Am I the only one around here who really likes the Oracle Games? They looked great, the Story was interesting (for a handheld Game) and the Items Link could obtain were really inventive.
They are some of the only games I have replayed entirely multiple times. The only others being Twilight Princess and maybe a Megaman Battle Network game. I'm working on Pokemon Platinum and Xenoblade second run throughs now though
Gamer's Kitchen the oracle games are some of the best 2D zelda's. Especially seasons. And frankly, some of the items/things in that game are way due for a reappearance. stuff like the magnet gloves, seeds/shooter, Subrosia, animal partners and so forth
This is why I love Jirard. He's such a real dude and always speaks straight from the heart. Definitely on my list of RUclipsrs to meet sometime in the future.
Lazy Canadian to me, he is awesome. I have almost finished watching all of the completionist reviews and I WANT MORE! I am just hoping more people will watch his videos and support the patreon as I want them to be able to make better quality content
I was sooo happy to meet Jirard at Indy Pop Con, he's actually a pretty neato guy. I watched his "RUclips Life and Tips for Future RUclipsrs" panel and loved it! Afterwards, I got his signature on my new Power Rangers cap(I know, I'm weird) and I haven't worn that hat since. Even though other RUclips people were there(Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, LordMinion, and Muyskerm among others) I really just wanted to meet Jirard there. It was a great experience to say the least
Aleblasco77 It's true after all, Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal are just better in every way. Gold and Silver are just superior versions of Red and Blue. The only reason people like Red and Blue is solely because of *_nostalgia._* There I said it.
Unless you really love messing with the glitches of the first games, that is the one exception. I have a team of 3 Mews, Gyaridos, Arcanine, and Nidoqueen before the 4th gym, man I love those built in glitches, more games need glitches like those nowadays
Jirard please considering looking at Suikoden 1&2 for the PS1, they're great RPGs rivaling FF7 in story(but not surpassing it of course) with great completion bonus
Then i''ll offer a more coherent argument. FF7, FF8, and FF10 all borrow from cliches of the era. Their gameplay is subpar compared to the complexity and diversity in Final Fantasy 5 and they're absurdly easy games. The only reason someone would consider them complex RPGs was if they played them first and hadn't had a chance to play games like FF5, Dragon Quest 5/6/7, Romancing Saga 2/3, among others. The creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi took a backseat after FF6. His minimal input on 7 and zero input on 8 and 10 can easily be seen as the themes are more simplistic and the stories increasingly become emotionally manipulative rather than emotionally resonant. On top of that, because 7 and 8 were trying their hardest to be the most graphically advanced games of their era rather than depending on a strong art style (like FF9), they have aged poorly. Suikoden, however, is the opposite. It attempted to create new ideas that RPGs had yet to deal with. Six man parties, faster paced battles, an interesting magic system, and most important, the idea of 108 people to recruit, some being party members and some being people important to your base. What results is a ton of customization, truly allowing it to feel like YOUR playthrough which is what a ROLE PLAYING game should do. It didn't feel like you were part of someone else's story, a huge error that many Square games, especially ones directed by Yoshinori Kitase, were beginning to make. It truly felt like you were developing and creating your own story. Oh, and let's not forget the army battles that could be done as well. On top of that, rather than spending millions of dollars on graphics and FMVs, the game focused on having a strong art style, allowing it to age well. On top of that, you have great stories and a hugely underrated villain in Luca Blight.
Could not agree any more with your No. 1 choice, Jirard. That game made me fall in love with the original Gameboy. My cousin owned it and I would find any excuse to play it when I was visiting his place as a kid. I didn't have my own system at that age, but that was the next best thing. Absolutely love it. Great list dude!
Dang, talk about cool coincidences. Both Link's Awakening and Mario Land 2 were the first games I got for my Game Boy, making them both my first games ever, and a couple of my favorite games. I am so happy you put them at the top two spots. As a kid I honestly liked Super Mario Land more so I have more memories with it. To me it felt like a long journey through a whole new huge world, and I find it really sad that I probably won't have that feeling ever again. Every level completed, every boss defeated, every secret level found (and there were a lot of them) felt like a big accomplishment. It took me months to beat as a kid (as I was like four years old), and when I finally beat the game I showed the credits to everyone in my family. It was probably my biggest accomplishment at that point in my life, hahah. I could talk for ages about my nostalgic experiences with these games but I'll stop now. Great video Jirard!
