late) A sort of like "Hey Starbucks forgot both our orders not just hers" A week later we're working on an elevation together, the whole team (there's 5 of us), and 3 hours into working she comes up to me and starts going off on me out of nowhere on some calculations and measurements our boss made. She came up to me a bit aggressive and told me "Hey you're off 5/8's of an inch, the whole elevation's wrong." I was dumbfounded, I didn't make any calculations on that Elevation, or boss did that one for us. I was being called out on a mistake that I never worked on. Our boss had the blueprints for all our elevations that day, and he did that one for us. So I told her "Hey Erick finalized those measurements not me, I just helped him with the final layout. Complain to Erick, don't complain to me, I didn't make those calculations." And our other coworker who was right next to us even chimed in (he's our lead, he has 15+ years experience) he said "Sadie, how do you even know if the wall you're measuring is straight? That 5/8's of an inch off that you're talking about might not even be reliable on an uneven wall. Check your layout for the wall, make sure it's plumb, then re-run your calculations." My coworker then goes crazy and starts screaming at the whole team, "Give me the respect I deserve ! No one here respects me except Jerry and Hector !" She had a full mental breakdown in front of the whole team. And then I told her " Wait what did I do to you? How did I disrespect you ? All I said was complain to Erick not me, you were complaining to the wrong person I had nothing to do with that elevation, Erick did it all by himself" Long story short, she ends up getting fired from our division because she went off on our boss (Erick) after that incident. She's still with the company but just a completely different division (each division has their own structure, and tasks but we all work for the same company) It amazes me because I was genuinely nice to this person I even put myself on the line and they ended up turning on me, for no reason. I felt dumb being nice to her that morning at the Starbucks. People are very strange and I just try to keep to myself usually. . . .
With respect, I have to disagree. I think they are mercifully few in proportion, but the problem is that they have a disproportionate effect in spreading misery, and as they tend to seek high-profile roles, they seem to be more common than they actually are. The 'dark triad' personalities aren't very common, and the worst are already behind bars!
If I remember right, there's this book written by a Romanian, ex-communist Lt. general, the highest rank to ever defect from the soviet bloc, Ian Mihai Pacepa, called Political Ponerology, which describes how psychopaths take over such left-wing authoritarian regimes like the one he fled, and how many in thr "lower ranks" develop this type of hysteria.
The book was written by Polish psychologist Andrew Lobochevski. He was a member of a secret group of Polish psychologists who studied the relationship between power and pyschopathology in communist Poland. Lobochevski was the only one in the group to evade capture, and the version of the book published was the 3rd one because the two previous attempts were lost in action.

Agreed. As also those who are religiously atheistic, i.e. worshipping the cause celeb: trans debate, the environment, cultural Marxists..good people are at risk on all sides by evil posing as good.
Wrong, faith, and purpose should be combined. The idea of faith being pushed aside is an ideal of communism. Faith keeps all people of all levels strong, and purpose drives a community and the individual forward. To kick that aside is one seeking to separate people and destroy the fabric of a society. Faith can mean a belief in a higher power or purpose. Remove that, and you have a society that has no honor and integrity heading towards a cutthroat one. The purpose now made for self serving rather than for the greater or greatest good.

As a person who's experienced this character first hand, someone who confused the heck out of my own mind with their mind control, anger, silence, followed by laughing and then sweaty exhaustion (fix your shield and nervous system best you can now because they'll be coming back for more when they wake), I feel deeply fascinated, that, When they could have Decided to live life by giving, they now can't be helped because they don't know how to use positive energy, at All. It's the most destructive way to survive what could have been a wonderful life. They are in so deep, that they can't see who they are anymore, except by the power they feast on, as their risks have to increase to fill the pit of despair they have proudly dug, and I watch in horror as it consumes them with the public now seeing it. What a waste of universal energy, in their destruction, (i tried to give them a way to have what they wanted to destroy in me, but that only made them worse). I see my trauma as a very proud scar of surviving trying to help, but more so, my ability to still keep my hope. For I think it's inevitable they will have to face all this (that's my faith side). And that must be why I have a healthy fear of what I consider to be real hell.

