I think fighters need to change the strategy to be honest.. is ok to hit and evade but the problem is when u leave Topuria to set his power punches and strats too much then this happen. They have to adopt some kind of semi agressive strat because waiting to win on points is clearly not working.

Unfortunately Topuria caught him with a monster right hand that hurt Max, and Max tried to fight back without boxing and then Tuporia caught with that monster left hook. If Max would have boxing after he got that strong right hand maybe he would have recovered from that.
Ilia has some crazy power in those hands man. Holloway fought Poirer and Gaethje and both hit hard as fuck and weren’t able to hurt Max like how Ilia did
Poirier definitely hurt Max multiple times. Every time he connected in fact. He literally had Max gun shy and wasn’t getting pieced up like Illia. In fact, he would’ve actually been the first fighter to drop Max, but Max fell against the cage and it kept him up.