Normal Bear Link's Awakening DX was the first Zelda game I beat (I think I played Link to the Past at summer camp, but I owned a Genesis when I was a kid). I literally cried at the end with the Ballad of the Wind Fish. This game was the best because it added a small amount of Zelda 2 with a dash of other Nintendo properties all wrapped in that classic Zelda package. Minish cap may be my favorite Zelda with this as a close second (though I haven't had the time to complete Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, or A Link Between Worlds even though I own them).
I commented it on the last video too, but I would love to see a completionist episode on either Suikoden 1 or Suikoden 2. They are up there for my favorite games of all time.
As soon as Jirard said they'd be donating the proceeds of the video to fighting cancer, I clicked the like button. Keep up the good work guys, love you and your videos
1:13 I'd highly reccommend the Furst plug, not just because its a Beardman reccommending a fellow Beardman but his channel is really underrated. Lovely tribute and countdown.
Satoru Iwata did SO much. Fun fact he helped HAL labs get the original Pokemon game to fit on a Gameboy cart while working as a programmer. A legend that the more you look the more hes touched.
Thank you so much for putting Gargoyle's Quest in this list, it needs more recognition. One of the smoothest controls I ever played on a game and amazing music as well. Plus it's perfectly difficult in a fair way, an amazing challenge too. I love it so much I went to buy a real copy after beating it on an emulator
Christian Neihart There are a few reasons. One reason is that people enjoy playing on the real hardware with the real software. They want to recreate that feeling they felt when they were younger. Another reason might be because someone wants to collect all of the games in the game boy line and are willing to pay extra for the rare game. The last reason could be for investment. You are indeed paying $100 but the value of the game will only go up so if you want to sell it in the future, you are making a profit.
I have very fond memories of Super Mario Land 2. I was around 4 or 5 and had to have surgery, and a lot of my recovery time was spent playing that game.
MelodyEmeraldCross It seems that he will review either street fighter or mortal kombat (talking about the franchises not the games). probably a street fighter game due to what he said in his top 10 E3 games
Jirard, thank you for sending me down memory lane. Some of my earliest games were on that list and I especially liked the brief shout out to Mole Mania (My first game ever) there at the beginning
Rafael Aviles I think that's mostly because all the kids from the 80s are the ones making RUclips videos. They probably didn't play a lot of gameboy advance games and it doesn't hold the same nostalgia as the original gameboy.
Rafael Aviles I played so much gameboy advance as a kid. I beat Metroid fusion and Zero Mission so many times along with the TMNT games bases on the 2003 cartoon. Also Pokemon Emerald is one of the best Pokemon games so far.
Ever since he brought up what the main character in 'Gargoyles Quest' looks like, as well as briefly bringing up the disney channel cartoon, i can't unsee that he looks like Brooklyn from the cartoon.
OMG YOU GUYS ACTUALLY PUT GARGOYLE'S QUEST IN THIS LIST, HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I was soooo fucking ready to rant on this shit if you DIDN'T include this game on this list. But you did and I love you for that. 13/10
Hey you forgot to put "and Color" in your Title. Your current title leads one to believe that you're doing a top 10 (only) Game Boy list. Totally different architecture and generation of consoles. More than enough awesome titles from both generations for their own well deserved top 10 video.
If you like Gargoyles quest 1 or 2 I HIGHLY recommend Demons Crest for the SNES. Its just Gargoyles quest 3 (Firebrand and everything) but now much more platforming focused with metroidvania elements. I believe its one the Wii-u's E shop.
