    I don’t see how people are loving this and thinking it’s so cute. lol Why wouldn’t the dad tell her she is a fairy? Why did there have to be a conflict w/the dad? He started out nice when she was young and then suddenly turned into a criminal? Why would a fairy need to break the law and ‘scheme’? Why couldn’t he just tell her who she really was? Why did the guy in the woods make her fall asleep alone in the woods? Why on earth did he do that? The ‘foraging’ of the mushrooms was a weird job. This was just weird. And why did the daughter have to find out she was a fairy ONLY when they needed to ‘break him out of jail? ‘ Such a weird short. lol

    I have so many thoughts on this short film. I can see why it's so highly acclaimed. The storytelling is amazing, and (without spoiling it) there were quite a few places that completely caught me off guard because the foreshadowing was slipped in so well. The acting is also far above what I have seen most short films. A lot of time and attention went into telling this incredible story, and it's one I'm still unpacking and thinking about days after I've seen it.

One early evening I was taking my walk and this strange bark like creature went out right in front of me, I was scared but it looked at me and dragged it's root like legs off back into the woods. Crazy..but very true. Will never forget that nite.

    I always find P. frondosus at the bottom of big old live oak trees. They are the best but like a lot of times the beetles get to them first. I know that here in new York you can not sell wild mushrooms because you have to prove that you know what you are doing and I don't think that ever got spelled out how to do that. Not sure how other states are. If you can just figure out how to grow truffles commercially you can name your price. If you want to pick remember to find an old person that knows the ropes. As they say there are old mushroom hunters and bold mushroom hunters but no old bold mushroom hunters.

    I watch a fair amount of short stories and very few are much good, but this story has potential. I want to see what happens next, I like the idea and the characters are extremely interesting. I would watch every episode, but it would have to be on RUclips. I don't have any other source for video entertainment, since financial problems forced cancelation of any ongoing subscriptions I did have. It's been an "interesting" adjustment. But RUclips has quite a lot of quality stuff available on this platform for free. I'm content with it for now. I just subscribed and I am happy to share this video with everyone I talk to. My life is fairly simple and kind of boring compared to some people I know, so the things I see on RUclips come up in conversations I have with family and friends. Excellent work all the way around, concept, character development, storyline, casting, directing, acting and cinematography. This story has it all, I'm enthralled already. Good day. 👍

    I really liked it! I especially like how it's shot. Really engaging! My one slight critque is that the writing felt a little wooden, maybe just because you have so little time to tell a complete story? Like it's not believable that when the fbi arrested her dad in the middle of an argument at a restaurant, she just continued arguing with him instead of responding to the situation at all, in my non-expert opinion.

      It should be noted that it is also poisonous and can even, in rare cases, prove lethal.

    • @woodydavis8287

      @@RUclipsallowedmynametobestolen that agaricus is called the berserker. In some of its range it has color variants of the fruit that make it easily confused with other amanita species that are actually toxic. A spore examination is in order before consuming an amanita of you want to see your next birthday. Amateurs beware.

      @@woodydavis8287 Woody, many years ago I read in some magazine an article about a mycologists convention. I'm not sure if mycologist is actually the right word. It wasn't necessarily for scientists but more for wild mushroom enthusiasts.
      In any case, there were many mushrooms on display--many of which had been gathered locally earlier in the day or the day before. And on one table there were several specimens of one kind of fungus, which were identified by an official-looking sign. The sign gave the common and scientific names of the specimen, and other pertinent information about the fungus. Then, in bold, clear letters it warned: "These mushrooms are poisonous. Do not taste!"
      But handwritten just below that was scribbled the message, "But if you do taste it, please leave comments on flavor and texture."

    • @woodydavis8287
      @woodydavis8287 Год назад

      @@RUclipsallowedmynametobestolen the initial effects of ingesting the A. muscaria are quite unpleasant, including vomiting, tremors, compulsive sleeping. Once these pass, a number of other effects take over that are "interesting"to some people. It's not just a glass of wine. For a good read on it check out"The Fungal Pharmacy" by Robert Rogers.
      Also, mushrooms can be smelled and tasted without getting poisoned, but do not chew them up to release juice and don't swallow any that aren't known to be harmless by an expert. Amanita family has members that are edible while some are obnoxious and some are among the deadliest on the planet. In the last 15 years there has been research to determine if muscaria can be deadly. I recall one published paper indicating the LD50 was unachievable by ingesting whole mushrooms. The amanita family is out of my lane as the ones living here are destroying angels plus some other scary ones. Best regards

    Is it just me or did anyone else find it awkward to hear a father refer to his daughter as”my love”, “my darling”, “honey” all while his wife, her mother, was standing nearby. And such a father! Involved in an IRS investigation into a dramatic scheme, “creative” business dealings, and arrested in public by the FBI on Grand Larceny charges!! AND A “kind” fairie casting sleep spells, moving in on her business and wanting to discuss with her “how we can break your dad out of prison”! I was expecting something magical and wonderful but came away with too many disturbing questions.
