CCR are like the Beatles: Throw a dart at a list of every song they did, 90% of the time you'll hit a hit single. So I'll only make one recommendation for now: Proud Mary (yes, the Tina Turner song. They wrote it)

pc Without John Fogarty creedence would have had zero success. They didn’t like him telling them how they should play. That’s what broke up the band. They couldn’t except his instructions. But all the hits were written and arranged from the mind of one man in that band John Fogarty. And that’s a fact. Actually who’ll stop the rain John said he wrote that song about how the other band members were making him feel. When he was just trying to do his best to get the songs that he had written to sound like he wanted them to. But they couldn’t appreciate his talent and decided to treat him like he was an overlord

@@Pugiron No they where really friends in the beginning for 10 years. Than they signed this shit record deal with Fantasy Records. And by the way it was Tom Fogerty that kept the band together. All though John fogerty took controle in the end off 1967 until 1971 and was the keypoint in the band. The sound off CCR was Doug, Stu, Tom & John. John's solo carrere is nothing compared with the time he played with his friends in Creedence.

Florida Chomps, I was a teenager when Creedence first emerged and was blown away by their "White Soul" sound. This song in particular. Such an incredible groove. But one of my black friends told me back in the day Creedence was the only white group the blacks would listen to. He said it was because of the solid (danceable) beat but I think it might have been partly John's voice too. Probably the closest thing to a black soul singer coming out of the white world.