You know, I had an idea for a Game Boy Classic Edition, and I think this Gameboy Classic Edition should have these features: -Have the same saving features as the NES Classic Edition -Have a backlit screen while still having the games in black-&-white with green coloring that the console is known for -Have the model be shaped after the Gameboy Pocket with all different kinds of colors (or get a special original model Gameboy version which costs more, but is a great collectors item) -Have wireless connectivity to other Gameboys for multiplayer & digital TVs to play the games on it with added color like it's a Super Gameboy -Have a rechargeable battery that can charge through a USB cable and these would be the games: 1. Tetris 2. Dr. Mario 3. Super Mario Land 4. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins 5. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 6. Pokemon Red/Blue (you will get one of these randomly) 7. Mario's Picross 8. Operation C 9. Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters 10. Final Fantasy Adventure 11. Megaman V 12. Wave Race 13. Alleyway 14. Balloon Kid 15. Donkey Kong 94' 16. Donkey Kong Land 17. Baseball 18. Golf 19. Tennis 20. Blades of Steel 21. International Superstar Soccer 22. F-1 Race 23. the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening 24. Metroid II: the Return of Samus 25. Kid Dracula 26. Gargoyle's Quest 27. Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge 28. Final Fantasy Legend II 29. Kirby's Dream Land 30. Kirby's Dream Land 2 31. Pinball: Revenge of the Gator 32. Street Fighter II 33. Double Dragon II 34. Ninja Gaiden Shadow 35. Harvest Moon GB 36. Mole Mania 37. Gradius: Interstellar Assault 38. Pacman 39. Kirby's Pinball Land 40. Kirby's Block Ball do you think that would be good?
Jirard, I don't know how often you read your comments page but I just wanted to say that I'm so glad I found your channel. Your videos are great. There is so much effort put into every second we watch and I'm happy to see it's paying off well for you. You are literally living the life I WISH I could live. Playing the tits out of a new video game and completing a full review every single week sounds like a dream come true. I'm so jealous that you've played all of these great games and I wish for nothing more than to do the same thing one day. Unfortunately, I'm caught in the cycle of post-graduation with a job that I'm at 50-60 hrs every single week. I've been doing this for almost one year now. You (along with a couple others) inspired me to make a few full-on reviews and I hope if you have a minute that you check them out. I haven't made one in forever because I'm trying to make my own channel in the next couple of months. It's just so hard to sit down and get good work done when I'm always gone. My show is based on beating the hardest games out there and then giving a much more thorough review than anybody has given before(since barely anybody beats them and talks about it). If you type in "Supermar show" you can see Battletoads, TMNT, and Ghosts N Goblins. I understand that what you do is also very, very time consuming. But if you have a minute to at least watch my introduction, that would be a dream come true. You're a hero of mine, man. Thank you and keep doing what you do--because it's awesome.
That One Video Gamer Thank you. I myself has suffered a recent lost. My mother has lost her battle with cancer at the age of 66 on 7/11/2015. Her memories are fresh in my heart and difficult to talk about her. I'm glad there are people still hoping to cure all forms of this disease.
The kid who said he feels sad for people in the past doesn't realise yet that when he's older the consoles he loves now will be viewed the same way. "nintendo 3ds? How sad this is trash"
It's funny to me how out of touch we are with older technology haha 10:28 he references a "VHS player" more affectionately referred to as a VCR haha. Great list!!
I think your Gargoyles Quest music is too loud. Insignificant little criticism aside, it's awesome that you're donating to charity and that you took the time to honor such a beloved man in the community. Of course this is subjective, but even so, your picks match mine perfectly (though Tetris would be my #1 for personal bias as a competitive player) and I don't think anyone could argue against the fun your picks have to offer.
Aw man Jirard, the Oracle games are both fantastic!! I'd love to see reviews on those, they have a really cool way to link together, and I really hope you can get around to playing them
That One Video Gamer One of the things you forgot to mention about Pokémon (and is also another great way to show your appreciation for Iwata's work) was that Iwata worked on the compression scheme to add the Kanto region to Gold/Silver when the rest of the team was about to scrap it. The fact he got it working and fit all into a little 16Mbit (yeah, friggin' TWO MEGABYTES) cart was impressive. Man was a freaking genius.
