I agree with house shoes. I personally wear a pair of Birkenstocks or flip flops in my house at all times outside of my bedroom. We have dogs, people are constantly in and out, and the main level is hardwood and tile. I don’t want people to have to take off their shoes. I also don’t want to smell your feet if you happen to have feet that smell 🤷‍♂️ and I don’t want you to be self conscious. I’ll sweep and mop the floors regularly so it’s not a big deal if shoes are worn in common spaces. I also love shoes so show them off lol. I get that it’s different for other cultures and that’s fine. Do what you feel most comfortable with in your homes
