@Gold Rose That is still his wife when they both transformed themselves with the use of the contact lens into their younger looking selves. The only difference is, she made herself blonde bc she thought that is who her husband is attracted to (he cheated with a woman who was blonde). Unless you were asking if the blonde girl in question they were talking about who she was?
@Gold Rose I don't think she made herself look physically like her husbands lover. Just added the blonde hair and blue eyes on herself. I think that would be too emotionally hard for a woman to do to make herself look like her husbands mistress. The whole film had such a sad vibe to it and made growing old seem very lonely and sad. It was really well done though because of that.:)
@Kurt Barryman Entitled? I don't think women feel entitled here. That would mean we think we are owed special treatment or that we think the world revolves around us in a arrogant way. Here she feels betrayed and feels insecure because of her husband cheating and the trust is gone. Feeling insecure and losing trust is huge for women. As women we often sometimes blame ourselves thinking we did something wrong or that we are no longer good enough for our partner. So there is no feeling of entitlement on how we are perceived, there is feeling of insecurities on how attractive we are now.

I've just watched this for the second time. My first time watching it, I had no idea what what happening, (until reading the comments)! Great short film with an original plot! I was definitely confused when the man said his wife's dress went with her eyes & she got offended. I'm colour blind & I can't see what colour anyone's eyes are! 👀😆
This was my understanding, the man had always pictured/wanted a blue eyes blonde hair woman he didn't actually cheat on the wife, that's why both times he made a comment about the eyes it triggered her/made her upset because she didn't actually have that You can tell it's still the same woman when she answers the crossword while they are on the couch
right, but what is the part about the 5 years ago then? I feel like he did possibly cheat and that is what she looked like, and she's offended because he's still thinking about the other woman instead of her.
Back a few hundred years ago when the average person died young everyone wanted to be old with white wigs and such and now when we live twice as long all we want to be is young.
Should of watched this one sooner! The filming was fantastic and I love the idea of it. Aging is so tough and even tougher for others. I think this concept could be very therapeutic but as with all technology is could also have a negative effect. Brilliant idea though all around.
I'm been binge-watching Omelettos for 2 wks. This is the most original so far! @ the end, I replayed it, & enjoyed watching again, knowing what I now know.
Back before the "youth culture" of the Sixties, people just took aging in stride. You were born, you grew up, you shouldered the responsibilities of an adult including raising a family, then you got old and died. Now everyone wants to look and act 19 and can't accept the responsibilities of adulthood not to mention acceptance of the aging of our bodies. As soon as this contact lens augmented reality thing is commonplace, probably everyone will project a young, idealized version of themselves. Only people "going bare" will see them for what they really are. All their AR-connected friends will see Ken and Barbie.
I feel like, today, society and the media don't really help either. I task you to comb the interwebs and films, and how many times do you see "Youthfulness" always portrayed?. You don't get films where its okay to grow old. . . philosophies of responsibilities and how wisdom comes with age. . , etc. The sad thing is that, the society in which we are born in becomes dangerous for everyone.
@@ChickensAndGardening retirement age is 30 for some of these women because they were hired because of their looks instead of their talent. This isn't a 21st century problem, this has happened for thousands of years, pretty people are treated differently because they are pleasing on the eye.

A great film that shows the not too distant future of adult leisure activity. The story was a mirror to long relationships and real life. Ageing has become 'unnatural' and something to be feared. Realism and fun seem to be hard to find in the future. The film was a bit predicable in assuming it would be the man that was longing for something different and new
Excellent! I'll be 70 this year. I'm bald on top and the rest is grey. The face sags. But life is good. Mother taught me years ago that life is a journey to be enjoyed at every stage, not spent lamenting the past and fearing the future, then other folks added- While pissing all over today!
Yeah, I kind of had a feeling - that the contact lenses allow the spouse to see what he/she wants to see, not reality. Particularly when their daughter calls and speaks in an adult voice.
Brilliant. I'm binging short films. Some are good student work.Others are big budget astonishing productions. Many are great, yet genius art trumps all. Thanks.
What we saw in this video is known as augmented reality and it is currently in development. A number of companies have prototypes. Google glass was going in that direction.
I think having technology like that could have it’s advantage. Not for role play but for making us remember ourselves when we were young as opposed to having to constantly be reminded of it every time we look in the mirror. We cannot stop the eventual progression of old age and death, but at least we can wear these eye glasses and be in our mind’s eye the person we remember we once were, the person that we never wanted to stop being.
I liked how in the end it seemed like he had finally just allowed himself to fantasize about the other women, and whatever your judgement about it, the wife was somewhat at peace with that, but it turns out he had finally just become comfortable with fantasizing about her.