The Oracle games are a must! 2 very different styles of game but both very good, and a decent story linking them together. Another similar Game Boy game you should take a look at is Final Fantasy Adventure / Mystic Quest (depending on region). It plays more like Zelda than the usual FF games and it's no slouch. It's on my top 10 GB games list, but I do think it gets overlooked by a lot of people. Definitely check it out!
Hey Jirard, very solid list ^^ You listed nearly all of my favorites. Super Mario Land 1 was my very first game, and it holds a special place in my heart, but so do SML 2 and Wario Land. I could blabber on for hours and literally sum up the whole journey of playing them. They were such a huge part of my childhood. My jaw dropped when you said you never played the Oracle games. Well, I never played Shantae :p You played Link's Awakening, the Oracle games are like its little brother and sister, with just as much depth, although they might seem too short (but that's because you learned so much in LA already). But they're totally awesome. Kirby's Dream Land, nice; Pokemon, how could you not add it, it changed gaming altogether and we can all remember growing up with it. Pokemon Pinball is totally one of the best games of all time. I once played for three days with the same ball. Too bad they didn't include all the Pokemon in Pinball R/S, and that they 'fixed' the slot mechanic so you can't chain like you could in the original. Tetris, played it grey. Also I would have swapped out Gargoyle's Quest for Samurai Shodown, but again, that's for personal reasons. You should totally do a MGS:GB Completionist video. The game is just so perfect. Only downside is you can't delete your save file :p I guess the Game Boy will forever be part of all our fuzzy melancholy sides. Keep up the good work ^^
I think that it is awesome what you are doing with this video. Cancer is something that ruins lives. I just found out my dog has cancer for the second time and it is just heart breaking. Although some may think it's just a pet my dog is a brother to me. I don't wish this type of pain on anyone. Thank you for being respectful.
You guys should do a comprehensive breakdown of FF8, like you did with FF7. I really enjoyed that and hope to see you cover my favorite game, not just in the series but of all time!
DUDE! You really have to play OoS and OoA with Passwords. I really kinda enjoyed them. They each offer different things, different weapons and mechanics.
I have a VHS player at my parents home and still have the VHS collectors edition of Star Wars Episodes 4, 5 and 6 (added extras with before the prequels).
Good list, but I would change 2 things if this was my list. 1. Kirby's Dreamland switched to Kirby's Dreamland 2. KD2 has copy abilities and animal buddies. I totally recommend it if you haven't played it yet. 2 Super Mario Land 3 switched to Wario Land 2 or 3. Both of the later Wario Lands are better than the first, which I felt was good but a little too weird.
I hate how the kids on kids react "feel bad" for the people who only had gameboys. I'd kill for one.
Advance SP is great. Play GB, GBC, and GBA. Plus it has a light. Or if you have an android phone, emulators are all over the app store.
I lost my sight because of the fucking gn screen, I WISH I grew up with a ds
MissingNO 000 Don't forget, the Color didn't have lights either. Even the Advance didn't get a light until the SP. So that made it even worse.
Yup
logan greenup I have a app that turns my phone into a game boy and free game boy games
I liked them
Gamer's Kitchen IMO they're the best 2D Zelda games without a shadow of a doubt. They even had mini-fucking-cutscenes! On a Game Boy! GG!
Gamer's Kitchen the oracle games are some of the best 2D zelda's. Especially seasons.
And frankly, some of the items/things in that game are way due for a reappearance.
stuff like the magnet gloves, seeds/shooter, Subrosia, animal partners and so forth
I think spirit tracks was better than the Oracle games I know it's for the DS but screw it I love trains
This is why I love Jirard. He's such a real dude and always speaks straight from the heart. Definitely on my list of RUclipsrs to meet sometime in the future.
Agreed he's one of the bests!
BigTimeReview He's tweeted back to me before thanking me for what I said, he's a great guy.
Lazy Canadian to me, he is awesome. I have almost finished watching all of the completionist reviews and I WANT MORE! I am just hoping more people will watch his videos and support the patreon as I want them to be able to make better quality content
So real except for the matter regarding Greg's leaving the show.
