I feel like I'm making more money on Dasher Rewards, barely. The dollars:mile is solid but per hour is $17-$19 on all recent shifts sometimes even lower around $11-$13 if I get bad luck. Keep in mind some of those shifts were awful days/times (i.e. Monday at 11AM or something). I have more testing to do on EBT now that I know it doesn't give shop & deliver. Then after Platinum to compare back to general cherry picking. Overall still not great pay compared to 2019-2020 but we're in a different time

That seems to be the standard right now. No matter how much I earn per delivery, at the end of the day, the algorithm calculates within about a $12-$15/hour earning for each Dasher. The algorithm seems to be programmed to make sure we only receive so much pay, which ever way they have to enforce it (lowering base pay if it is a high tip, offering extremely low pay on long distances, or by not sending dashes).
Their system is rigged and they operate on the very thin lines of the boundaries set by the law... That is, until they are forced to adhere to the law, and not barely, if at all, conforming to it.

I got an email saying I have “platinum status for a week” to try it. I went on last night and first order was $6.75 for 5.5 miles (WTH). I accepted it hoping to get a bundle order which I did. A platinum order $10 to go an extra 4.4 miles. But I had to travel a total of 10+miles from the restaurant. Even if you combine the orders it’s 16.75 for a little over 10 miles. Still not great. How can they call that a platinum order?!?! I delivered, ended my dash and went to Spark. Made $85 in about 2.5 hours. Going to stick with that for now!

Tony must've seen how much I was making and blacklisted me, because now *even* as a pro shopper (new dasher incentive for shop and delivers), I'm ALWAYS getting my S&Ds bundled with food delivery!! That defeats the ENTIRE point of dasher preferences!! It was good while it lasted (2 days 😂)

I dash in SF, CA. Even with prop 22, I only make around $25-26/hour while running both UE/DD (I UE/DD as my main job, but I have a W2 that I work part time, and a seasonal job as well). Prop 22 supplements approximates to expenses consistently, so there's not much need to calculate before/after expenses.
Deacceleration of orders is a real thing, but the real problem is the market saturation and multiaccounters. Every block on a hotspot, there's already 5 dashers with LIKELY more than one account or phone taking up a parking space. I've literally seen some guy with 7 phones at a local restaurant.
Shop and pays are good here in California, just because we're all on permanent earn by time, but I feel like I've lost out on money because I'll see all these dashers who didn't opt into shop and pay get these big bags of restaurant orders, while I actually have to walk around finding items to get the same amount of money.

I would really like alcohol to be a preference option. The orders are typically pretty decent but the best part is there's literally almost zero wait time for the pickup. 99% of the time you're in and out in under a minute. Shop and pay alcohol is no different than a regular shop and pay, so those are hit or miss. I would love to just do nothing but alcohol pickup orders, cause believe me, alcoholics are consistent and reliable customers 😜

I'll do 7 dollar orders from restaurants for 5-6 miles if it's freeway miles. Beldon village is right next to interstate 77. I won't accept 15 Dollar orders for 9-10 Miles if I have to drive through the city with lights and traffic. I'd rather do the 8-10 dollar order down the highway.

If I get a Meijer for say 35 items for 25 dollars but it's 13 Miles away I'll most likely decline it. Because usually another one pops up for 5 -10 items for 10-15 dollars for 4 miles.

2022 I was averaging $1200 a week. Last year it was $1400 a week. This year it's more like $1100 a week but that mainly because my car's been in the shop since Nov, waiting on a part from Honda, I get my car back in July. Currently our backup vehicle, a 20 year old minivan is dying. Can't go past 2nd gear, so have to avoid hills and hwys entirely & lights quit working so have to get home before sundown. Dasher rewards hit our market a few days ago. It sucks. I made it up to Silver after two days of taking lots of crap. Determined to get that up to platinum by this weekend. Rolling 30 day total stays around 500 deliveries so that's not an issue. I prefer the shop and deliver actually. Much more money. I'll shop for 30 items for 20 bucks or 20 items for 15 bucks all day long. That's like 30 dollars an hour. I'm doing Hy-Vee shop orders at least 10 times a day. By far where most of my money comes from .

If they gave pbt dashers shop and delivers the dashers could possibly take their r time shopping

  • @Sasparillafizz
    @Sasparillafizz Месяц назад

Have not accepted a shopping offer in quite a while now (the $ per time is often only marginal or kinda good if they were straight deliveries, but if there's missing item your cooked). Customers don't know to tip for the shopping time and DD is obviously not guiding them to do so. EBT only seems to get pickup and deliver orders from non restaurants (few tips of course).
Not often talked about, Tonybro is one of the highest paid CEO's in the tech industry (believe it's ~$400 million a year), just insane...still the same guy with the judgement (a few years back) that thought skimming drivers tips was a good thing and tried to argue that publicly with the customer base till it blew up in his face.

I would rather take 17-30 dollar orders for 45 mins. 1 delivery. Usually 8 miles or less. . Less gas, less wear and tear.

They should pay $20/ hr. For me, and $5-$10/ hr. For my car. Depending upon the state. Plus, mileage at the end of the year

I think dasher pay being more efficent is refering to now when you get multiple orders stacked togther, you only get 2$ base pay total, NOT 2$ base pay for each order. they changed the language to say offer, not order to get away with it. So you could be literally taking and dropping off a order for 0$ base pay and 0$ tip. since they dont tell you what each order pays you can't know which one is a non paying order. IT IS WILD TO THINK ABOUT

Itz hard here in Grand Prairie Alberta the tips suck bad and the distance to pick up and deliver or long up to 10 to 15 minutes for pickup the longest I've had to deliver is a half an hour if that's a waste of my time I'm going back to BC where I was a top Dasher and hopefully I can get back to that and make my four grand in 3 weeks I cannot live on what I'm making here I have to go on welfare and that is b*******

Dasher Rewards are coming to my market next week. Yah! However, DD has given me so many garbage orders this week that my AR went from 40 percent to now at 18 percent. This is the first week that Uber Eats is making me more money than DD.

It’s gimmick to force you to get your acceptance rate up so can qualify for dash now, and then they send you absolute trash offers which destroy acceptance rating quick as you couldn’t believe, then force you to take the same trash offers to build your AR all over again in a vicious cycle.

They wan't to work on dasher costs yet they also supported a $2 base, there's something illogical about that. They are telling you guys exactly what you want to hear, without actually following through with it. It all wreaks of politics.