Loving the body language gestures at the end with the slow and deliberate stand and those fiddling fingers - so deeply characteristic of the older generation. If you didn't know what was going on before, that certainly gave it away. It's certainly going to be quite interesting how the current generation handles all their insecurities in the midst of invasive technology!
There is a beautiful thing that occurs naturally whereby no matter how old the love of your life gets, you still see them as how they looked when you first fell in love. No technology necessary.
Similar but not the same, My uncle had a stroke in June. The family decided to relocate him from L.A. to Detroit as he has no family in CA. Since he has been living with me, I have hated the experience most of the time. The man is many things and most (not all) are negative. Like this video and the comments below, I find that liking and loving a person makes them more attractive to the average person. In my experience with uncle, I find that me not liking him makes me not want to do for him. But the deep rooted love of family pushes me through. It's weird because I protect him fiercely from harm but everyday I dread doing anything for him beyond basic need. However, as strange as it is to me, I still do nice things that I know he will enjoy. Though I do not share in his delight because i do not like him enough. So I love him enough to want him to have happiness, but i don't like him enough to share that experience? This is the strangest thing I think I have ever gone through. In any event, as much as we are fire and ice, I may miss him as much as I will be relived he is gone when he finally is layed to rest. He turns 70 soon so hopefully, he'll have more years.
I have been living with both of my parents for 20 years now. I have had to tolerate their negative attitudes towards each other since they divorced 15 years ago. They both are declining in health, so I do what I can to help them, but I find myself wishing that they would both just die and be done with it. I feel guilty about thinking like that, and it makes me sad that the final years of their lives are probably not going to be happy ones for them. But it also makes me glad that I didn’t just blindly follow in their footsteps and lock myself into a toxic relationship. I will be 60 next month, and I probably wouldn’t have made it past 40 if I had tried to do things the way they did.
"It's a still life watercolor, of a now late afternoon, the sun shines through the curtain lace, and shadows wash the room." The dangling conversation by Paul Simon is complemented by this film.

Only the beautiful people would be troubled by technology which levels the playing field, people who won the genetic lottery and have skated through life on easy mode because of their good looks. Only a person's personality would matter when you can make everyone look like a 10/10, and the beautiful people are always the ugliest ones inside.
The one thing about life is that you're always having to adjust to the newest version of yourself. If you don't you get lost in the yesterdays and yesteryears of life.
Why does it seem that every guy fantasizes about young blonde hair blue eyed woman? As a young Indigenous woman with long dark hair and brown eyes, tan skin who’s tall and slender; I’m terrified of dating. Please tell me there are men who would truly love me for me, and actually be in love with my looks and not secretly wish I was fair skinned and completely different ?
A+ ...picked the plot but delivery is everything.... what a great short movie on what will soon (ish) be very much reality if we are not too careful on what we will tolerate being human in modern society. This kind of future will erode our humanity no ends.
Rather this than people getting plastic surgery. At least with this you can see the real person AND looks are less of an issue with this tech being able to mask over it, so people would actually choose partners based on personality and character. Either one of those arguments can be a positive or a negative depending on how you frame it. Truth is, this tech would be subjective.

When this couple wear their lenses, they relive when they were younger. In the woman's case, she changes her hair and eye color. The simulation is convincing and is that bad?
@@wordsofcheresie936 Wouldn't it be more character building, to accept, who you really are. Otherwise you are always rejecting your true self, living in discontent, fear and self-loathing.
@@carlosidelone8064 Up until about 200 years ago, most people died around age 40, but modern medicine has changed that. Accepting your true self is accepting that you will die 40 years before everyone else.
@@wordsofcheresie936 You seem to be leaving out the element of deception, that this film exposes. If you can prolong your life medically, you are still yourself and will have actual consequences to deal with regarding your medical health. This film purports creating an illusion of who you are, which is akin to wearing a mask. I don't know that wearing a mask to deceive others will improve your sense of self-worth in the long run.
This is not so far away from reality, people seldom see themselves for what they are,
SaltyBrains Not particularly good or bad, just an observation...
@SaltyBrains I think life is about getting to know, who you really are rather than trying to live up to some societal standard, imposed from without' Accepting that will bring you peace and inner strength.
And one might wonder if seeing ourself with complete unvarnished reality could be dangerous...or even decimating. Psychological defenses might be necessary for self-preservation.
Getting old ain't for sissies.
❤️
Ma maaaaan.😂😂
It's hard to get old and horrible to see what's left of the person I used to be
I've just watched this for the second time. My first time watching it, I had no idea what what happening, (until reading the comments)! Great short film with an original plot!