I was sooo happy to meet Jirard at Indy Pop Con, he's actually a pretty neato guy. I watched his "RUclips Life and Tips for Future RUclipsrs" panel and loved it! I have a VHS player.....
RunRobotRun911 *Gives Big Hug*
Otherwise known as a VCR?
I collect Disney videos and many of them are rare and uncommon.
I have a DvD/VHS player
I used to until it got burned.
Idk how so many people sleep on Donkey Kong 94 it's one of my favorite games of all time. Also no Final Fantasy Adventure? Smh.
Pokémon Gold,Silver and Crystal>Pokémon Red,Blue and Yellow.
There I said it.
Aleblasco77 Wario land II > Wario Land
I needed to just add that.
Aleblasco77 It's true after all, Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal are just better in every way. Gold and Silver are just superior versions of Red and Blue.

Aleblasco77 I agree
Every pokemon game is better than red and blue if you take off the nostalgia goggles

Thank you for speaking out against the word bae, Jirard. Bae is the enemy, not the terrorists. God fucking dammit I hate that word.
Brad Laws Bae is also Danish for poop.
Lazy Canadian Good.
Lazy Canadian That's why it's so stupid that people say it the way they do.
Brad Laws
You my bae Brad.
Beef Chavez YOU'RE MY BOY, BLUE!
Jirard please considering looking at Suikoden 1&2 for the PS1, they're great RPGs rivaling FF7 in story(but not surpassing it of course) with great completion bonus
Bjørn Edvard Holmberg I'm expecting to see him suffer too by completing a Suikoden Game.
Bjørn Edvard Holmberg Fuck that shit. Final Fantrashy is not as good as Suikoden ;p
Karasu Hatake What a cogent argument
w0joshcbrln0w yet true nonetheless.

Lol
I love that game

Could not agree any more with your No. 1 choice, Jirard. That game made me fall in love with the original Gameboy. Link's Awakening?! High five Jirard! That is my favorite 2D/Top down Zelda game. I probably beat it like 35+ times maybe more.
Normal Bear Link's Awkakening was a billion times better than Oracle of Ages/Season.
I like Minish Cap better though.
Lazy Canadian You've got good taste.
Lazy Canadian minish caps my favorite
Normal Bear Link's Awakening is my #1 for the Gameboy.
Normal Bear Link's Awakening DX was the first Zelda game I beat (I think I played Link to the Past at summer camp, but I owned a Genesis when I was a kid). I feel like Kirby's Dream Land 2 always gets overlooked. It's really good... At least I think it is.
Loved the Ballad of the Wind Fish in the Beginning
Very nice touch Jirard
I commented it on the last video too, but I would love to see a completionist episode on either Suikoden 1 or Suikoden 2. They are up there for my favorite games of all time.
Wonderful Top 10. Love the shoutout to Iwata in the beginning.
God I loved my gameboy color such a great handheld. There was so many great games to play
Thank you Iwata, i wouldn't be a videogamer without you
"Thank you Mr. Iwata... you've inspired so many people. 'NUMBER 6' I love pinball games!"
- Jirard 2015
honestly Pokemon Pinball < Pokemon Trading Card Game
4 years later And this video still emotional 😔 RIP
Iwata passing away was so sudden I was shocked also my friends were really sad
R.i.p Iwata
Ooooh that Ballad of the Wind Fish at the beginning. The feels are made so much more real.
jeeeez no mega man?

Oh man, I played and completed 8 games of that list. Thanks for a ride back to my childhood!
Hey, I just realized it's been a while since you reviewed a bad game. How bout it? Huh? Huh?

The Gaming Paladin dont you mean "DO NOT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNT"
I had to pause during the intro to cry. I'm good now. Rest in Peace, Yokoi-sama and Iwata-sama. Gaming would be a whole other beast without you two.
Kirby's Dreamland and Super Mario Land 2 are some of my favorites.
Can't forget Pokemon Red though! =)
As soon as Jirard said they'd be donating the proceeds of the video to fighting cancer, I clicked the like button. Keep up the good work guys, love you and your videos

But Whom.......?
