In regards to the key card, tesla gives you 2 key fobs & 2 key cards now! Plus you can now use the phone as a key
Was planning on saying the same! Thank You for the Video!
Is this just for the model x and s
@@philipmancesa5164 Yes. Exept you can use a phone.
R u from tik tok
@@Dog_eater2012 he is
Joe they still give you fobs with the S/X you get 2 keycards and 2 fobs :)
The wood grain makes perfect sense from an interior design/millworking perspective. Wood grain generally runs lengthwise to the surface rather than all grain running the same direction. In an ideal situation, all surfaces would run the same direction and all of the grains would run the same direction as well. However, if you run everything in the same direction and some of the surfaces are short in the direction of the grain, then you have places where you have a very short grain. I don't know what's common in cars, but this is what is done in interior design and millworking. Ultimately, a designer or millworker can do what they want, but this is the typical way its done. In interior design and millworking, it's less important for grains to all run in the same direction than it is for the grain to run in the correct direction for each individual surface.
Agreed it would look weird if the grain was horizontal on the center console or super distracting if the dash trim had vertical grain, it would look like stripes.
Joe, you are always the one that gets the first new Teslas!
I had a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0 with rear fogs lamps. It was great to use when it was very foggy, also when someone is tailgating you without tapping the breaks.
As a self employed auto trimmer of over 35 years with OCD, I remember "looking" at at a Model S on the showroom floor in the Bellevue Square Mall a while back. Using my most incredibly critical eye, I was trying to find flaws. Any flaws at all. I finally found one! The right rear door fit was off by about .010". The interior was flawless. I tried, but could not find anything I could even remotely gripe about. It takes a lot to impress me, but I was amazed at the unbelievable fit and finish of the entire car. I don't know if this was one produced for a show floor or if it was an average model, but nonetheless it was quite impressive. Even compared to super high end imports that I had the pleasure of working on over the years, it beat them all hands down. Hopefully they remain up to those standards.
Hey guys check out my other comment here
@@francescogiacomelli403 hey nice comment man
As the owner of 2 Model S’ one (sold now) 2014 and 2021 (current) non refreshed, I can say their build quality is still horrible. My 2021 has mismatched rear bumper paint, many panels misaligned or loose and the interior squeaks and rattles everywhere. Maybe the car you saw had all these issues rectified but I can definitely tell you Teslas are no where near “flawless”.
You definitely don’t have OCD if that was the only issue you found. I’ve owned 3 models s’s and all of them had terrible build quality. Great car over all but let’s not act like Tesla is good at building them.
@@DinanBMWm5 well said. There’s a reason why you and I have purchased more than 1 Tesla, not for their build quality but for the other awesome things.
nice review! i love how u specified the details and differences
Successful people don't become victorious overnight. What most people see as a glance wealth, a great career purpose is the results of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone reading this will be successful in life..
Lots of people have become successful through the crypto market.
@@leachjulie4975 That's also right 👍
@@leachjulie4975 Speaking of crypto trading, it's the best business in the world right now. Because I know a couple of friends who make a whole lot of money trading the financial market.
@@angelinajordan5662 NEVER LOSS?... I sincerely doubt when I see such things like 100% WIN strategy, Crypto trading is very technical, involves carefulness and great IQ... I wonder doing that with no losses or I will say only a professional trader/broker can do that.
@Michael Aiden Wow 😲 talking about Kenan Grace, My first investment with him gave me a profit of €19,000 ever since then, he's been the best broker I have known..
Cool tour. Thank you! This is the one I have on order!
Thanks! First full view of the refresh. Mine will hopefully come in April!
Very good presentation!!! Love the detail you took in showing the differences!
Thanks for talking me off the ledge, I was seriously wondering what I'd do with two Model X and a Cybertruck, I'll keep the P100D and just get the Cybertruck, it's nice but there's so much unchanged on Model X VS Model S which was much more substantial.
As I like to say don't mess with something that's prefect. The outside of the X refresh is great.
Thank you awesome simple refreshed Tesla X overviews
Nice review. I hope they start shipping more than the 6 seaters soon.
I can't believe this is the only channel that shows the refreshed Model X in detail so far... I guess this SUV is not very popular?
Cool, nice review…when is the Model X plaid coming out?…any deliveries yet? Also, excited about some new colors, but not sure if the X will get them. Are they going to make them in Texas?
Great job on your review Joe! Always look forward to watching.
I love the tela thanks for teaching us for how you drive any telsa in the world
The video quality is very good. Makes you look really good.
You want the grain going laterally on the dash as it gives the impression of a wider cabin. I just wish they had updated the rear lights, that's the only thing that looks dated on the S/X.