I bounce between the opposites. Semi-psychopathic disorder. Its a survival response simular to how one develops narcissism to cope except to become a predator and its much easier to remove and quote trigger after you develop it. Loving is my true intention n not in a weird way.
You know what, sometimes I have suspicions that I deal with something similar, it’s basically, the idea of somebody manipulating to get what they believe is the optimal result, and will do anything to make it happen if we really want to. I’d say people are more capable than credit is given to sometimes, I feel that our intentions are pure, however when we feel like we’ve been disrespected, or used, or betrayed, it just adds to the holes we already have in our chests. We try so hard though, to achieve an indeal, being able to make immoral decisions at times, to further an agenda, but in the end, it’s a childhood trauma response, or you’re born that way, I have learned that everybody looks at things from a different angle, 100% of the time. I learned to humble myself, and then made sure I understood what I wanted, what I wanted was healthy, I think I actually feel things TOO intensely sometimes especially if I feel treaded upon. Not sure what’s wrong with me sometimes, everybody is capable of every single point of the dark triad, some people more than others. When it gets really dark, is when you realize that you probably don’t process things in the same way as a lot of people, there’s a mental block there, we can get there, though! If we truly try, we can grasp emotions that we’ve been stuffing away while learning to appreciate the truth and the world around us in the first place. Be good to yourself, and remember that emotion is worth it. It really is.
As a fatherless 19 year old at the time; I look back at my worst moments. I exhibited all of the behaviors of a psychopath-not in extremes; but well defined. Yeshua the Son of Yehovah is the Answer. There is a terror that besets me- that I can look back on my faults and call them evil- at that time i was unaware of myself, i was lost, I thought I had good intentions. a hand of Divinity pulled me free from those chains. yet I am terrified for those still left shackled. still confused, still lost, still "enjoying" the darkness.
This is what I have come to realize. When we take into consideration that everything is spiritual, and that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with principalities. It is no wonder that narcissism and other similar disorders cannot be cured by worldly means. They are a spiritual problem that can only be healed by deliverance. Something that only comes from a relationship with God. Not just a form of godliness, as there are plenty of wolves in sheep's clothing in churches and organizations. I, too, pray for those who have hurt me because I know that they're lost and as tormented as what they give out to others. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

Then I remembered there are instructions God gave to Jeremiah to stop praying for certain people. Odd thing.
You were never a psychopath. Psychopaths are neurologically incapable of caring about anything. You had no father, so as a child you developed Narcissistic Personality Disorder..like most all children who are abandoned by their fathers do...as a means to keep from spiraling into shame about feeling so utterly and completely worthless. Now you are espousing religous rhetoric which only FURTHER CONFIRMS your own narcissistic psychopathology, and doing so very publicly, because narcissists are all about being publicly admired and believing their beliefs are superior to all other people's beliefs. At best, all you can do is shift from one form of pathological narcississm...grandiose narcissism...to another form, religoius narcissism.

They always make people feel bad about themselves. Almost like a reflex. Just so they can feel superior in the moment. They always need to bash some external group (pretending to protect their friends). And then put you in that group.
It's left and right "activism". As someone with a wealth of experience in fields of religion and human services, I always tell people, "There's no better place for the ego to hide behind than 'doing good' ".
Yes but they are gifted at doing things that contribute nothing. Billionaires are often intelligent and gifted, but you physically can't make that much money without siphoning value from others.
Jordan, I have a serious question: Am I a Machiavellian? I think of conversations I’m going to have with people, and I most definitely think about particular things that I know the individuals will relate to and understand, and I try to gear what I’m discussing to be on relative situations so that I can have a better connection with those individuals and they’ll be more likely to engage with me and more likely be willing to hear me out. This leads to friendships, potential clients of my business, or even partnerships with individuals down the road. I thought I was applying the principles from “how to win friends and influence people, but now I’m concerned that I may be in the wrong for taking thought prior in how to connect with those I know I’ll be talking to in how to best connect with them and give us time to discuss the important matters. Maybe the distinction between this and what you’ve mentioned is the intention and integrity. I’m never dishonest in my dealings, just trying to read my audience and talk about things they will understand and connect with to help them come along for the full journey so to speak, rather than trying to talk quantum physics to a 3 year old. Help?
A child should never be expected to run from their dark tedrad parent. You would think that the average psychologist could figure that out however most of them fresh out of grad school cannot.
Recently did an assignment on the dark triad and Donald Trump. As much as people want to paint him as a psycho, he is not. Narcissism however... holy cow that guy is off the charts in that aspect.
It is possible but you have to bear in mind that they are the supervillain mentality. Beating them generally means you expose them to the group they are hiding among/behind. The problem is that, once exposed, they may lash out with no regard who gets hurt so long as they can have their revenge (and if they don't, then it means they are calculating a plan which might be worse). So you might be able to beat one say in an online game chat setting where they can't know anything about you and where you quietly involve moderators to catch when you get them to slip up without realizing it... But if they know who you are and know you're the one who exposed them, you could actually be in physical danger. And even then, bear in mind that they are not all on the same level. Some are much better at hiding it than others and so are much harder to expose.
No contact and don't EVER let them see you sweat. It's all about making YOU fill their internal cups that they cannot fill on their own. For your own safety & sanity, go NO CONTACT. But it also drives them bonkers. They can absolutely escalate but just stay away and don't worry about anything that they say about you to anyone. Let people believe what they want to believe and start over if you have to. I had to walk away from my entire life to get away from it. I kept trying and kept trying. It's not worth it. They never get better. Ever. And when they start realizing that there's other people that want you as a target, like if you are a scapegoat from a toxic family system, they may collaborate together. Literally they even often want you to die so they can get sympathy, but also spread even more lies about you that you cannot defend yourself from. It never helps to stay in those situations because then it becomes even impossible to raise your children properly or to think straight. Depending on how bad the psychological abuse was, it can take a really really long to even stay awake for a few hours after escaping a situation. Months. I'm at the year mark and it's still hard. Living on Gatorade/electrolytes. It took me a year to be brave enough to find a job when I left because I knew once he found out where I worked he would come in and try to ruin it. They can get into you personal info, change your address on insurance, social security, emails, social media, etc. They are pure demons. So you have to stay on it. And just like demons do- they might go away for a while but they try to come back stronger. Unless you're lucky and they discard you, wanting nothing to do with you. But they still smear you because they have to manipulate, be right, and they have to look like the victim. Even though I'm fearful, all I can do is the best I can. Take care of YOU.
Why not also right wing authoritarianism? I grant there’s more opportunity now in the West for left-wing predators, but that’s just a current condition.
I was attacked last night, strangely, like telepathy,my ex husband I was with for years, bumped into me and asked if I was okay. I almost feel like he was meant to be there as for years I felt safe with him after all that time. I didn't want to say,no I'm not okay as he probably was just being polite, but that's not to say we are still connected like a soul contract. I always sense when our son is in trouble or actually I do think whether he's okay at times too ,but, his wife is too jealous even for any kind of care, even now and again, sporadically. When we meet it's like meeting old family, uncomfortable because you just want to say,oh my god, look at you,are you okay, let me see you,oh a new haircut etc just like you would with anyone i literally grew up with longer than my brother. It's sad to think he doesn't care, feels strange as an empathic person that he could be like that, unless he was amnesic or something. Absolutely agree. It's self-preservation or bust.