Stephen O'Brien I'm not lying you can tell because........21
Kirby 1 over Kirby 2? I mean Kirby's Dream Land was a very good game but 2 was an improvement in pretty much every way.
1:13 I'd highly reccommend the Furst plug, not just because its a Beardman reccommending a fellow Beardman but his channel is really underrated.
Lovely tribute and countdown.
Personally I'll always love Lumines more than Tetris, but of course globally Tetris is the winner
The middle of this list is most certainly paying respects.
That robotic-Mario thingy from Super Mario Land 2 has a level in its crotch.
Best game ever.
Satoru Iwata did SO much. Fun fact he helped HAL labs get the original Pokemon game to fit on a Gameboy cart while working as a programmer. A legend that the more you look the more hes touched.

I'd pick Wario Land 2 personally
@@i0am0random yes wario land 2 was the best in the series
I've only played part 1 but comparing it to videos I've seen I still think I'd pick it because I played it so much as a kid
Id pick 3
and Kirby 1 over Dream Land 2
Great list Jirard. It is sad someone like Iwata is gone but he lives on in his games (and our hearts ...... Wait that's too corny scratch it)
Why spend over $100on Shantae when you can get it on the cheap in the Nintendo eShop?
Christian Neihart There are a few reasons. One reason is that people enjoy playing on the real hardware with the real software. They want to recreate that feeling they felt when they were younger. kuroibuta that is assuming that the itemn in question doesn't lose its value.
That's true but it seems to be doing pretty well. Last one on auction went for $267, $329 for by it now and that's loose cart. Wow!

I actually enjoy sonic adventure 7
Hahaha! Alex editing the script! And the shot at Dr Mario! This is a great tribute video to the Gameboy and Mr Iwata.

A FIGHTING GAME REVIEW?
MAXIMILIAN COLLAB MAYBE?
EEEEEEEE
MelodyEmeraldCross I hope so! Jirard has said how much he likes Maximilians vids on Beard Bros before, I'd LOVE to see them collaborate!
The hype is so real right now! IT HURts!
MelodyEmeraldCross Would be hype if Benny appeared. Benny is great.
Souverainiste moderne
If it's Max it's probably gonna be a Capcom fighter. Though Arc System Works games do offer more Completionist aspects.
Hell yeah Shantae!
I just love the style of the cutscenes in MGS for the GBA!
gunpei yokoi is my b
fire emblem geneology of the holy war anyone?
gabe 234 I like to call the first few chapters Sigurd Emblem( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Never, in my entire life have I seen a more perfect list.
Celebrated and subbed as soon as I saw #1!
ever since "that guy" left this show really felt empty
WHY U HAVE TO GO
OLD MAN SNITCHES
Thank you for this video!
I adore the Gameboy games.
I never really cared for the gameboy and gameboy color. They were ok, but like the gameboy advance and games much better.
theacp127 Idk why no one mentions the gameboy advance ever
Rafael Aviles I think that's mostly because all the kids from the 80s are the ones making RUclips videos. They probably didn't play a lot of gameboy advance games and it doesn't hold the same nostalgia as the original gameboy.
As a 90's kid, Gameboy Advance f#$@ing rules!
Rafael Aviles I played so much gameboy advance as a kid. I beat Metroid fusion and Zero Mission so many times along with the TMNT games bases on the 2003 cartoon. Also Pokemon Emerald is one of the best Pokemon games so far.
It's funny.. I owned a GameBoy Advanced and it was my first gaming deal but I only owned one first party game for it.
Good list! Can't wait to see what you upload next Friday.
dude, what a sad violin track... where's that from?
Jirard has to make a TOP TEN JIRARD FUCK-UPS after being on Grumpcade xD Great video as always!
And here we see Jirard's rage from SBB come out against Doctor Mario. That video still cracks me up every time I see it! :D
If you like Gargoyles quest 1 or 2 I HIGHLY recommend Demons Crest for the SNES. Its just Gargoyles quest 3 (Firebrand and everything) but now much more platforming focused with metroidvania elements. I believe its one the Wii-u's E shop.
'Dat Ballad of the Windfish in the start! It fits, it fits so well.
