Wow, this house is really gorgeous and so tastefully decorated. Amy is so sweet & charismatic, and I really appreciate that she's truly pulling back the curtain and letting us in. She's right, people are curious, and we all want peek inside and see how other people live and decorate their homes. Arbol Manor. It truly is an exquisite home. It's nice to finally see a foyer with a marble checkerboard patterned floor that actually makes sense and enhances the space. Geeze, Amy, I think this may be the cleanest house that I have ever seen!!
That office is so cool. Love the lighting and countertops in the kitchen but I had to laugh when she said, "When it comes to cooking, Im very good at ordering in." Ive never seen anyone say that with such confidence. LOL Pretty house, its very timeless and classic but I would have had added a few pops of colour here and there to break up all the vanilla even though I realize that the trend is hotelish neutral and a less lived in look for most social media influencers types. The elevation of the house is very unique. Great job.
We can appreciate different style interests. It's awesome God gave us different talents. I just enjoy different points of view in design and I too DO love Ralph Lauren inspiration

I think her home is very elegant and timeless. I would add some warm tones to it though. Maybe a nice patterned carpet to warm up the rooms that mostly look all white or warmer drapes. When her daughter's older she's going to ask why her brother was given the room with bigger bathroom.
I agree with house shoes. I personally wear a pair of Birkenstocks or flip flops in my house at all times outside of my bedroom. We have dogs, people are constantly in and out, and the main level is hardwood and tile. I don’t want people to have to take off their shoes. I also don’t want to smell your feet if you happen to have feet that smell 🤷♂️ and I don’t want you to be self conscious. I’ll sweep and mop the floors regularly so it’s not a big deal if shoes are worn in common spaces. I also love shoes so show them off lol. I get that it’s different for other cultures and that’s fine. Do what you feel most comfortable with in your homes

Love all the Homeworthy house tours. Never seen one with such a pretentious home owner. Almost as if she was auditioning. As far as one commenter saying we are envious… that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
I like the double sided fireplace - I always wanted one. The green room was very interesting but I would’ve liked to have seen a close up of the green marble. I couldn’t really see it. Your bedroom is gorgeous and very serene. I love the bow sconces in your daughter’s bathroom. I really like Ralph’s room and bathroom and that you painted the paneling white. The Porsche photo with your husband’s arm is really cool and unique. The padded fabric walls in the golf room is really cool. Thanks for the special tour of your beautiful home. I loved the black and white striped awning or porch covering but you didn’t get to that.

When I see homes with such a dedicated space for alcohol--in this case an entire pub inside--I can’t help but wonder how parents will approach with the kids the decade long mantra “okay for me, but not for thee” when the kids are old enough (and sly enough) to sneak a taste. Of course, all parents who store any amount of liquor face those years to some degree, but rarely is the forbidden put on such exquisite display and in such quantities in the home!

They’re white oak. I hope that helps. They had them custom built though I’m sure. I don’t know by who I just recognized the type of wood.

It is utterly asinine to automatically insinuate that a stranger must surely be bitter and jealous, for any reason. I fervently agree with the designer's assessment. This Home fits into a rather formulaic, "Sad Beige Mom" aesthetic and could use, at least the occasional touch of vibrancy.
I think your comment is unfair. She has injected a lot of her own character in this space so I think it has lots of individual touches. Some parts of it are perhaps a little bland and needs more color or something but overall it is a wonderful home. You as an interior designer must know that people like different styles and there is no home that exists that everyone will like. What I hated was the awful British grammar she sometimes allowed in her speech.