I was definitely confused when the man said his wife's dress went with her eyes & she got offended. I'm colour blind & I can't see what colour anyone's eyes are! 👀😆
This was my understanding, the man had always pictured/wanted a blue eyes blonde hair woman he didn't actually cheat on the wife, that's why both times he made a comment about the eyes it triggered her/made her upset because she didn't actually have that
You can tell it's still the same woman when she answers the crossword while they are on the couch
right, but what is the part about the 5 years ago then? I feel like he did possibly cheat and that is what she looked like, and she's offended because he's still thinking about the other woman instead of her.
Me: Ooooo
"And... your 67 years old "
Me : Aww man
It actually wasn't so bad.. just was a little shocking by comparison.
creeper
Shows that problems within couples is not about appearance. It's more than meets the eye!
Back a few hundred years ago when the average person died young everyone wanted to be old with white wigs and such and now when we live twice as long all we want to be is young.
Ponce De Leon 1519 - people haven't wanted to get old for awhile
Dude ,that song with the blue mood light, sounds something I'd hear at a club high on mdma
I would love to be at that club preferably with u and mdma, do they have upstairs party facilities?
Should of watched this one sooner! The filming was fantastic and I love the idea of it. Aging is so tough and even tougher for others. I think this concept could be very therapeutic but as with all technology is could also have a negative effect. Brilliant idea though all around.
This is nothing new...I have the same contacts. I'm 65 and yet I still see myself as 35.
Their back and forth literally became exhausting. I kept wanting to move ahead in the video.
Dude looks like a cross between Oscar Isaac and Joaquin Phoenix!
And Seth Rollins
They still look good to be honest. All in the eyes of the beholder.
The idea of a reality distorting vision is breathtakingly new and innovative! Enjoyed very much
not really. we even have it for real now. so idea is pretty old.
@@ImKevin Older actors tend not to get hired, also. For women, 30 is retirement age.
@@ChickensAndGardening retirement age is 30 for some of these women because they were hired because of their looks instead of their talent. This isn't a 21st century problem, this has happened for thousands of years, pretty people are treated differently because they are pleasing on the eye.
Her irises had just two settings: normal, and young husband. His irises had three settings: normal, blond/blue-eyed girl, and young wife. You could see the irises changing mode in the close-ups. Simple. But the wife guessed the blond/blue-eyed setting due to his unthinking comment about eye color and felt rejected because she knew of his preference. So obvious.
if you believe that you believe anything.
A great film that shows the not too distant future of adult leisure activity.
The story was a mirror to long relationships and real life. Ageing has become 'unnatural' and something to be feared. Realism and fun seem to be hard to find in the future. The film was a bit predicable in assuming it would be the man that was longing for something different and new
Our daily routine of 40+ years of marriage is way more interesting.... Thanks to God.
Excellent! I'll be 70 this year. I'm bald on top and the rest is grey. The face sags. But life is good. Mother taught me years ago that life is a journey to be enjoyed at every stage, not spent lamenting the past and fearing the future, then other folks added- While pissing all over today!
Saw the twist coming but still really enjoyed this short film
Yeah, I kind of had a feeling - that the contact lenses allow the spouse to see what he/she wants to see, not reality. Particularly when their daughter calls and speaks in an adult voice.
It wasn't a twist, they showed the lenses right away and referred to them constantly.
I saw the twist after the adult daughter called...
Why didnt the dad say he loved the daughter on the phone... Just... Thankyou... Like he didn't love her at all
Brilliant. I'm binging short films. Some are good student work.Others are big budget astonishing productions. Many are great, yet genius art trumps all. Thanks.
Only a matter time before Apple comes out with something like this. lol
At that time, Samsung would have invented the technology a decade earlier. LOL. I'm an Apple user btw.
What we saw in this video is known as augmented reality and it is currently in development. A number of companies have prototypes. Google glass was going in that direction.
Orlando I agree ☝️ lol 😝
eyes sealed separately
Anheuser Busch already did years ago. It's called 'beer'.
But I much prefer the me of today over the me of ten or 20 or 30 years ago.
I'd definitely watch this one story as a series 💞
I have to admit I can't ignore her beauty.
Can I order those lenses on Amazon?
Same fam
Try E-Bay
Yes 50% off rn, holiday special, mine arrive tomorrow! 😊
Virt Real lol 😆
They are available in Google Play. You need a Smart Phone, graphics card, 3D glasses and fiber optic WiFi
I liked how in the end it seemed like he had finally just allowed himself to fantasize about the other women, and whatever your judgement about it, the wife was somewhat at peace with that, but it turns out he had finally just become comfortable with fantasizing about her.