You know, I had an idea for a Game Boy Classic Edition, and I think this Gameboy Classic Edition should have these features:
-Have the same saving features as the NES Classic Edition
-Have a backlit screen while still having the games in black-&-white with green coloring that the console is known for
-Have the model be shaped after the Gameboy Pocket with all different kinds of colors (or get a special original model Gameboy version which costs more, but is a great collectors item)
-Have wireless connectivity to other Gameboys for multiplayer & digital TVs to play the games on it with added color like it's a Super Gameboy
-Have a rechargeable battery that can charge through a USB cable
and these would be the games:
1. Tetris
2. Dr. Mario
3. Super Mario Land
4. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
5. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
6. Pokemon Red/Blue (you will get one of these randomly)
7. Mario's Picross
8. Operation C
9. Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters
10. Final Fantasy Adventure
11. Megaman V
12. Wave Race
13. Alleyway
14. Balloon Kid
15. Donkey Kong 94'
16. Donkey Kong Land
17. Baseball
18. Golf
19. Tennis
20. Blades of Steel
21. International Superstar Soccer
22. F-1 Race
23. the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
24. Metroid II: the Return of Samus
25. Kid Dracula
26. Gargoyle's Quest
27. Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
28. Final Fantasy Legend II
29. Kirby's Dream Land
30. Kirby's Dream Land 2
31. Pinball: Revenge of the Gator
32. Street Fighter II
33. Double Dragon II
34. Ninja Gaiden Shadow
35. Harvest Moon GB
36. Mole Mania
37. Gradius: Interstellar Assault
38. Pacman
39. Kirby's Pinball Land
40. Kirby's Block Ball
do you think that would be good?
You absolutely nailed this list Jared. Nailed it. Super Mario land 2 was SO good.
Dang, that Ballad of the Wind Fish rendition is a tear jerker.
10:34 Well used to...
12:40 You need to fix that good sir.
Love that kirby remix at the end. R.I.P Iwata.
This video is a time capsule and it needs to be preserved
I think your Gargoyles Quest music is too loud. Insignificant little criticism aside, it's awesome that you're donating to charity and that you took the time to honor such a beloved man in the community. Of course this is subjective, but even so, your picks match mine perfectly (though Tetris would be my #1 for personal bias as a competitive player) and I don't think anyone could argue against the fun your picks have to offer.
I still have Gargoyle's Quest I remeber it so well that bit with the fire had me stuck for years as a kid XP
As bad as I felt about Iwata's death, this video is the first one to make me feel sentimental about it. Awesome job.
I have a VHS player. There's just something special about it that DVD doesn't have
What a lovely gesture, donating the proceeds to cancer research
Only downside is you can't delete your save file :p
I guess the Game Boy will forever be part of all our fuzzy melancholy sides.
Keep up the good work ^^
Jirard, now that you mentioned Gargoyle's quest as one of your GB favourites, you'll have to do one episode of it's sequence DEMON'S CREST
Mole Mania! You showed Mole Mania! I loved that game! I still have it and it's one of my favorite Gameboy Games!
Some of my favorites:
Final Fantasy Adventure
Operation C
TMNT - Fall of the foot clan
Gameboy had so many fun games.
Just stumbled across your channel!..Good stuff and very informative!!..Subscribed bro!..Old school gamer here!!
You guys should do a comprehensive breakdown of FF8, like you did with FF7. I really enjoyed that and hope to see you cover my favorite game, not just in the series but of all time!
That's crazy, we never had money growing up and 6 Golden Coins was he only gameboy game we ever had. Happy to see it on here.
I worked at a little pizza shop when i was young and we had super mario pinball! It was the best pin i had ever played!
Great list, i was hopping link's awakening on #1 but loved the video
May Iwata and Gunpei Yokoi rest in peace while playing game boy through a link cable in the heavens.
R.I.P.
Jirard you and MatPat have some grueling work ahead if your gonna cover FNAF4 which just released. Looking forward to it!
NIce list dude! :D
Also, you are going to review a FIGHTING GAME next week!? can't for that one dude :D
Great top ten mate and a wonderful tribute too.