The one who accuses?

Truly evil? The human nature is fallen. We all do evil.
And thats why everyone need redemption and God/Jesus in their life
Most relationships involve several people. You can still become abusive without intending to if you are in such a situation. Then you start "fighting" but in truth psycho boss just forgot to specify the feature.

'Colonialism' in a nutshell.
Relatable
Compassion means having empathy but when using it in a misplaced manner to someone who is very harmful to another, one should investigate about that person or group as to why they behave in the way they do and all the psychological possibilities. Some very good points

There are times when I genuinely do good things for people and they end up turning on me for some reason.
This recently happened at work:
I was at Starbucks with my coworker one morning and we ordered around the same time, 7:50 am - 7: 53 am. I got my coffee around 7:57 am (our clock in time was at 8:00 am, our job was down the street, 1 minute walk) but for some reason my coworker's coffee wasn't ready.
A few minutes went by, it was around 7:59am, and her coffee still wasn't coming out. I had my coffee in my hand already and I wanted to wait for her, it seemed like a nice thing to do, instead of being like "Alright I don't want to be late, too bad your coffee hasn't come out, see ya" So after she saw that I was waiting for her She told me "You have your coffee why don't you just go?" I told her "No worries I'll wait for you so you don't walk in late by yourself, I'll tell Don (our boss) they forgot both our orders."
And she was grateful and said thank you. So there was a mistake with her order and her coffee came out 10 minutes later, but I texted my boss that we were both at starbucks and they forgot both our orders (which was a lie I made up so my coworker wouldn't have been the only one late) A sort of like "Hey Starbucks forgot both our orders not just hers"
A week later we're working on an elevation together, the whole team (there's 5 of us), and 3 hours into working she comes up to me and starts going off on me out of nowhere on some calculations and measurements our boss made.
Check your layout for the wall, make sure it's plumb, then re-run your calculations."
My coworker then goes crazy and starts screaming at the whole team, "Give me the respect I deserve ! No one here respects me except Jerry and Hector !" She had a full mental breakdown in front of the whole team. And then I told her " Wait what did I do to you? How did I disrespect you ? All I said was complain to Erick not me, you were complaining to the wrong person I had nothing to do with that elevation, Erick did it all by himself"
Long story short, she ends up getting fired from our division because she went off on our boss (Erick) after that incident. She's still with the company but just a completely different division (each division has their own structure, and tasks but we all work for the same company)
It amazes me because I was genuinely nice to this person I even put myself on the line and they ended up turning on me, for no reason. I felt dumb being nice to her that morning at the Starbucks. People are very strange and I just try to keep to myself usually. . . .
There are so many Macchiavellian types around, it's actually scary.
It's not just left-wing. The Latin American dictatorships, most of them, are hard right.
Thank you both for this recommendation, I've added it to my reading list. It looks HIGHLY relevant to these times.
This blurs in to toxic narcissism. Best not to engage with anyone with toxic interactions. No telling what they truly are, and not worth investing time in figuring out. Pray for them at a distance.
Who isn't toxic?
There no better camouflage for someone who is truly dark than embracing the outward appearance of religious faith, public prayers, religious attire and spiritual sounding speech.
I know a preacher like that. Years ago he was also a cop and used it to destroy my life.
Agreed. As also those who are religiously atheistic, i.e. worshipping the cause celeb: trans debate, the environment, cultural Marxists..good people are at risk on all sides by evil posing as good.
That is dark.