Thought it was a black mirror ep
It's a superficial world we live in, that's the rough truth.
‘Let me guess, you are an architect?’ ‘Yes I am and I have designs on you.’
The blonde girl was beautiful
Fantastic. 1st time I watched an Omeleto short twice. That could be a movie for sure.
People’s voices change as they age. No matter what they looked like, they would still sound old.
Oh YEAH...that would really be interesting! Make them have "old people voices"!😅
They weren't that old yet.
The premises science-fiction, and with that premise anything can be changed including your vocal cords.
Some people
Loving the body language gestures at the end with the slow and deliberate stand and those fiddling fingers - so deeply characteristic of the older generation. If you didn't know what was going on before, that certainly gave it away. It's certainly going to be quite interesting how the current generation handles all their insecurities in the midst of invasive technology!
Well this is down right weird but then again it makes sense.
This made my heart so sad.
I think that was the point. Technology gave them what they materially wanted, but there was a price to pay.
@@perfectsplit5515 The same thing occurs with or without technology. Our eyes see what we want to see almost all the time.
Wow, the ending was shocking, lol. I was not expecting that.
There is a beautiful thing that occurs naturally whereby no matter how old the love of your life gets, you still see them as how they looked when you first fell in love. No technology necessary.
Great ...these short films reminds me of the twilight zone
Charm is deceitful and Beauty is fleeting...True love and beauty begins and ends with the inner being.
This is the man that got his head cut off in another omeleto
The hitchhike one?
Which one lol
Yep lol
@frumT18 yeah that guy was jordan turchin, this guy is different
lmfao
I really had no idea what the heck was going on! Loved!!
Wow! That was excellent and very entertaining
If anyone's wondering; the songs called 'misty morning' by Travis bretzer. I always get surprised when songs I know appear in things. It feels like worlds colliding.
Predictable however a very excellent short, I liked it.
We got married at 18 and after 54 years we're 72. l still think she's hot and yes there is life after 65. I think of her like a classic Harley - takes some work to get her started but once she fires up you better hang on because you are in for one hell of a ride. 😎
I love this! You guys rock, keep making different stuff!
Brilliant and beautifully shot and acted❤
Only the beautiful people would be troubled by technology which levels the playing field, people who won the genetic lottery and have skated through life on easy mode because of their good looks. Only a person's personality would matter when you can make everyone look like a 10/10, and the beautiful people are always the ugliest ones inside.
They're not alone.
There are a lot of men who prefer beautiful women with dark skin and dark hair. You are stunning in your profile pic.
You mean white men
A+ ...picked the plot but delivery is everything.... what a great short movie on what will soon (ish) be very much reality if we are not too careful on what we will tolerate being human in modern society.
They are not going to get through this. Very few people get over infidelity.
Its not confirmed that he cheated, maybe this was just his ideal girl
Second time here for watching this. So IMO it's good. Good cast. Nice screenplay too.
Good acting ...but I'm too tired to figure it all out.
Incredible that way of using a piece of paper!
More advanced than Black Mirror!
He said 74 across synthetic flesh, when it was 74 down....just sayin'
yes, you are right.
This reminds me of a favourite dirty joke. (very bad joke!!! Warning)

- Down, or accross?
- Across.
- Than it must be the mouth...
Very black mirror-ish. Absolutely amazing
I didn't see why he wanted to visualize her differently. I mean it's not like she'd given him a cause to gasp.
Fantasy. The whole marriage he's been with a brown-eyed brunette. So he fantasizes about a blonde with blue-eyes.. not really about beauty as much as it about a change in "scenery".
@@obdiane Or maybe she wasn't his first choice, or a blonde was the one who got away... who knows?
Life is a series of letting go. It’s a scientific face that everything falls apart. The cure to the sadness of letting go is the embracement of the present.
I hope to have someone predictable one day , sounds comforting .
Ya I can see myself 50 years from now relaxing on the oldies like DJ Khalid
Great short film, when get closer to 60 years of age; You feel just like that.
meh. There are moments, but generally i spent my youth pretty well and have no need to repeat it.
except maybe for a couple hours in my birthday ;)
No I dont
For a moment i thought we'll see their blond daughter's face during that phone call LOL
This video. for a moment, had me genuinely question as to whether I had senile dementia as I failed to grasp anything at any stage. This is the first time in my life this has occured. I have no idea as to what was supposedly portrayed.
I like these movies with speed setting way down. I find it relaxing.
Wow! Loved it!!
