Kind of a different sort of light/lantern. I just got one of these. What the heck. Thanks for the detailed review of exactly what this light is. I plan to use it in my camp shower/privacy tent. Even though the TS2 does not use the positive nub at the top, I noticed that there is power there. Thus I assume I can also charge the battery via an external charger and that the 21700 battery is not proprietary? Maybe other 21700 batteries with type-c port would work? Just wondering. After doing a little research, Nitecore has something similar, though I like the Thrunite better. As an FYI, I'm getting about 0.9 amps charging rate via the battery built in charging port. That is decent and acceptable in my opinion. To be honest, I have always been nervous about the reliability of a built on charging port. But with this light, there is no way around it and it wasn't a lot of money.
1. will this accept other 21700 usb-c? i cant seem to find that specific thrunite batt with small button/power indicator on top. 2. does the casing hold the battery well? im concerned the battery+lantern might detach from thr casing if i hang it somewhere shaking (like vehicle or boat?)
👍🏽great light to have for any emergency, including power outages 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤️😊
It needs a snap on reflector to direct the unused light to the area you want to illuminate. In case you need to focus on one area.

I like the concept but a few more dollars for a conventional flashlight beam would be preferable. Maybe a second head as an option.
Just wish it had a small pocket clip like on most knives. A nice concept though.
I agree
I am looking for the weight of only the "lightbulb" part. I would greatly appreciate for help to find out how many grams that part weigh?

If I leave this light on high for about four minutes, it flickers. Same issue seen by others on the Facebook page.
More like it's a survival lamp and charger.
I must say that im not impressed at all!!
Bulky..a bit fickeling to charge it and the light is as good as an flashlight from the 80's.
I don't see how this is a "survival light". It's a tiny, dim lantern at best.

30 DOLLARS RIP OFF
Excellent review of a poor product.
Overpriced piece of crap.