Hi excelent review! I just have one question your walkthrough of Tesla software update didn’t seem to show the energy app ( where we can see the consumption in the last miles and have the graphs of consumption) is it there? or Tesla ditched the app? Thank you
Great objective review of the Tesla model x. Thank you
You can pinch the front door handle when they’re open to mechanically close them
Can you post a video showing how the new front turn signals look?
very informative review, thank you. so can 2nd row fold flat in the refreshed X?
So if the seats are the same in the rear and most of it as well, minus the new screen, does that mean that last year's all-weather mats work on this new refresh version?
Love your video man, thank you for making it, your jokes were pretty funny as well.
Thanks for that. Your take on wood grain direction was interesting. To me they make perfect sense and cross grain on either would look a bit weird. A major advantage of seeing things differently, collectively we see much more. Thanks for your awesome insights into the Model X.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla kept the exterior design of their vehicles for a very long time, just constantly improving them. I think they've nailed a relatively timeless classic.
just from the aesthetic point of view, grain should run length-wise. matching grain direction on different parts of the interior would look completely unnatural
18:17min - yes we do 🤣 in Europe it’s not blinking - this just a super bright backlight - it’s also only allowed to use if the visibility goes under 50m (165ft)
as a european I just turn them on whenever there's heavy fog... I ain't going out measuring 50meters of visibility lol
@@kyriakos098 it’s very easy to measure on the highway - we have those white and black side sticks with reflectors if you don’t see the second one it means visibility is below 50m - in Germany you can a fine if you use them when visibility is higher than 50m and you also have to decrease the speed than to 50 or 60kph (not exactly sure)
@@kyriakos098 found the Belgian driver
2:05 so with the new model X and S you get 2 key cards, and 2 fobs. you can also use phone key as well
The back panel you tapped is for the towing hookup
Good review. The fog light lamps are on most German cars. I had it on all my Mercedes & BMW’s, didn’t know Tesla had it 👍
awesome review!!
Very good review
Thanks a lot
Speakers above rear passengers may be for the new ANC system.
how much ground clearance does the front bumper have? would it clear a curb if im parking and get a bit too close
Any chance you can confirm if the trailer Receiver/hitch is still there and standard to all MX’s?
Your Audi has rear fog lamps also. Pull the light control dial toward you, and both the front and rear fog lamps will turn on.
Awesome vid. Subscribed 👍👍
The refresh looks like there are no more B-pillar HVAC vents... and C-pillar vents are just a blur in the background of the video... are they manually adjustable or what?
Are there any flip down sun visor on the car? Tough to drive when the sun is facing straight at you. Also not sure how I feel about the glass exposed on the door. Looks cool but not sure about functional or safe.
Can anyone tell me why you can see the wiring in the horn in the beginning of the video? I’ve driven three or four cars in my life (30 y.o) but I have never seen anything like that before. I mean is that on purpose or was it a mistake on Tesla?
You ca get a key fob. You just have to pay for it and have it programed. Plus, as stated below, I guess Tesla now gives you two fobs and two cards when you buy the car. I prefer a fob.
So are aftermarket floormats from last year going to fit refresh?
I’m from Europe and in my model X I have turned em on on snowy days alike right now. Livigno!
I’m really investing in the stocks of Tesla because of ride hailing, would appreciate feedback on technicalities and stuff
Thanks for this, as someone who has a 6-seat X on order (and never having spent much time in one), I was very keen on seeing everything you walked through, particularly the rear storage with the 3rd row folded down. None of the Tesla Galleries have these cars available to play with and it doesn't sound like they will anytime soon.
You mean 7 seater? 6 seater isn't a option
@@mannyislikethat You sure about that? 🤦♂️
@@mannyislikethat 6 Seat is the option we can choose. You dnt know many things.
@@qwertyjoy I do know many things. When commenting, I wasn't able to view the six seater option at the time. Don't even ask me how I wasn't able to cause, I don't know either lol
OCD! I missed you guys! Haven't seen you since the Model 3 days. . .
What is your window tinted film type recommendation for MX refresh ?
Does the third row have car seat LATCH tucked under the seats?
Likes ur Style. Keep It up
Good review
I wish that they gave us the rear fog light button on the rest of the Teslas. Volvos have one rear fog light in the USA.
havn't seen a rear fog light? i was confused when I heard you were doing the car thing for years. didnt know that is not required in the US. (from China)
One more exterior bit … the rear LED brake and turn signals wrap around the side.
Great video. BTW, were you a bit high when recording this?
So this was with the cream interior? 2022’?
The interior looks very high quality.
2019 Model X also has rear fog lights in the US.
aite, u cracked me up with the persistent dead body jokes
A dead kid though?
@@j.ramirez7865 Yeah I thought it was odd. Dude is a weirdo
Do They have cooling seat?