We can call it anything we want but it's demon possession and they're all over the place . For some reason when we call them fancy names like psychopaths (psychopathy) or socialpaths we lessen the reality of the intrinsic evil these people are possessed with.. There is only light and darkness in the world - there is no happy medium. I am not attempting to invalidate what Peterson is saying - of course not, he's my favorite speaker on this and other matters -but.before you think that psychopathy is just a character flaw, or something that can be resolved with or alleviated with meds, please remember that most killers in american history were psychopaths and hid behind a happy face at times. Most of the time you see the evil but you ignore it! Dont ignore it! Run for your lives! Stop being so nice and forgiving and patient! Run!!

One of the traits is a big energy that these individuals need to unleash and their being sensation seeking. This might explain why they work so hard (badly of course ) while many who could do better and take charge don't bother.
I 100% agree with the statement that a narc wants unearned social status. It's important that it's unearned, because all of us want social status. But a narc can't be bothered to do what is required to achieve the status they want, but feel entitled to it anyway. Hence their parasitic lifestyle.

My father is an extreme narcissist and he has no low that he will not drop to. Gaslighting is one of his most used tactics and he is evil I only got a chance to breathe when I went no contact. I was diagnosed at the age of 40 with ADHD BPD and PTSDc thanks to my father.

He has freed me, and helped me feel. I am evil and I know it now.

@@samanthaspeaks9667 Hi, Samantha. There is great power in praying for our enemies. It frees us and it gives them over to God. My sister-in-law was badly abused and in forgiveness she found healing.
There was one time I was praying for two pastors and the Lord told me to stop praying for them. I was like What???
You literally cannot change because it would cause you to plummet into a shame spiral so frightening you fear you night never come out of it. At best, all you can do is shift from one form of pathological narcississm...grandiose narcissism...to another form, religoius narcissism.
@marymorris6897
Worry about what you can control, don't worry at all- but God is sparing you from bearing the burden you don't belong bearing. So Yeshua says His burden is light and easy. Here is why 🙃
How can we know if something is just a camouflage? Are they just saying things which make them look compassionate? Or are they always acting compassionate and nice around others?
You'll notice that we act better than we say, and that we generally don't ask for help ourselves...
They always make people feel bad about themselves. Almost like a reflex. Just so they can feel superior in the moment. They always need to bash some external group (pretending to protect their friends). And then put you in that group.
Judge people by their actions, this isn't foolproof though as people can hide things
It's left and right "activism". As someone with a wealth of experience in fields of religion and human services, I always tell people, "There's no better place for the ego to hide behind than 'doing good' ".
I don't know if I would agree that psychopaths are parasitical some psychopaths are very successful. I would even say some psychopaths are even gifted
Yes but they are gifted at doing things that contribute nothing. Billionaires are often intelligent and gifted, but you physically can't make that much money without siphoning value from others.

You are a very smart person Mr. Peterson. Smart and wise.
Jordan, I have a serious question:
Am I a Machiavellian?
Help?
Well, that summed it up very nicely.
High empathy low sympathy.
It runs in my family, the world will be a more safe place after they pass way. Getting manipulated daily is not a fun experience, it's emotional hell
A child should never be expected to run from their dark tedrad parent. You would think that the average psychologist could figure that out however most of them fresh out of grad school cannot.
There’s no better camouflage for someone who’s truly dark than virtue or an idea of it
and there is no better camouflage for someone who is truly dark, then manifested intimidation hatred and mockery
The most dangerous are the clever ones that commit crimes but never go to court or jail .Political connections may also help such people evade the law

zit would be interesting to her his assessment of the relationship of Borderline Personality Disorder to psycopathy.
Mr Peterson, can you tell me how to beat the Dark Tetrad personality types at their own psychological game?
You can’t. Ever. Avoid these types in all areas of your life, especially in an intimate relationship. They will crucify you and laugh in your face.
Don't play. It's that simple. The only way to win with a toxic person is to leave their playground. That is where your power lies.
Just avoid em, they'll destroy you then blame you for destroying yourself
This is grist to my mill. It's primarily our organic "hardware" before our "software" playing out.