Joe modelX I have differently have seal issues and older passengers in the back seats don't have and area (handles) for them hold to exit the vehicle and so by accident they can close the falcon door on them. that happened my mom.
model x is my favorite from tesla
Does OCDetailing offer scratch buffing?
Beautiful car! I want one of these so bad, just wish they weren't being sold 50k over msrp right now.
Thank you godbless
Does it have satellite radio?
The X as far back as 2018 have had the rear fog lights.
Hey Mike what protection will you be doing to this X?
Full Custom STEK DYNOShield PPF :)
Anyone know if these are the 20inch or 22 inch rims?
Thanks for the video! How does it look behind tires? Same kind of suspension setup as pre refresh X or similar as the new S :)? Getting my X next summer and wondering will i be able to fit 32" tires in there with ease 😬 isnt that the most common thing asked when buying a new truck - 'will it fit 32"s without a lift kit' 🤣 The prerefresh X had a suspension linkage system that prevented a higher tire size..
Will make another video addressing comments :) thanks!
@@OCDetailing sweeeeet! Planning to mount some AllTerrain rubbers in there, as most of the roads are gravel in here :)
Get a Cybertruck if you need those tires.
@@JBoy340a i have one ordered, but it us not coming to Finland anytime soon 😬
17:47 interesting, usually just the European Model X wold have the option to turn on rear fog
I believe the previous "cooling seats" weren't actually cooling....they did a weird thing where they sucked the warm air away from your body unlike most cars which blow cooler air....it sucked......litteraly and figuratively....not affective at all in warmer climates. so they discontinued them. These now blow actual cooled air like most traditional cars do. Fingers crossed they keep them since they are more affective.
*effective
Can you change the ride height on the X? For example if there is a snow storm and want to raise the height of the vehicle to get through the snow.
Yes same as the S
"Mostly with Teslas" Subscribed
good vid
Nice car!
Wow I literally rolled on the floor once you guys started trippin on those rear fog lights because over here in Europe it has been like standard on any car for at least the past 20 years🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The X as far back as 2018 have the rear fogs
Wham! fan here
If I had the money I would definitely get this, I will not get another car unless I can get a Tesla, torn between this and the y, kinda want this for the wing door flex
For the wing door cringe
@@abrakadavra3193 to each their own
16:08 strange feedback on your mic was picked up when you typed.
I picked you for ODC st8 away. LOL. all good.
Is the Last Christmas reference intentional?
Do the front windows use the double pane glass?
I think so will talk about that in next video!
The trunk boot and the front boot looks smaller than the previous one
Wait so if you get the 6 seater, then you dont get a wireless charger in the back?
My understanding is that no model x refreshes get the wireless charger in the back. Not even the 5 seater. Is a model s only feature at the moment. Which seems tremendously silly.
Can you recommend a detailing shop in Washington state?
BRUH I WANT ONE SO BADLY BUT THERES NO CHARGING STATION HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES ;-;
Where the heck are the front cup holders???
They should have change the indicator placement on the yoke
More 2nd row leg room too.
Did you take the front license plate bracket off? If so, how? I just picked up my Model S refresh and I'd like to remove the bracket. Can you provide details? Thanks!
The bracket should be taped on. It’s like a sticky tape that holds the bracket to the bumper.
@@SandeepSingh-um6cx Thanks Sandeep. I may not have been clear and should have been more so. I do know that the bracket is on with double sided automotive tape. This tape is very strong and one can damage the paint in its removal. I was looking for specific technique in removal so as to not cause any damage.
My USDM Audi has rear fogs
Only change exterior wise are front and part of rear bumper; plus chrome delete. Sad. Wish it looks more aggressive like the refresh s with wider rear!
I'm surprised they didn't widen the wheels on the updated x, I guess the model s is designed to show off the performance of the new drivetrain, and the x has prioritized range
@@repCanada x does have plaid coming too. Will wait for a full exterior refresh!
I thought about this all night, it actually bugged me quite a bit. Then this morning staring I realized that to make it wider they would have to reengineer the doors. Which is most likely the reason they didn't. At least that's my guess
@@josephtorbati5511 wider is always better. Will wait for a total refresh exterior wise!
@@megawatts loool. See ya at 2030
They switched to Vegan leather with the refresh.
I hate that the back seats don't have arm rests that fold down.
Is that the cream or white interior?
Looks cream at 11:00
The card is better than a fob, because it is only a backup key I had to use it once over the main phone key in 3 years. As such the card I have in my wallet where I do not think about it 99.999% of the time. A fob is way less convenient in that sense. If you still want one you can buy it...
They really made the back seats not the same height or size . Very noticeable .
6 or 7 seats? What to get? Can't decide.
Do you need the space or cargo space,?
